100% you do. You got this. Just forget about the 99.5% of times it didn’t work. THIS time is different

As a 16 handicap absolutely if not for the risk of the ball hitting the tree and coming back & hitting me. So probably not.

I totally. I would pick that ball up, throw it right through the trees. Boom.

They call them hero shots because heroes hit them.

Updated: I MADE IT THROUGH… landed right of the green, I bailed on the shot the second I hit it so I sliced that thing big time

What the hell did we come out here for? To play smart? Do it!…. But watch out for “in your ear”

Wouldn’t go for the pin but definitely a stinger through the gap to run it up close

How far is it? A little half swing with a 5 iron just to get between the trees and over the bullshit would get you back into safety and a good look at an easy wedge.

I think in this situation I’d definitely go for it and I’d feel pretty confident there’s not even much risk here.

The other options seem to be:

Laying up on the same line, also risky as you could still hit the tree or go long into the water

Laying up sideways, so negative it’s almost as bad as the worst result you could get from going for the green.

Club up and play a lower flighted shot to keep it straight and under the branches and commit to it.

Even if you don’t go after the green, I don’t see a scenario that you don’t go through that gap

Yep. That’s wide enough my slice hasn’t started to curve before the goal posts.

100% easy sand wedge shot for me— always blade it low and straight the upper branches would never come into play
