LEONA Maguire has been combining work with pleasure while reuniting with twin sister Lisa in Mexico.
The younger Maguire (by 15 minutes) will be competing at the Riviera Maya Open at Mayakoba from May 22-25.

But judging from her Instagram account over the past few days, it’s also presented an ideal chance to catch some rays and catch up with her sibling before next week’s US Open.
That will be the second of the five major tournaments across the women’s game to unfold this year after April’s Chevron Championship.
She wound up placing in a tie for 67th there on an overall score of eight over par.
Maguire played that Texas tournament with a new caddie on her bag as she’s teamed up with Kildare man Shane O’Connell after ending an eight-month partnership with Verners Tess.
Speaking to The Irish Independent, the former world number ten detailed her belief that this link-up will help get her back to her best.
She said: “Yeah, so far, so good. Shane has come across from the men’s side, so it’s been a learning experience for him.
“But we’ve been getting along very well personality-wise.
“We’re similar and both pretty level-headed and it’s nice to have a fellow Irish person on the bag.
“Same sort of sense of humour and way of doing things.
“So I’m getting used to him. He’s getting used to me and we’re just trying to adapt as well as we can and learn as we go.”
Rory McIlroy reacts to PGA Championship delay
The Cavan native missed her first cut of the season at the Mizuho Americas Open earlier this month in New Jersey, USA.
That disappointing outcome contributed to her falling down to 71st in the world rankings.
On top of that, the 30-year-old has only posted one top-10 finish in 2025 with that coming in the season opener Tournament of Champions.
However, Maguire has kept an even keel about where her game is at and reckons her results so far are more an indication of how competitive the LPGA Tour has become.
Per The Irish Times, she recently explained: “It is getting more and more competitive every year.
“There was a few cuts this year, three and four-under par cuts in LA and Phoenix, and there is not a whole lot of room for error.
“The leaderboards are very tightly bunched it seems every week and it doesn’t take much to move yourself up 20 spots, one shot here, one shot there.
“So it is just trying to put yourself in contention at the business end of things as much as you can.”
