The Good Good U.S Open Major @ Oakmont
In today’s good good video, we are playing one of the hardest US Open courses in the history of golf, open. And it’s so hard that I actually asked some locals what they think the winning score of the US Open will be. They said overpar. With that being said, we all made predictions before the round on what we think we’re going to shoot today. See, I really I my goal it’s lofty, but I’m going 70. I want to shoot even or better. No, I’ll go to 70. If I can break 80, I’d be so happy. 85 is great. 85. Today we’re going to be tipping out the golf course, playing around 8,000 yds. The rough is some of the thickest rough I’ve ever played. The breeze is up and the greens are fast. Shout out to the USGA for having us and all the other creators out. Before we get into this round, we’re going to head over to the range and warm up. Well, we’re here at Oakmont, obviously the host of the US Open, Oakmont Country Club. Beautiful piece of property. We’re going to be filming a major. Me, Garrett, Sean, Brad. Very similar to what we did at TPC Scottsdale where Brad somehow shot a 65. All right, warm up full 10 off 50 minutes. So, get a little warm up in this range is unbelievable. I’m going to try to swim didn’t feel too too hot yesterday or no yesterday. So, I’m try to exaggerate some feels. Try to get something dialed in for the round. Excited to have a day out there. This is like just as a golfer, I mean, you always want to play the US Open, right? Like that’s like for an American growing up obviously everybody wants to play Gusto, but like the second tournament that you want to play is you want to play US Open, right? So to be able to play place like Oakmont with so much history of hosting US Opens is incredible. It makes you realize how lucky and blessed we are to be able to do what we do. So looking forward to getting out there. How cool is this? Come on over. How cool is that? We’re playing the US Open today. I’m just trying to break it. That’s kind of my goal at every major championship course. Just try and break it. That’s all. Hey, they got one out here. I bet they do. It’s It’s in trouble. [Music] Dustin Johnson won the last US Open here. Wow, that’s cool. With the penalty, Mark was here. With the penalty. Yeah, with the penalty in that final round. Wow. You think we’re touching? Look, look at all these spike marks like in the metal spikes. Hundreds of years of spike marks like from the metal spikes. That’s pretty cool. See that little foot locker in there? That’s where they kept the whiskey back in prohibition. Really? So you’re not supposed Everything’s original, right? I mean, yeah. I mean, pretty old. Yeah. You can see the golf swipes on there. So cool. Metal. That’s awesome. This is so cool. Cool. Cool. Awesome. Let’s go play some golf. Yeah. I’m sorry. I got I got All right. What do you think your boys are shooting out there today? Do you want honest answers? I want honest answers. All right. I I would go 80. What’s the par here? 78. 70. Cuts. He’s going to have an awful day. Like 97. And Bob’s going to shoot 102. I need you think he’s in the triple. I need Dear in a church pew like you wouldn’t believe. I’m back, baby. What What’s your goal today shooting wise out here? Um this this is cool. This is cool. This is the first time. I would say if I break 74 today, that was a great day. Um 74 or better. Never seen this course. I mean, we know how hard it is. Like everyone talks about it, but yeah, 74. Is it a par 70? I don’t know. But that’s usually like a score cuz the cut for us is uh it’s like plus five for 2 days. So 74. If I can just hang around that area, I’ll be good. All right. Come on, baby. Come on. [Music] Guys, the good good lone star shootout. going to be an interesting style video. We only have four of us. Normally you see us do the good good major. Today I think what we’re going to do is we’re all going to set a number for ourselves. So we’re going to play the major T’s. We’re going to play it down the whole way. The rough is grown up. It’s basically in major championship shape other than the fact that they’re going to dry it out. And we’re all going to set a goal. What do we want to shoot? I mean I I’ve heard it’s car 70 or 70. So 71 on the card, but this hole is a par five. Normally that’s par four for the tournament. Oh, we going all the way back. Sharpie 72. See, I really I my goal it’s lofty, but I’m going 70. I want to shoot even or better. No, I’ll go to 70 with you. I’ll go to 70. I just want to break. It’s a lofty goal, but I really want to do it. If I could break 80, I’d be so happy. What do you think, Char? 85 is great. 85. I don’t know. You play the way you did Scottsdale. Yeah, then I’ll shoot. I’ll break 80. I was going to say, all right, little T flip. See who goes first. The Oakmont T flip, baby. That is sharp. That boy sharp. Second will be Garrett. Last. Well, third will be Sean. I will be last. Third is the Yeah, right now we were going from best to best to worst. Well, I’m teeing off first cuz you know that’s what we do. One part one part four. Shout out Oakmont, baby. This is something. It’ll be okay. It should be fine. It should be fine. Might just be the rough. No, not the rough, man. Dude, look at the rough. What is this? I hope I never go in that today. These fairies are literally 10 yards wide. Brian kill. You were fine there. Another That’s a missed fairway. I mean, you can’t really lose it on this hole, so that’s good news. It’s all about hitting the fairways today. That’s the thing. All right, those two left chimneys. Let’s try to find somewhere between Sharp and Garretts. Oh, good balls. Frick. That’s beautiful. Right on the chimney. Right on the chimneys. That’s what I did. First T-ball Oakmont. One for one fairways. That percentage will go down. All right. Follow Sean. Right on that same line. Copy paste. Oh. Uh-oh. Stay right. Go ride that goalie. Get way bright. All right. Wait. Cart cam. Cart cam. Is this mine? Is that the car cam? All righty. We are off, y’all. These fairways are so narrow, too. The thing, too, about today is that obviously US Open rolls around in June. Everything’s going to be baked out firm, fast. We got the rough, which obviously adds to the challenge, but the fairways are going to be kind of soft. So, we’re going to be playing this about as long as you could probably play it. We’re probably going to be pulling some head covers off for par fours, but it’s okay. Egos are gone when you’re playing Oprah. [Music] Great start. 248 you said. All right. Play to try and get up and down from far out. Got 210 to the flag. 192 cover on that front right bunker. And then we’re uphill probably at least 10 paces again. I told y’all it’s going to be playing long. I got four in trying to hit just left of that chimney. Don’t want to miss this green right. That’s what my guy Bri was saying. Oh, that’s um dead a Please stay left. Yep. He said don’t miss it right. So what do I do? Might as well miss it right. So this is our first You have to be steep on it for sure. Yeah. I got to got to be really steep. Got a beat. Trying to get this ball out of here is going to be a challenge today. That was fun. I hit that as like as good and hard as I could. That was fun. What a start. In the bunker near the lip and not a good lie. So 56 degree. I’m just going to hit out there by Garrett and try to get down for four with a wedge in my hand. ball just nestled down in the sand. Try to get Lean for par. Bogey would not be the end of the world. All right, guys. Colin. Let’s put one close. That’s not good. Holy crap. Give me a thumb. Yeah, that was a nice little divot. You cannot go right on this hole. And all I was like, “All right, just put me on the left side and I’m going to call it good.” Look at that pellet call. Hey, wait. A divot core. Tik Tok edit. Like all the divots today. That is so satisfying. Wow. Feel like you guys need to subscribe just for that. I get to 2 million. Yeah, if that divot alone does not get us to 2 million subscribers, honestly, I’ve lost all hope. All right, 140 yards to the pin. I got pitching wedge. Going to the left of the pin. Hopefully get on the green. Give myself a look. We’re just right at it. Got to straight up close. It’s soft, so it might might Well, I pushed it just barely out of the pin, but I think everything kind of falls to the right. Hopefully stay on the green. Here I am in the bunker, Colin. Luckily, kind of rolled back off the lip a little bit, which helps me. But got kind of an interesting bunker shot. Just gonna try and play a little left here and give myself a pop for Is that a fist bump cuz you made it? No, it’s fist bump cuz I hit it. Great. All right. Well, you won’t see my ball unless the camera’s right on top of it. But uh I got a fun little shot here. Oh my gosh. I haven’t hit out of this stuff. It’s been a long time since I’ve hit a rough like this. But thankfully, I’m back up the hill. Yeah, please stay there. Wow, that’s lucky. Yeah, that’s like it comes back every day. Should have kept that pitching wedge left of the hole, but luckily I’m not in the thick stuff. I’m still chipping. Just got a big old right to left her. Let’s get up now for bogey. [Applause] Yesterday left, huh? tomorrow. Yeah, let’s leave it in this one. We’re taking this pretty far outside left. First spot of the day. Oh my. Oh, good putt. So good, bud. What a roll. Look at all of us using flat marks. That’s how you know we’re taking it serious. Know we’re in a nice place. Yeah. Nice place. We’re taking it serious. I’m taking it dead serious. Cruising pretty good left at the end, huh? Yeah. I like But I like inside right if it has pace. Okay, perfect. I got you. If it has pace. Oh, what a snag. Nice. What a snag. All right, even through one. Survived the first hole. Bogey would not be awful in this hole. Hopefully, we knocked this down. the left side of the cup. Very nice. That turned a lot. All right, Bogey. It’s not a bad start in the hole. It’s one of the tougher holes in the course. I might need to come fix that lip after those two. Par almost chipped in that birdie. That would have been a crazy start. Holy was going to move a lot. All right, par off the first. What a start. Hole 10. Our second hole, guys. That’s right. 460. It does look wider, doesn’t it? Just down the hill. We’re going to want to hit it kind of right at the right edge of the green. Kind of the line that we’ve been given. So, let’s see if we can be coachable. Nice ball. Yeah, something like that. I want it to stay a little right, but perfect. All right, got thumbs up from Caddies. Well, here we go. Another good drive. Let’s Let’s keep it going. Gosh, sharp. Every time I hit a good, you guys are so surprised. It’s really starting to piss me off. That was maybe the best you make. I have a best drive of my life every week, but just keep getting better and better. All right, that was a great ball. Oh, right. Don’t Oh, it kind of kicked right. Nice. Yeah, good for us. Pretty good balls there, guys. Good. [Music] All right. So, we were in the fairway, but you see these yellow roped off areas. They’re going to be very popular places for the US Open for everybody to hit their T- balls. So, they’re trying to save them. We’re going to unfortunately not be able to play from that area. So, we’re going to have to move it right off the side. But because we hit the fairway, we’ll pick our own lie here in the first cut. Yeah. And so, hey, we’re just trying to play it as legit as we can with some respect towards the players who are going to be playing the US Open. 160 at Luis. Just a little eight iron 75 flag. He wants me to hit 160 left. Left just turn a little bit a little bit. Oh no. Not my best effort. It’s all good. Go get it up and down again. I just came from Arizona where it’s like 52 is flying 160. I don’t know what to do. What club do you have? Pitching wedge. Pitching wedge. But you’re into the wind, too. I think you’ll be just fine with the pitching wedge. set. [Music] Oh, yes. Nice. It’s so scary coming from Arizona. We just were seeing the ball fly a literal mile. All right, here we go. Got a little pee wedge. Make Louis happy. Make Louis happy. Give him a thumbs up. Oh, baby. Oh, baby. Sit. I don’t know. [Applause] Hey, come on now. All right, we got a birdie putt. All right, 135 yds to the pin just like they were saying. I was in the fairway kind of like far corner you could be and I didn’t know there was that goalie down there, but um had to move the first cut 135. I got gap wise trying to land it on Luis a little short of the pin. Let it feed down. Watch it actually land on Louise. [Applause] Take left. Left. Keep going. Stop. I feel like that putt’s going to be mega fast. The TV really doesn’t do it justice, but these greens are massive. Yeah. Like I did not know they were this massive. The crazy thing is that we’re not even on the green yet. Right here. Yeah. This is the French. This is the tried to hit some better mid irons, but we got away with it. Probably better than being in the bunker. This thing’s going to be fast and it’s going to be moving left a lot. Try to have a little touch, a little feel. Like it’s so Yeah, it would be like bittersweet. Go. Oh my gosh. I thought that was perfect. Greens are just a little soft. They’ve had a lot of rain. We got a hook putt here. We’ve got a massive hook putt. See if I can’t sink in a birdie here. Come on. I can’t tell if I push that. Great speed though. I’m happy with it. All right, come on. Yeah, clean up this part. Kind of just going to let gravity do its thing. Get it out there to the right and let this thing swing. H wasn’t going in anyway. Not a bad boo. I do. All right, we’ll take par. All right, got a birdie putt. Let’s be nice. Have that first bogey. We about to even par. Little too far out there. Too much respect on that one. Cars out here. I will never be mad with hole number three. Another beautiful par4. Kind of a blind T-shot here. Can’t see the pin. Let’s hit a good drive. Come on. All right. You didn’t miss it right. I just I was too worried about hitting it right and then I didn’t focus on hitting a good golf swing. That happens. Good swing, Garrett. Thanks. I think that’s good. Real nice. Thank you. All right. Same thing as last hole. Another good drive. Just left side. [Music] Stay left. Yeah, a straight kick. Like this is a genuine question. Do you think this course is playing easier today or easier if it was really firm? I know the the only thing is how firm the greens are with the US Open. Like firmer fairways would be easier for us and you have wedges in. So that’s the difference, right? Exactly. Yeah. There’s definitely it’s just different, right? It’s a different kind of tough. Like we’re just going to play it so long. Like they’re going to see everybody hit like way less club into greens than we are. But yeah, but that’s for me like I prefer it short. I don’t like it long. Yeah. I don’t know. I’ve I’ve I’ve never necessarily had length myself. Nice. Yeah. Get a little left. Stay left, please. Kind of in the best position out of all of them. So, just trying to get this up on the green. Give myself another chance for birdie. This looks really good. This is a beautiful looking hole. Let’s lock in. Let’s hit a good shot. Got pitching wedge 140. You need about 130 to cover. Just grab it. Grabbed it. Grabbed my club. And got to be cautious of that. Got to try and line up just a little bit more right. That’s all right. Can get up and down for par. Got 109 flag from the right side of the fairway. Honestly, hole looks a little different once you get up here. But I got a little sand wedge. This is birdie time. You don’t get many wedges out here at Oakmont. So, see if we can take advantage. Yeah. Hey, we got room. There’s room up there all around us. We’ll see. All right, Colin. We just trickled off into the first cut. Could be worse. 88 yds. Tricky little shot here. Trying to go a hair left. Got to get this one way up in the air. Got to hoist it up there. We Well, I was able to carry this goalie. So, I’m actually in a pretty good spot right here. 77 yards. Still trying to go long left to this pin, though. I just don’t want to mess with short. Hit one up there and give myself a look. And I right be It worked out. That was not how I was trying to hit that shot, but I think I have a pretty good look. So, grab that putter. Yes, sir. Oh, dumb dumb dumb dumb dumb dum dum. This is not where you want to leave it. I’m honestly trying to get myself at best a 10footer here. So, thanks. Not bad. Yeah, this is uh it’s not a bad place to be. It’s going to be kind of quick, so just hoping for another good bunker shot like the last hole. Oh, I was scared of it, Maxi. It looked good. Just short. That’s okay. Hey, I’m giving it a lot of respect out here and I’m not really upset about that. Feel like 20 25 ft big breaking left putt. Honestly, that was only 75 yards away, but I will take 25 ft to this pin. It was not easy. So, let’s just take good speed. Try to match the speed line. If it goes in, great. If it doesn’t, take [Music] par more. Again, take possible. Definitely left right the whole way, but might get a little more level at the at the end of the putt. See if we can’t knock this in for par. This would be a great save. I had it. I had it. I had it. That was a bogey. That was a good bogie. I mean, I honestly almost made that putt. You can see it starting to flatten out at the end there that I missed, but not too upset about it. Par bogie. Great start. Great chances to make some birdies out of here. I’m not worried. All right, birdie chance. Get back to even. Yeah, it’s like I’m kind of confused on mine in my feet. It feels like it’s diving. No, right. They’re looking at it all. Yeah. [Music] All right, number 12. Fourth hole of the day. First par five of the day. So, let’s see if maybe we can snag a bird. Just going right down the walking trail. You can see kind of right over where Louis’s beautiful face is right now. This is honestly a very special day. Shout out to the USGA for having us out. This is very This is like a dream come true. falls. Pretty nice. Yeah. The bunker short of it. No, it hit the backhill of the bunker and went into the [Applause] bunker. If it just gets on the ground, stay left. Yeah, that should be trying to be a touch right at those. I think really the perfect line is the right corner of like the merchandise tent thing. Turn. Turn. Come on. It’s trying. All right. Fairway would be massive here. At least one of us has to hit the ferry. Come on. Yeah. 0 for four. And the road is freaking hard, though. I don’t know. Hit it good. Hit it hard. It’s going to be the rough. It’s going to be fun. It’s going to be a fun way to get up and down. All right. We’re here in the fairway. It’s hard to see just cuz the fairways are so soft. 340 flag. So, that’s good. We’re going to rip 3-wood as a layup just right of Luis. Luis has no idea we’re going to be hitting. So, he is by the time I get up over this ball going to be perfectly in the landing [Music] area. Stay right. Should be okay. Just there’s so much slope in these fairways. Perfect though. Perfect. I like that. That’s better than okay. That’s perfect. All right, we’ll hit another fairway bunker. And the fairy bunkers are just brutal out here. So, I’m hitting it out sideways and hopefully get up there enough where I can get through it on the green or around the green. Taking my medicine. Put it right on the fly. Put it in the flap. Put it in the FL. Brad’s had to pitch out of bunkers twice. That poor guy. That’s tough. It’s That’s just goes to show you this place is freaking beat down, man. 346, man. That’s That’s crazy. Also, my ball was dead plugged, too. So, you will see my massive divot and my ball just to the left. Holy piss missile. Four. I just hit that like. I probably hit that 300 y. That was hammered, dude. All right, we got six iron max. Trying to hit like a 185 190 shot. Just trying to get one in the fairway and hopefully get up and down the ski. We kind of got lucky. We pulled a really good lie out of this stuff. We’ll take that. Or 310 pin, but only 280 front edge. A little downhill. Going through it for the third shot. Hopefully get this on the green or just around the green. Give myself a chance just making par. Driving’s the key out here. You got to hit it straight and keep it out of the furry bunkers. And that’s not what I did this one. It’s fast, right? Yeah. We don’t want anything else over there. That bunk that bunk really good, bud. It’s a 170. Sitting over just a little ridge in the middle there. Yeah, I think we go nine iron. Little n iron here. Wind wind. Chip. It’s good. It’s good. Come down from the left to the chin. All right, we’ll take that. Not bad. Not bad. We got a birdie. Look. 84 flag. Maybe down a couple to like 82. Back in the fan. My voice says got to get it there. So I’m just going to hit 8260. Go. Okay. Well, okay. Had a pretty good number. Yeah, I got you. Thank you. Thank you. Look at this. This is my favorite part about the Northeast right here. All right. We’re going to do something. You what? A little bit towards Garrett won’t hurt us. Yeah, that’s where I’m I’m right there, brother. Oh, so close. Gosh, that was a tough shot. It was fun to try to do that. Uh, I quit. All right, let’s just try to feel it up there. It’s not far enough left. And it’s too [Applause] hard. Sit. Sit. Honestly, I’m not terribly mad about that. One thing I did want to do is just leave it short and then have another 20footer straight down the hill. So, at least I gave myself a putt I can kind of be aggressive with now. Just trying to land it on top of the shelf and let it kind of trickle down towards the hole. It should go left. No. Yes. Just barely. Just barely. It’s gonna fall fall right down around the hole though. Okay, that’s kind of what I see as well. I’m going to make this. Oh, reach. Go. Wow. Great roll, buddy. I never thought I could leave that short. All right. Well, all things considered, this would be still a really good par save. That rough shot. That was a tough shot. That was a really difficult shot. So, let’s make it. No way. Pretty nice line there from Sharp. So I think it’s like right edge little left and then straight at the end. Let’s knock it down for the par. Too far right. We need a birdie in the grip, don’t we? Yeah. Good putt, brother. What were you seeing there, John? I don’t know. Live. I I I know. You showed it to me perfectly. For whatever reason, I was like, “Oh, it’s going to go a foot to the left.” Nice read, Sean. All right. Yeah, not the worst thing in the world. Kind of got a little unlucky, but pars not going to kill you at Oakmont. Oo, first par three. Here we go. 198. Hole number 13 or hole number five. This looks intense. All right, I got seven iron here. Back right pen. Wait, it’s your boat. Oh, I I wasn’t going to stop you, but we really are in a nice place. Wow, we’re playing honor system. This is I get to be the guinea pig. All right, it’s only cuz it’s a par three. So, I have sixiron charf. Uh 198 up to 204. That pin is like tucked in this back right corner. Basically, if I can hit sixiron right at Luis about like 1909 95 shot, that should be money. Can I actually come to the US Open? Exactly what you said. Balls. Tried. Superintendent’s best friend. Didn’t touch blade of grass. It’s probably more a deficiency in my golf swing. That’s okay. Perfect. That’s going to be fun. Hey, we live for fun shots, huh? Yeah. Iron Man build another another suit back there. I got seven iron. A little high cut. Start. Just let Louise finish it just right at him. be a money. He’s filming a little long. All right, I made a sixiron as well. Number four. Oh my. He’s done it again. Done it again, folks. He’s done it again, mate. Another bunker again, I think. Well, Chararf is boned. I’m a little less boned, but still boned. Brad is also boned. Sean is even boned. We’re all boned. Let’s I want to see two pars out of this group on this hole. Okay. No. No. Stay. I’ll take it. Honestly, that was not an easy situation. Yeah. I mean, if I can get under it enough and just plop it out, I wouldn’t mind anything here. Anything here on Nice. So good. I mean, I I wouldn’t hate it if it went backwards back in the bunker anywhere other than where I was. That was insane. This is going to be tough. calling. I wish I was here cuz it’s the grass is straight up. I’m here where like everyone walks off and it’s into the grain downhill. Luckily, it’s into the wind. I’m going to try to open the face up. Be aggressive through it. Try to loft it up and land it on the green barely. Uh that’s where the end of the grain just makes that ball come out however it wants. All right, I’ve got quite the interesting putt. This thing is going to rip hard, right? It’s like up the hill and then back over. And honestly, if anything, it might kind of straighten out at the end. Really just got to dial this one in. And I didn’t get high enough. Man, this is fun, guys. I just didn’t hit it hard enough up that slope. So much slope. [Music] All right, I’m just trying to fight it right up to here and just have it funnel [Applause] down. How was that short? That’s impressive. Get there. Yes. Oh, hit a little speed bump in the middle. Good fight. Good fight. like a ball outside. I mean, it just sucks. This that’s what makes this place so hard is I thought I hit a perfect iron shot and I’ve got a 15footer for bogeogi. Stop golf course. It’s all good. No, shark already did it. You do it. Got to clean up this part here. Should just be splitting that left edge. Hit this one with some confidence. Hit this one with some confidence. Good bogeies, everybody. Oh, that was confident. That was terrible. Back in the cup here, Colin. Save. Uh, honestly, pretty good bogey. That move left. That move left. Dang it. That move left. That freaking move left through five holes. The boys are struggling. 370 yard. Not the bad. The boys are still struggling overall. Nobody is even par. We need to make some birdies. And we will close their little pop shot. Front left bunker is okay. Stayed out of it. I got fire calling. I’m just going to try to hit a good layup and just leave myself a little wedge in. Try to get myself a decent birdie look. Yeah, I got four iron. Try to do the same thing Brad did. Also try to tee it up just on the back of his divot. That way we save some space. These tea boxes are so pure. Don’t play until Friday. Saturday. I love hitting four iron and missing the fairway. Like what a freaking genius you are. Super smart. Super curious. Curious. George, here we go. I got driver as well. I’m hitting it pretty well. Just going to keep that confidence rolling. Hopefully get myself a little wedgie. Crazy. That might be All right, Max got 130. I love the layup play. Driver, I mean, driver would be good if you hit straight, but then even then that pins in the front. It would have been a tough little chip. So, I put a little spin on this 130 got gap wedge going right at it. Be all over it. Be all over it. There we go. All right. Like a massive hop. I stayed out of the bunker, fortunately. Maybe we can just hit 4 in straighter next time. I got 130 flag, but it’s going to kind of come out hot, tumbly, and potentially a touch tuggy. So, I got a 50 and I’m swinging pretty dang hard on it. Leave it wind. I don’t know if the wind left it alone, but that stance was a little wild. So, just got to go try to make another par. Think about it. I’m like a little over a foot away from from being in a position where I can easily get up and down now. Having kind of an interesting and a tough little shot, but here we go. 84 cover. [Music] Really? Really? We’ll see. We’ll see. Looked like that one was uh 15 yards short. It’s so tough hitting it out of here cuz again, my thought process was hit 56, make sure I get it on the green, but then I’m thinking I’m going have to swing the crap out of a 56 to get out of this rough club back uh to 60. And I guess I hit a pretty good sh. Oh my gosh. Colin, which one’s me? All right, 50 yards to carry. We’re going to get pretty aggressive trying to hit a little flopper or meoo here. Oh, good shot. There we go. I didn’t think you made it over. I did not either. Yeah, I did not think I was going to make it over that. The wind got a hold of my balls. And what what are you going to do, right? Once the wind gets a hold of it, it’s not going to stop. Wow. Wow. That’s a That’s a really good how pure these greens are. You’re not going to really get them bouncing offline. Watch this bounce offline now. But I literally told myself just be aggressive here. Holy. That is one of the more frustrating things in golf. 10ft birdie putt. Leave it short. thought I just like was thinking about hitting driver and then just we got to take advantage of these opportunities. We got to be confident today. Be a big birdie. Come on. You didn’t. I hate you. That’s That is actually insane. Hey, you and I both, brother. I’ll give it 10 seconds. All right, Max. Got a good look here for the bird. Let’s knock it down and get the three over. Oh, shoved it. I got a five-footer for par that I really, really want to make. I’m at two over right now. Just I need to stay at two over. I don’t want I don’t want to get too far away from the number that I was trying to shoot. Even par. Thanks. Save it. Exactly. We made a putt, man. Thank you. [Music] How you guys doing? We all tied up. Oh yeah, we’re all four under. Yeah, easy golf. Easy channel. It’s easy stuff. Like local beauty. Where’s that Brody guy? I think he’s on the boat. He said, “Where’s Brody Smith?” Oh, he said Brody Smith. He’s where that Brody guy. I’d love a one v one against Brody right now. That’d be sick. We can start. Hey, we start a new channel. We’ll call it Dude Bro Perfect. That’s so original. Yeah, let’s all hang out. Driver just down the right edge of the walking path. That’s That’ll work. Thanks. Good ball. Good ball. Thank you. All right. I got driver as well. We need to find it. We I just want like a good slotted feel of a drive. All right, here we go. Little right to left wind here. Whoa. It’s high. It’s deep. Put it. Should be should be all right. It’s high and deep. It was high and deep. All right. Great. I’m going try to hammer this high draw. Ride the wind. That was it. That swing felt awful, but it worked. Yeah. I got 238 to the flag. I mean, it’s all the way in the back, but I think I’m hitting sevenwood. The only problem with this club, the ball’s below my feet. I need it to work left or right. Cuz if it doesn’t work left or right, it just needs to work left or right. All right, we’re putting. How about right to left? How about right to left? Yeah, there’s just so much wind up there. I just have a 75 ft putting net. I’m going to go seven iron. Open up a little bit just in case it that rough tries to turn the club face over. I’m just going middle of the greens. Trying to get up there somewhere and get myself somewhat of a look. Oh, come on. Go, go, go, go, go, go. Gosh, didn’t come out high. So dead. So dead. This is some thick stuff, brother. I thought I might actually be able to get good amount of club on that. It’s just freaking This place is hard. Well, here I am. The ball was just up here in the bunker, but uh the USGAA and and Oakmont doesn’t want people’s feet and stuff on these bounds. So, I took a it’s free relief today. Took a club length over here. Still in the bunker, but now I have a little better shot. It’s like it’s almost like a satis factory thing. It’s like we’re all playing a hard course, so we’re grueling it out. Yes. Hello. We’re grinding it out. Grind it out on that building. Oh. Perfect. No way. It did. It liter It hit the metal scaffolding of the NBC Sports tent and bounced so far left that it almost made it back on the green. Is it in the bunker? Yeah, it got all the way to the bunker. Yeah, it is insane. Legendary. We’re going to have to hit down on a pitching wedge to get it there. But we can’t really hit nine cuz going long is dead apparently. [Music] No. What? Well, we’re in the bunker. Got probably 50 yard bunker shot roughly. I got 56° out. Going to try to get it back there somewhere and give myself a look. [Music] All right, we’ll take that. This is much better than my other option which would have been dropping way back there. So, shout out to grandstand. This is why I came here. This is why I hit over there. I wanted to show you guys a little rick shade and how it works so I can still get up and down for par. Let’s do it. [Applause] Almost done. Dang it. We have about a 78T putt here. Moving ever so slightly left to right. It’s like moving left to right with winds right to left. Just got to feel it out. I want to hit a good putt and tap it in and get the heck out of here. Wow. Woo. All right. Thought I hammered in first. Honestly, I want to just get this up and down for Boie. Come on. Bogey will feel like a birdie right now. Stay. That sounds about right out of here. I mean, this stuff is I mean, it’s so hard to hit out of just is. Come on. Up and down for the for the bogey. Sharpy boy. I got Come on, win. Um, I got like a 18 20 footer for the par. This would be a very grindy par if I can somehow make this. So, let’s do it. For one putt to start going in, a little bit of a different angle. Just be a great bogey save here. Come on now. Had a crazy hole. A little ricochet. A little here today. hands team. Tough. That would be a tough divot to make on out here at Oakmont. Little Okie Chobby. Dang it. Bars. All right. Made a par, which is apparently an incredible score on this hole based on what we saw there. On to next par three. Do we any birdies today? Uh, we have 1 2 3 4 zero. Perfect. See? Oh, let’s go ahead and birdie this one. Yeah, let’s birdie this one. Very acceptable. Our seventh hole of the day. Unfortunately, I’m five five over par. Jarvis is six over par. Sean is two over par and Brad is five over par. Five bar. What a dog. It just goes to show cuz like even Brad was just saying it. None of us feel like we’ve necessarily hit too many bad shots. Like my first T- shot was my worst shot of the day. I mean, that’s US Open Golf, baby. Come on. 227 cover, 240 flag. I mean, I have four iron. I’m not I don’t even I’m not even really trying looking to go anywhere near the pin. Empty the sack. Thanks. Yeah. Yep. I will take it and I will sprint away from this tea box. Good luck, boys. I’ll take it and I will sprint away from this T- box. See you, boys. Aside from this, that’s going to be a fun putt. That’s going to be a 90 yard putt, I feel like. All right, I’m going moonball sixiron. Letting the wind take it. Go. I think you got enough wood on it. Oh yeah, good swing, Brad. Good ball. Nice, bud. Good job, buddy. What are you six? Perfect. That’s what I’m into, Brad. Funny enough. Too chunky. All right, this is insane. I mean, I might as well go right at it cuz you know, who car? I’m trying to go for center of the green here. We’re going to see what happens. Come on. to commemorate uh Larry Nelson’s 1983 US Open win uh on the 16th hole at Oakmont. He um hit a shot from about here. Yeah. So, these are from anywhere between 1960 1980. Can’t blame it. Oh, yeah. Oh. Why not? What do you want? Number. What do you want a car? Oh my gosh. Larry would have loved it. Larry, that’s what Larry needed. Oh my gosh. That’s the best string I made all day. All right. Not bad, huh? All right. Hey, what do you think? A little pretty straight putt here. Definitely straight. Right edge. Right edge. I like almost out of him. I do. So, I like the corner post of the second shelf there. Yeah. [Music] It’s a great Oh, no. Scared that I’m just going to either go right underneath it or just launch it like 60 yards long of the green. All right, here we go. Oh my god. Yeah. 40 ft. Breaking hard, right? Kind of the same putt Garrett had. Just like half the length kind of that last half. It’s going be the same look. Just try to like it up close. It goes in. Fantastic. [Music] Get it halfway there. Got a birdie putt here. Oh, Larry be proud if I make this one. Somehow my high slice McGregor forward is closer, but should just move a touch off to my right. [Applause] That’s a good putt, though. Oh, another par. Well, this should be a crazy bogey, huh? Uh, all this green and I leave it long. Boy, Max talk him into that one. Two. All right, Max. Good luck, man. Thank you. All right, Max. Bad first putt, but let’s knock this one down for the parad. That would have been a tough bogey to take. Five over. Lots of golf left. Keep grinding. Try to get this thing. Just keep climbing up. I’m in a hole, but there’s a little ladder. I got to reach it. And I go badly up, which is 280 on the [Music] ground. I think that’s perfect. All right. I think Garrett’s line is perfect. Oh my god. No. No. Left. It was so bad. Please don’t go in a bunker. It’s in the center of a bunker. Actually, dude. Right up against the lip. What a terrible golf. What the freak was that? Going right at the pin. Colin, swing hard. Oh, this looks nice. It goes [Music] over. Oh, a little wind cut, but be fine up there. I got driver. Going to go at the pin. Hopefully hit a little fade. I got to try and not take a triple. Here we go. Beautiful shot. That was the best swing. All right, look at this guy. I’m actually done after nine. I got 68 yds. Terrible swing, but hey, we’re okay. Found a flat. I’m going to take a 50°ree wedge and hit a bunker shot. Try to be Bryson. Get a plaque. Get a plaque right here. They left. No. All right. I mean, it’s putting, but I could have hit that in worse places, I guess. So yeah, this is a great shot. Was able to find the fairway. Need to take advantage of this. It’s obviously a shorter par4. Trying to help myself uh after that unfortunate triple I had on that par three. Got to take advantage of shots like this into the wind. 55 yd wedge shot. Easy. Easy. Okay. This is why I love this stuff, dude. It’s like you just come here to just feel bad about yourself. No. No, Max. No. That was so close. Oh, hit a good drive here. The ball if it landed like two more yards to the right, maybe in three more yards, it probably would have been up on the green actually. But all in all, still a good shot. Pin’s all the way in the back right. I’m just in the rough. Try to land land it on my landing spot. Let it tumble. Sit. Sit. Sit. It’s tough to judge it perfectly out of that rough, but give myself a good look. Just go real quick in case I don’t think it’s going to roll back, but right overall. It would kind of suck if it did. Well, I’m going to break something. Break more. I love that saying. Want to break something. How do you break par? I can’t say anything. I’m five over. All right. Good speed. This stuff is so pure. That’s the craziest thing. This is not green. And I don’t know how. So the green will start right here. So at the US Open, they’ll mark this. They’ll have like little dots. That way you can kind of tell this little red mark here marks the front edge of the green. So that way you know if guys are know they can mark it or not mark it. I’ve got a pretty good line on it. Moving left to right and then kind of go straight at the end. So I’m going to go a little inside of what he said. This would be a great birdie. This would be a crazy birdie. Easy. Hit the I knew I hit this hard. Good five. I actually think I lost track where I’m at. All right, Char, where are you at? Come on, lock in. Knock it in. Yeah, it’s being great par. My goodness. Let’s do it. You got to be kidding me, bro. All right, bird call. So much damn break. See if we can clean up this par. This would be another great bar. Should be just inside, right? Thanks. Stay at two over. It is fun still like getting beat up by a golf course. There’s like some sort of satisfaction to it. You’re playing one of the hardest courses in America and you’re getting literally like bent over. All right, number 18. 504 yard par4. Wind up the left narrow fairway. Easy hole. Just going at that bunker and hopefully the wind will take it to the right. Oh yeah. Yeah, you’re fine. Just me or is this like the most impossible fair way to hit? Where do you hit it? Where did they say to hit it? Uh like just like the tree just left of the green. I got you. Okay. Try to get through this hole. We can make par in this hole. Two over. We’re not sitting too terrible. That’s the bunker. Please stay right at that. Oh yeah. You’re you’re fine. You’re fine. You’re fine. stayed on that lot of them. Yeah. Yeah. Oh boy. That is all I could do. It’s so interesting. Like normally if I play a course that like there’s not really that much OB and stuff like that, I’m normally all right. But when you put in bunkers with lips like this, rough like this. I I’m so I I’m so curious to see what the pros shoot out here. I can guarantee you it’s the person who hits the most fairways. Guaranteed. Whoever stats say fairways hit most from that week is going to win. I have a seven. I’m just going to see how it feels. I don’t love the play either, but how far you got? 238. Oh my. Yeah. This is This is dumb. This is dumb. So dumb. It’s not in the cards. I’m I’m going to try it after I hit this shot. Oh [ __ ] baby. Yes. But to be fair, I am an absolute idiot. I I mean, just I was stuck in between. I was thinking if I hit it thin that I was going to freaking hit it. I’m going to try this out of it. Wow. Hey, same shot. That’s actually insane. That’s crazy. It’s not a good spot to be. Um, I’ll be hitting my third shot right now. Still have 203 yards of this pin. So, jeez. Still have 203 yards of this pin. So, getting this getting this on the green is going to be a great shot. Uh-oh. Oh, it’s just in the rough. Gosh, that came out so nice. All right, that’s going to be a tricky up and down for the bogey. Oh, that’s so frustrating. All right, 198, I think, is what the caddy said to the pin. I’m trying to land at 185 cuz the pin’s all the way back. I do not want to go long. I got eight iron. Going to be a little flyier. Yeah, I was trying to hit a little flighted one that have a little run on it hopefully. That was good number at least. Yeah. Actually, hold on. I’m like, sorry, I was spiraling. Well, guys, you guys probably didn’t hear me talk through that one because I just decided to hit. Rookie YouTube move, but I had 150 and I kind of wafted a 9 iron. You guys saw the end result there with Luis’s camera, but that’s on me, y’all. Only spiraling a little bit. All right, little under full 60 about 103 yard shot. Finishing with a par and being six over through 10. I mean, makes you want to cry at any other course, but here, I wouldn’t be upset with [Applause] it. You good number freaking taking pelts out here today. I’m literally just trying to get this out here, man. This is tough break. Hit it. [Music] It’s diabolical. It’s like I feel feel like if I don’t do that, I hit it and it goes right here. That was That was a better idea there though. Kind of like I was just trying to You could even open up the face even more. You just want to open it and just literally try to like plop the club face down right under the ball. Stab I got to eliminate the damage. Got to grind up and down double. Get out of here. Thanks. That rough is diabolical, dude. It really is. Got a difficult putt for bogey, but hey, should be a crazy make, huh? Hit it harder. That was a weird All right, got like 30 ft for the birdie. This would be a Fun birdie to make if this can somehow go in. But it’s breaking a ton. Not an easy putt. Great. It’s like left edge cuz I feel like at the end it’s going to kind of hang that way. Yeah. Inside left. Inside left. Perfect. Underneath wood at this time to about the 1930s. They are manufactured by machine. Oh, that’s a good hole there, brother. Nice little seven to close out the night. What? I actually broke left. Sean, will you grab driver for me? That was a tough stop as well. Number one on the course. Number 11 for us. 482 into the wind. It is downhill. And also the caddies are telling us this is not the prevailing win. Usually this one would be going that way. Kind of a weird wind today. And they all said it plays tougher with this one. So seems like that usually happens when we go to six places. Whoa. I’m going use that tea, my boy. Yep. That was pretty good. Thank you. I think you’ll like that one. That’s an incredible rope. Oh, yep. Rough. It kicked for me. I mean, I literally hit it on the pole. I’m aiming down the other fairway cuz it actually I looked at the angle and it’s not terrible. Trying to hit the the other side of that maximizing that angle. We’re going to regroup here. We’re going to regroup. All right, Garrett, I’m following you, I guess. Swing feels uh oh, how would they put it? Uh, horrific right now. So, is that the play for me, too? Well, I mean, Brad had hit a perfect shot. He’s not in the freaking fairway, so I don’t really know what to do here. I mean, I guess he had to go ride that white hole. I bounce off. Why’d you have to say anything, Brad? Oh, you’re fine. All right, that’s good. It’s great there. Little fader cut. I don’t really know what I’m doing with the with the T-ball. I’m trying to guide it, I I don’t really know. I Oh my god. This is not pull off to the right. Just trying to get one in the fairway. Oh my god. Stay. Stay. Got one in the fairway. It’s further back. Back. I got like 210 from this fairway. Garrett hit it over here cuz it looks so fun. I have four iron. I think I need to hit it right at the water tower. I’m pretty close to crying. That is about 27 yards too far left of where I wanted to go. Thank you. All right, we got a little lucky with my lie here. We can’t see the pin. I can just barely see the white pole, which is kind of like my aiming line. Left is going to be a little better. This is It’s a difficult shot, but I’m just looking to get this somewhere down there and give myself a chance for par. All right, they said good. Let’s do it. All right, got 171. Luckily, I mean, it kicked left, but luckily it stayed in the first cut right here. 171, probably 163 with slope. That wind is dead into I got nine iron that’s planning on it coming out a little hot out of the first cut. Go. I will take that at 25 30 ft. Left of the hole. Pin high. Number 40 all over. Number. Dude, these pellets are sick. I love these. If we could just hit the fairway the first try every hole, we would be doing all right. Well, we’re here. Basically just trying to hit a sand wedge and hope it comes out okay. That was not the best lie. I could also maybe freaking hit it on the green for a change. This is insane. There’s like a marker back right here says 32 yards. That’s how long this putt is. Holy humor. Yeah. Perfect. Got to get that there, guys. Frick. That was one of the worst putts I’ve ever seen. All right. A little mo. Little mo. Should be swinging right to left pretty good. [Applause] uh sharp. Not going to lie, I was hoping to learn a little off of yours. [Music] How don’t know what to do. It’s like I either do that. I actually think I got this or I chunk it like a foot. I would love to make the first birdie of the day about 25 ft uphill breaking left. Please just go in ball. on a bird. All right, y’all drop in the comments right now who is going to make the first birdie or are we going to make any? I I don’t love my odds right [Applause] now. I just didn’t bock them up, baby. Dude, I feel like I’m not even playing bad and I’m eight over par. Thank you. Bogey. All right, just on that right edge. Clean up my bogey. Oh, touch of a tug. On to six over. All right, I got driver in hand. I haven’t really hit a good hit maybe one or two good drives. [Music] Get lucky. All right. Going kind of right at the American flag. There you go. short to yellow. You can put the fairway. Trying to God, man. Come on, Colin. I need the rest pars here. That’s what I need. Really good. [Music] Good. Perfect. Man, that looks so cool. How much is this wind going to hurt me? Six yards. Okay. Hard 60. How far? 100 yards. Try and kill 60. Oh, that wind might be hurt. Oh, great shot. Holy. [Laughter] I did not expect to get afraid with mine. I got 77 yards up to 82. Obviously, you guys saw my ball on the fairway, but I got to drop it over here. It’s a little three/arter sand wedge back in the wind. Probably playing. I’m gonna try to hit it about 92 94 probably. Best swing I’ve made all day. All right, Max. Got 70 yards. Pretty good lie all things considered down here. Probably play like an 85 shot and just loft it up and plop it on the green. Go. Sit. Go. Pull. That. Happy with that. Over. Got a great little angle here, Colin. Trying to fight for the first birdie of the day. We’re working. Be good. Come on. Almost dunked it, I’d say. Who would have thought? See, who would have thought? Reminds me of old St. Andrews. Remember that time? Oh my god. Hey, one of the worst filming days we’ve ever had, but the most legendary of all time. When you look back, it’s like, “Yeah, okay. We did it.” And we only lost one camera somehow. Somehow this left. It’s probably the most we’ve had in the whole round. This is the most we’ve had all. How about How about every time we go to a sick course, it rains, wind blows 40 mph. Some just something happens every time. Well, we all you were fighting for birdie. We have four chances of birdie there. Yeah. Yeah. That’s actually This is our best hole of the day. Wind. It’s so It’s downwind. Down the hill. That’s a good par though, considering what I’ve done the last two holes. All right, good. Wanted to get it there. All right, gone for the first bird of the day. Please just knock one down, Brad. [Applause] All right, first bird of the day. Come on. Yeah. Three pars and a birdie. [Music] I want this one. Please. A good drive. Garrett, please. I got to get it back. I was so dialed. That’s so close. And that’s another bunker, Mike. I mean, that could not be more in that bunker, Colin. I’m I’m going to Dude, I can’t avoid the All right, here we go. I got a little driver piece. This one’s for the squirrel, baby. All right, join me, brother. Stay left. Oh, it’s fine. Yeah, it is staying left, actually. Might be fairway, actually. Where’d that go? I think it’s short of the fairway. Hey, we’re in the pews, brother. What does that mean? Is this hole like 1,000 yards long, dude? No, we just suck, man. That’s crazy. I didn’t even see I thought I was going to land on the right side of the fairway there. All right, down the right side. He’s got me by four. Got me by 15. Get in the bunker. In the back of the bunker. Gosh. Hoping for a little high draw with the wind. My name is Sean and this is how you hit a fairway. Oh, so be right. Stay right. Yeah, I think you stayed out of it. I was hit so bad. This is like maybe the more most inviting T-shot of the day and none of us hit the fairway. We got to take little wins here. That was the first Okay. Got over the ball and actually felt like it was a really good swing. Did it go right? Yes. But we’re going to take the positives and I’m going to run with it. So all you guys you guys can shut up. Good drive here. For some reason, I was like, did I not even reach the fairway? Then I saw the hole’s only 460 yards. So, clearly I was missing something. We got about 190 to this pin. I’m going to just choke down a 7 iron. Yep, I like it. Just going to choke down a seven iron. Make sure I get myself up there. Give myself another chance for birdie. I choked down. Should be right at about one just off the left of the green. Okay, it is whole tennis tour 18. If you guys remember that video, this is modeled after whole 108. That’s all right. I got 190 from the left part of the fairway. Did you guys see that? I jumped like that high. Um, it’s a front right flag. It’s blind for me. I kind of Well, I mean, I think I’m putting some days you just don’t have it, and that’s okay. Yeah, I didn’t feel too great. No, that was that was a smart play. Oh, Colin. Yeah. Yeah. So, I’m eight over. If I could finish around Well, obviously I need to finish at 8 over to hit my goal, which is 79. So, we’ll see. Is that me all the way back down here? There’s about 127 roughly to the pin uphill about 10 yards. 137 trying to hit about 135 shot blind. And that’s barely see the white poles behind the green. So trying to get a little ride of that. Try to get on the green. Close. Yeah, I want to. I just don’t know what that green looks like. So hopefully we get up there and it’s right next to the hole. A lot of the par4s for me have been three shot holes. Ah, another divot. I think it’s pretty straight. I think overall pretty straight overall. I mean, no. All righty. Just right at Luis. Right at Louise. Have some good speed. Break. Brace. Break. Brace. Brace. Break. Break. Great shots. Great. Wag button’s good. New putter, y’all. All right, here we go. Little birdie chip. Little birdie chip in. Here we go. If you make this, go ahead. Come on. Had that. Come on. Dig in. Oh, hit his ball. Break break. Great shots. Yeah. Wow. A couple times. Oops. Sorry. Got a bunker shot. Yeah. Down the whole way. Hopefully get up and down. What a shot, Ratus. Wow. Oh, he’s gold. Let’s go knock that down for the par. I mean, I mean, get a halfway there. Am I right? All right, I need 47 words before I hit this putt. Is exactly what Garrett was saying. I think I’m already halfway there. But we’ve got ourselves a beautiful little par putt. Got to try to make it. Trying to avoid another bogey. Then he pulls it. Wait, pulled it right out of the hole. I for sure thought I had that right. All right. Nice. Right up the back. Good par. Thank you. I’ll take the two pipe any day. Okay. Par five. [Music] All right. What hole is this? Hole number four, par five. It’s our 14th hole of the day. And we just had about a 20 25m minute break for lightning, but we’re back playing again or probably a little tight again. Lightning right there. I was about to tee off after the first weather delay and mid-sentence that big fat horn cut me off. that what did he say? So yeah, now we’ve had about an hour off of no swings, just sitting in a hut and uh got a big big time par five here. Somehow I didn’t carry that first. I I hope it’s not in the bunker. If it’s not in the bunker, it’s fine. I can lay up and make birdie. If it’s in the bunker, I’ll probably make bogey. If I hit another bunker, I might cry. Actually, I’ve been in so many. All right, still two back to Brad here, so better start making some ground up. I’m right behind you. Got grass. It’s grass. It is grass. That is huge. There’s another bug door, baby. I was going to miss it. I could feel it. Right in it. I felt it. Felt wrong. If I can hit the fairway here, I can go for it in two, maybe. Come on. Oh, best drive I’ve seen you hit. Swing I’ve ever seen from you. Sure. That was good. Please be Oh my god. Sweet. I got a little sixiron here. Was told to hit about 170 180. Just try to get it back in play. Thanks. Sorry. All right. Here we go. I got 3-wood. Just going to write that telephone pole out there and hopefully give myself a nice wedge in. Oh, how about this jump? I mean, how about that? Well, I wish I’d stayed a little left. Got in the fairway, but I’m glad I’m not in the bunker. Like 260 to the pin, but I’m just hitting nine iron out that way. Laying up. Hopefully just give myself a little wedge in. All right, that should be fairway. That could have easily gone wrong if that hoszled grabbed and turned it over. But should just have a little wet shot in now. If I can make a birdie here, I get a three over. Five over through six. I’ve been grinding. I don’t know if I’m going to get back to even, but I can make this a respectable round if I can just keep going. Six iron here. This would just be a sick birdie. He’s so good. Please. Please. one time. Yeah, that would be I got 144 probably down to 40. This is one of the best chances for birdie I’m going to have the rest of the day. So, we’re going to try to hit this one pretty good. Tucked back left flag. I’m going to go a little flighted pitcher wedge. Thanks. Got a putt at it. Ladies and gentlemen, Colin got 114 yards to the pin down to 110 with slope. And I saw Sean’s. It was took a big skip on that first one. So I’m trying to land this like 102 with slope. So I got sandwiched a little 3/4. Yeah. All right. Judge that pretty well. Had pretty good look. Let’s go make that to get the three over. Dude, I was looking all the way over there. I was like, I still have 200 yards of the pin. That’s not the pin, Matt. All right. I can still make birdie, though. That little tow chunk 3wood put me here. 112 yards. I got 56°. Just trying to run this one up there and get myself a birdie. [Music] Look. That was tough. There’s just no chance I was getting that anywhere near the hole. Go. Oh. All righty. Got chance for a birdie. It’s pretty slow. Like uphill. It’s a little up. Yeah. Oh. Dang. Yeah, that’s good. All right, for the bird going All right. Thank you. Perfect. [Music] Yeah. Number five. our 5 6 7 8 our 15th hole. I’m going two iron 240 shot right between those two poles is what the caddy said. So I’m going to try to do that. Just don’t be in a bunker now. Just I’m going to just let me just say a quick prayer to my ball. Please do not go in a bunker. No bunker. One fairway. Have I hit a fairway today, Colin? Oh, that’s got to be it. Stay left. Stay a little left. All I’m saying is safe. Safe. Safe. Fairway. Oh, please God. Be in the fairway. I feel like I kind of found it, too. Three back of Brad now. Six over. Got three holes left. Finish strong. Yeah. If that isn’t in the fairway, then I don’t know what is. Okay. Thank you, sir. Fairway by the bounce. I just don’t know. You got to say safe. If yours is in the right rough and mine’s in the left rough, then this is the narrowest fairway of all time. Permission to buzz the tower. All right. 163 to the pin. I got very lucky with this lie. Still sitting down a little bit, but it’s it could have been a lot worse. So, I got nine iron. I’m just aiming left to the flag. Try to get on the green. Middle of the green. Leave myself an uphill putt. Go. Be good. Go. Nope. Uh, it was one of those. It’s like it’s sitting up so good and this rough is freaking that long. It’s like teed up. Kind of got kind of weird shot. I got 134 here from the left part of the fairway. Um, it’s nice. I hit it in the fairway and I get to hit it out of the fairway. I’m very happy about that little nine cuz it’s back into the wind. Probably playing close about 145 or so. I’m swinging it so good. That might actually be okay. Oh. Oh my god. That could not have been a worse call. Might actually be okay. I am just swinging it so bad right now. Thank you, sir. My best T-shot of the day. Second fairway that I’ve hit. And I actually get to play out of the fairway. This is amazing. This is the first time I’ve been able to play out of the fairway today on a regulation on a shot that would get me onto the green in regulation. I hope I can take advantage of it. Feels nice to like I timed up the driver. It’s like just in time for me to finish this round. So, always love it when golf works like that, but that’s typically how it is number. Oh my. No. No. What? Oh, I love golf. Yeah. I just I’m looking. So, if there’s anybody out there that wants to make me a divot compilation of all my fairway shots today, feel like that’d be kind of kind of sick. Well done, man. I’m torn. If I land this where I’m would normally land it, it lands on the side slope is have no chance staying up like staying high. I could have decent. This This rough is brutal, but it’s sitting decently down grain. I’m just going to play it normally. Give myself a 810 footer. Hopefully. Oh, sit. Just no. Sit. Just stay on top. And the only way to get that close is if I’d hit a flop shot past that slope and land it really soft. Well, to be fair, I hit it terrible. So, okay. Even better. All right, Colin. or the first birdie for me of the day. 17 18 ft up the hill. Breaking slightly right for the par. Too firm. That is too firm. Hey, that’s stinger. Good drive though. [Music] Okay, those worst places to hit it, I would imagine. All right, calling. I got seven. I’m going to try to hit just a little cut back into that wind. Middle of the green. Kind of right in the middle of the grand stands. So good. Just go right at it. Please go in. Go. Come on. Oh my gosh. It went in. Just ate up into that wind. I got seven. All right, I’m going to hit five. I haven’t particularly been hitting my irons the best, so just want to make some good swings coming in. Feel good about myself. Woo! Days like this are not fun, but it’s fun to play a golf course this hard. It’s good. It’s humbling. [Applause] Oh, baby. Good shot, Matt. All right, got a buck shot. Not terribly diffult. Wish I had a little better live, but definitely doable. Yeah. All right. Well, I’m getting my bunker work in, which is nice. It’s pretty good, John. I just got to get the face more open than that. Thank you. Got a P four. It’s not a very good bunker shot so hard. All right. Good fight, Garrett. Good. All right. Clean up my bar here. Should swing pretty good, right? Hey, bar. Woo. Thank you. 20 bucks. I’ll be in that bunker. You say I won’t. You won’t. I’m going to try and hit it in it now. Get out of there. You’re safe though. Yes. All right. Good par on the last. Trying to finish the par. Maybe birdie. We’ll see. Tough hole. I’m going to try to cover that bunker. I should be able to if I hit it solid. So, it’s right over the right edge of it. Oh, get on the ground. [Applause] Yo, you’re in between them. See, I feel like US Open, if you were to play US Open, you just hit 3-wood at those bunkers cuz it’s going to be so firm. I keep playing like this, it won’t matter anyway. I’m not going to be here. All right, same line as Brad. I got 190 flag. Um, Caddy’s told me to hit at 200 just right of Luis. And I guess it’ll all feed to the right. Going to try to be coachable here. See if I can listen to him. First iron swing of the day. Good job. Thanks. 57 ft. If you give me like 180, that that pushes us to the front edge. No problem. Okay. Come on, Garrett. behind. Give me a little right. Great shot, dude. Really good. Uh 155 pin that you saw. I’m sure Sean talked about the pin’s all the way in the front right. I’m in the rough and I’m just going left side of the green just trying to give myself a 40footer. Oh, Brad, stop. Just Okay, work out. Work out, please. Oh my gosh, that is so lucky. That worked out great. Missed it by 20 yards to the right, but Nice shot. Do it. A I played that honestly about as perfect as I could. That’s an intimidating shot. That’s where it’s another one where you kind of like you hit a bad T- shot. Make a bogey. If you make par, you’re kind of lucky. If we bogey this and we finish with a par 81. I’m not going to be mad at that. That’s US Open course. Tough pin locations. Very grown out rough because they haven’t been able to cut it cuz they’ve been getting tons of rain. Yeah, greens are a little bit softer, but it makes the course play longer. So, it’s an easy putt. Yep. Yeah. Oh, home. It’s going to go a little bit to my left and then a lot of bit to my right. Nope. Wow. Well, I just want to get a read from Brad. [Laughter] So, it’s hard to get it high enough. It is like it’s a fine line cuz it does go back left. I know. I just envisioned I was like, if I hit it too hard, I’m going to hit it, you know. Cringe. That’s what I was worried about. All right, Max. Somehow I have this birdie putt. So lucky with that iron shot that ended up here. It’s going to be quick. Try to knock it down and get back to four over. [Music] What the I’ll be honest. What What was that? I would have saved the five shots. All right. Based on that, it’s a just outside left edge. Yeah, it’s tough. Tough. We’ve had a few three putts today. Nine over big stakes in the last. Good work, man. [Music] Over three builds. Car three finished. That’s crazy. 297. I have to make three to break 80. Garrett, is that 10 over? Shariff and Brad are you know what’s the number? I don’t know. 297. Oh, easy hole. That’s only 255 front edge. I don’t Do I have an ego? I cut driver. I I don’t have an ego. I’m hitting driver on a part three for I’m wondering if I want to do like a big old slice cut driver for fun. I got 3 throughwood. This thing is pretty full 3-wood. Oh, you dirty dog. Sit. Sit down. Sit down. Gosh. Sit down. Whoa. All right. Big old can’t even be slicer [Music] driver. Holy sit, brother. Oh my dude. It’s close. Try and get this up in the air. This is going to be tough. It’s going to be a tough shot. 4 444. That’s right. Par to break 80. Be the first time I’ve not broken 80 in a YouTube video. Time is gone yet. I’m not even sure how to hit the shot. So, I’m just going to get up there and hit it and knock it in. This is the break 80 from the US Open TE’s. No way he does it right. Hardest major ever. Oh, I had the distance too there. So, that’s for an 80. The goal was to break 80. Unfortunately, we’re not going to do that. But, like I told Brad, if I knew it was par 70, I probably would have par the last hole. Um, I just decided not to. Yeah, if it was par 70, I probably would be four under par right now. I knew I should have sauteed that through it a little bit, but that’s all right. Get this up and down. That’s a terrible lie. But hey, if you knew you should have, then why didn’t you? Up and down is shooting 75, which I feel like respectable. 76 not respectable. 75 respectable. It’s pretty cool. Oh, hey. [Applause] Honestly, you’re good. All right. Up and down for 79oo. Oh. Ah. All right. Max got this to shoot five over 75. Tidy. Good work. Thank you. Lovely little round for Brad Dog. Thank you. Thank you. Let me read some of them, buddy. You would have played better. All right. Five over. Not bad. 75. Cop out. If I can hit it on that line, it will go in the hole for 79. Nice 80 bomb today, brother. Worst run ever on YouTube. Really? Yep. Couldn’t have been at a cooler place, though. All right, this is the tie shot. Oh, little 80 bomb out of me. Not my worst round ever. Pleasure meeting you. Thanks again for the help. Appreciate it. Thanks, brother. All right. Hey, thanks for playing, man. Was great. Appreciate it. Good playing. Would love to watch the video but I cannot stand Matt.
I’ve played OCC many times. Members speed is 15. These greens were very slow on this video. I played after the club championship and they were 19!!!
I liked the inteaction with the other creators at the beginning of the video was nice!
There’s nothing more irritating than seeing someone hit the same exact shot over and over and not changing a thing. Garrett my man why are you swinging sooo shallow and hitting it like a baseball bat?? Man just get steeper on that ball and get on top of it. Min Woo ruined your swing dude, ever since that round at Palm Springs with him you’ve been messed up bad.
Are we about to witness another California Matt?
Sean is the GG GH, not listening to the caddy on major championship greens and just blowing multiple putts due to ego 😂
What's with Paige, and Grant?
Surprised to see how few trees this course has. Not a fan tbh
Garrett's divot on his 3rd shot on hole 1 made me extremely moist.
Stop complaining about the ads and just buy premium
I’m not sure what’s lacking more..Scharff’s golf game or his hairline 😬😬😬
Shawn is not fun to watch when he’s playing bad
Ken Griffeys gotta go, my lord
Wait Grant dont have eyebrows?
Besides the thick rough, why is this course "the hardest in the world" ? Genuinely curious.
Obviously i can't play it so maybe someone can shine some light on it
Born and raised Texan and I have no fkn clue who Corey Kent is.
You guys still need to play Timberlinks in Denton. Super fun 9 hole course.
You need like a 50 yr old who's had a stroke on the team (ME).
Garrett's hat…
1:09:25 need to see more shots like this. Zoomed in with no tracer. Beautiful.
Watched a few Opens therethen met an assistant pro there ! He told me he shot 1under I was like wow !! Many many pros even tour never did that! He says" its a beast"!!!
This is before watching ! I dont think Grant gonna do 74 or better!
Glad they made you tuck your shirt in
Wonder what Hatton might say of 8th I watched at least 3'U.S.Opens at Oakmont and good many shots on 8th ! i remember maybe 1 birdie Too long and that green wont hold any shot so whats the point! Bad hole my opinion
1:03:13 Brad pipes hit drive. and Matt sprays hit out into the trees. Brad has 171 yards left and Matt hits his on the green from the deep rough? Matts ball perfectly tee'd up in the rough everytime. lol
1:38:03 Is that Mo flying a drone?!
DudeBroPerfect 😂😂😂
Brad & Scharff…
time to come home, fellas 👨🏼🦲
Man. This was a tough watch. Bad golf all around and worse editing / organization. Downfall of good good has started. Nice knowing yall
Every shot Matt hits was hit "perfect" and he "almost had that putt…" So many bad breaks for that fella 😂
Garrett 1 hand releasing wedge shots that go to 10 feet is annoying as shit so sick of these guys
I would like to play with Sean. What a great addition to the team 💪💪💪
As soon as I see Matt I quit watching
