If you want to get tiger-like compression through the ball and stop flipping the hands like this, causing fat shots and thin shots, try imagine the ball is set up far in front of your stance. Your brain and body is automatically going to force you to shift your weight towards the lead side in order to make contact with the ball.     Hence my motto: the harder I hit the shorter it goes!

  2. Actually this is a great drill. Line up the ball way forward, almost off your front heel. Use a 7 iron. You will shock yourself how you will get to the ball and with good compression. I go back to this drill when I feel I start to hang back.

  3. So your hands should be way out in front like that? Seems odd, but I'll try it cuz I suck like a Hoover and hit the ball about as far as the average assisted living occupant.
