Alex Noren is considered a veteran golfer these days, but that doesn’t mean he’s any less deadly with a club in his hands. One of Europe’s preeminent ball-strikers, Noren will have an enduring legacy for being a true Players’ Player as well as being an inspiration to the upcoming class of golfers from his native Sweden, including the likes of incredible talent Ludwig Åberg.
Like the young Ludwig, Noren has represented his country amongst the European greats in the Ryder Cup. Although only making one appearance, in the 2018 Paris Ryder Cup, Noren took two points from a possible three, making an impossible 18th-hole putt on the Sunday singles final game to take the final point for Europe, against a young Bryson DeChambeau.
Not quite content to only be an inspiration, Noren has been fighting back from injuries of late, although he put in a stellar performance in the 2025 USPGA Championship, challenging Scottie Scheffler at the ripe old age of 42.
