Ask any of his opponents if his “Murdered By Kicks” mantra was just something cool to put on a t-shirt or a forewarning to how you’re gonna end up by the end of the match. His street-savvy persona screamed New York through and through and created a larger than life character just as alluring as the Big Apple. The saddest part about the story of Matt Travis is that he was undeniably set to be a star in the world of wrestling. His aura and in-ring ability screamed “television ready” and he was only in his 20s. Although we lost Travis late last year, his legacy will live on forever. MBK for life.
