. Technically, despite having the most wins in both the Al and all of Major League Baseball, 52 of them for New York. No longer the best winning percentage, you expect your front offices to hit that gas pedal when it comes time to get a better team on the field. Post allr break, because the one thing that you know from the Yankees and the Orioles is what, Ben, you’re going to fight with each other throughout the stretcher and you want home field advantage the early line only on sports grid. You know this guy is the mad scientist. I mean, he’s all about green density. So in my mind, I feel like he’s going to have the green speeds dialed in and angles needs to land him and all that sort of stuff. I feel like he’s going to be a good spot and playing the course well, and he’s going to be hitting less club into a lot of these par threes, too. So I just you know, we’re talking about using a live guy. I I just I love Bryson this week I’m riding with Bryson only on Sports Grid. This new sports integrity partnership Genius Sports is involved in this more protection. They said that’s going to allow them to beef up their protection and add more integrity monitoring tools to essentially catch bad behavior before it happens. This comes obviously after a just ton of scandals we’ve had across sports betting lately, whether it’s the MLB umpire Pat Hoberg, Newswire only on sports Grid, despite me being a Yankee fan, I think, Joe would deserve the label as Aaron Judge’s biggest fan. Not through any bias, but just through the amount of money that he’s, made. Anybody who’s been betting on him, I just had him for that home run, and I’m goino go back to it today. That home run coming in at plus 230. Max freed here, while he has been strong. This is Aaron Judge game time decisions only on sports. Live with you on sports grid. I’m Kevin Walsh. This is game time decisions. It is a Sunday morning as we get set for a full Sunday of action. No soccer as we got a little bit of break from Euro 2024, as well as Copa America, Copa America pick in Brazil knocked out in penalties. Very bizarre that they removed extra time. I also feel like that was announced just in the middle of the tournament, but never it’s not why I lost, nor would have changed my wager. Brazil didn’t get the job done. It is what it is. As far as the euros go. Exciting day of action, we saw the Netherlands get it through as well as England, so we are set up for those semifinals. We’ll get to those during the week. Full Major League Baseball slate for the people today we’ve got some John Deere Classic quick picks. We are going to dabble in the outright market. We’ll get to that in a moment. But the WNBA continuously commanding the headlines despite DeMar DeRozan on his way to Sacramento, which we will get to as well. But yesterday’s slate saw the first ever triple double for a rookie in league history. And it came in a win. And that may be more important than the triple double. The Indiana Fever being able to beat the New York Liberty. Considering how the Liberty have dominated this basketball team in their three prior meetings, was a huge boost. We talked about this game on the show where the fever felt returning home like they were in a good scheduled spot, but as a double digit dog, I still couldn’t find myself getting to the number with how the liberties clearly continuously get up to play this team. The fever took advantage early, but the Liberty started away on him and it was another comeback here that got the job done for the Indiana Fever. They’re making somewhat of a habit of that, but the triple double for Clark is what really elevated this headline. It was a matter of when, not if, she was going to become the first rookie to put a triple double on the board. She is continuing to climb in the assists per game leader ranks and has a very real chance to lead the W in assists in her rookie season. And that performance on a big stage as well did shift some of the rookie of the year odds back towards Caitlin Clark. We mentioned on yesterday’s show that number around -300. Continuing to drop due to how good Angel Reese has be. Balloons back up to minus 700. I think what you still see is Clark at her best is a separator. But that does not mean that Angel Reese will not continuously make this a race. And I mentioned that this 7.4 assist number again, as it continues to grow, because Clark is now over the last eight games averaging nearly double digit dimes, she’s going to have a real chance to lead this league in assists in her rookie season. Well, presently Angel Reese is leading the league in rebounds per game in her rookie season. You see the, you know, rebound totals for Clark at her position are fantastic. Clark continuing to outscore Reese is necessary. That is not supposed to be close. The idea around Caitlin Clark is she would be averaging 20 plus a game. Reese to average 15 a night. I’ve talked about it a lot, but it was a plus 600 preseason prop. She’s done incredible to get that within range. And if not for a very slow start from the efficiency end of it, she would be challenging Clark for leading this rookie class in points per game. But what has continued to push Reese in this race are two things now. The first is the dominance on the glass. It’s how she gets a lot of her offense, and it’s setting records from a double double perspective. And again leading this league in rebounding. But it’s also the results. Den one of the big reasons that that game for the fever moved Clark’s number was not just the triple double, but a win over the New York Liberty. But what pushed Angel Reese a bit further was a win over the Seattle Storm. Can they do it again? On today’s slate? We have the storm and the sky a nine point line total one 64.5. The angel Reese is -200 for a double double. 14.5 points, 11.5 rebounds. I was tempted by some of the Reese numbers. I would lean under on the points and over on the boards during this double double stretch. Very rarely does she miss 11.5 in consecutive games. She did only get to ten, only get to ten in the last meeting with Seattle. It’s kind of a reverse situation with the points. She’s coming off a 27 point night, a career high. The idea is that that can all of a sudden level off what what she was able to do. Angel Reese at the free throw line was a big part of the boost, and why she was able to get there, but that free throw line, not just for Reese, but for both of these ball clubs, is one of the reasons I’m looking for an under at one 64.5 in this basketball game, 8884 was your final. When these teams met just two days ago, a pregame total of 161. I think we’re seeing an overreaction here, jumping this number through to one 64.5. These teams combined for well over 40 free throw attempts. You start to see that drop a little bit here. I think an uptick in defensive intensity specifically on the Seattle end, because the Sky got Carter and Reese to combine for 60, which is going to be really difficult to replicate here. And I love this game under one 64.5. But what if the sky pulled it off again. Well it’s going to impact the standings which we know will impact the rookie of the year race. And if you look at the standings presently right now, the Liberty are still up there at the top. The Connecticut Sun are going to be in the mix. Can the Vegas Aces go on enough of a run to get back into this conversation? I know they’re not a ways back, but Liberty are super consistent here. And Vegas, who I believe were six and six and have now found themselves at 12 and seven, are certainly in line for a run. We’ll talk about their game today against Dallas in a moment, but it’s the standings at the bottom that are going to continue to determine so much of the conversation. It’s the sky slightly in front of the fever, a big disparity in games played of course, that’s eventually it’ll level out, but three more games for the Indiana Fever right now, that’s just what it is. The again, for anyone that missed it, though, and it was important, but of Monica McNutt of ESPN justified Angel Reese as her current rookie of the year pick because of the standings. I think that silly. I think Angel Reese has plenty claim to this award without that argument, but I was not surprised and have warned about such a thing on this show now. I thought only one of these teams could make a playoff push, but the Atlanta Dream, who were five and four, are now seven and 12. In their best player. Ryan Howard has no timetable to return, so the idea is both the Sky and the fever will be in the playoffs. If it’s going to come down to the standings, it’s something we’re going to have to continuously keep our eye on when we line up this rookie of the year race, let’s get to the Atlanta Dream. Let’s get to the rest of the W slate for the people here again, it’s a really fun card. We’re on the under in that 164 in the storm in the sky. We’re taking 11.5 here with the dream. I do think it’s a good spot for Atlanta. If anything, I think maybe more so it’s a worse spot for the sun. These teams last played at Connecticut. Nine and a half number. Atlanta gets the outright win. That nine and a half number was due to the sun being on the second leg of the back to back. Not the same schedule spot here, but I do think the dream can hang inside this number. With the sun coming off of a pair of great road victories. Maybe still look ahead. A little bit of this dream team and we see the 11.5 factor in, we’ll move this over because the Vegas Aces, as we mentioned, they play today against the Dallas Wings. I’m looking for Chelsea Gray to bounce back from the efficiency end. Ten plus points around -108 for Chelsea Gray one of eight one of nine were two of the last three shooting performances playing maybe the worst defense in the W. We see Chelsea Gray bounce back and then late night. All eyes are on BGS availability. We do not know if she goes for the Mercury in that matchup with the LA sparks, but it’s a three and a half point road. Favorite status right now for Phoenix will continue to fly through the slate live on Sunday on Sports Grid. Nashville. Help me! Welcome to the stage the captain of Crushers GC and the 2024 U.S. open champion, Bryson DeChambeau. Gosh, I’m trying to hold it in right now, the support’s been overwhelming. Tickets for Nashville this week are nearly sold out. We are calling this The Bryson Effect. I mean, with how much support we have out here and it’s just the start that’s that’s a testament to what Liv golf is and what the Crushers are doing, what our team is doing and what we’re trying to do for Nashville and places all across the globe. So super excited for the future of Liv. Oh My dad. Oh Yeah, it was nice to at least walk down the last few holes, or at least the last hole, knowing that it was pretty much done. It’s never safe. But, very proud of everybody. And, of course, Tyro. I mean, what a week to get his first win in a few years and win by six in an absolutely dominant performance the way he did, it was absolutely incredible. So I couldn’t be happier for him. Certainly with not winning for three and a half years, you kind of naturally question if you if you can do it again, so I’m just proud of myself to, to be able to get through that and, play the way I di. All right. We’re back with you right here on Sports Grid Sunday style, we again? No soccer today. It’s just it’s interesting that that’s noteworthy, but that’s just how dominant the euro and even the Kovac I think is. Ben is a part of the conversation here. Certainly, at least for us on game time decisions about what we do have is a full WNBA slate. We just went through all that. I’ll run through just again quickly for the people. Of kind of where that card looks right now, favorite bet under one 64.5 storm sky, Chelsea Gray, ten plus points. And I’m going to take a chance with the dream there, at plus 11.5. So that’s where W card settles in right now. Let’s stick with basketball. Let’s talk some NBA. We alluded to this a little bit yesterday. The DeMar DeRozan chatter around his potential joining of the Sacramento Kings. Well that has now been finalized. And Sacramento is a team that very clearly wants to push in. Feel likey could be right there. And a needed. They felt they needed a move to get there. The difficult thing for the Sacramento Kings is just the state of the Western Conference. They were 46 and 36 last year. Sacramento which was good for the ninth spot, ultimately in the West. Now it was a tight race. It was there were moments where they looked like they could very well have been the sixth seed. Just for perspective, they were four games back of Dallas who were the fifth seed. So adding DeMar DeRozan, can that get you four wins? I don’t know about that, but I understand the idea for the kings of hey listen we might have been nine but compare their nine to the Chicago Bulls nine who won 39 basketball games and were eight games back of the playing seventh seeded Philadelphia 76 ers just far different right now. The DeMar stuff though is I think it’s tricky for me to slam the table and definitively tell you home run or swing and a miss I think there’s very strong arguments to be made on both sides of it. If you want to start with the positive end of it, talent is talent. DeMar DeRozan is better than Harrison Barnes. It’s that simple. When the Phoenix Suns made the move to get rid of Chris Paul and bring in Bradley Beal, people crushed the move. But Chris Paul versus Bradley Beal. It felt like an obvious decision for the Phoenix Suns. But there were some fit issues. Ultimately more than anything they were health issues that were really a problem. I know the postseason match up with Minnesota ended up being disastrous, but the Suns did enter that series still favor so for the Kings, talent is talent. And if Barnes plus a pick gets you DeMar DeRozan, you probably have to do that. And there are some. Now this you know the three star model where people believe I don’t know if the three star model works. Let’s not go crazy. All right. Because the Boston Celtics just won the title Jayson Tatum is their best player. Jrue holiday is on team USA. And the finals MVP was Jaylen Brown. I think it’s still good to have talent. What are we going to say the Sixers had a bad off season because they brought in a third star in Paul George. I think that there there’s some fear that people have and this may be as just a Lakers fear because their third star they attempted to bring in was Russ, who was nowhere na star caliber guy. So they’ve brought in more talent. So from that end of it job done. The rest of it, though, is about a lack of shooting and a lack of defense. And in 2024, that sounds like a nightmare. The defense, you know, Malik Monk is probably starting, which means Fox, monk, DeMar Keegan Murray Sabonis. Is the Aaron Fox the only good defender in that starting lineup? It doesn’t feel great does it. It’s not like you’re slotting Keegan Murray down to guard the SG. And Ant Edwards and Luka Doncic of the world are you maybe don’t feel great about that. And now all of a sudden your best player, who was supposed to be the best player in Fox, has to now guard the other team’s best guy, and that can be a lot. So, well, what if the offense is brilliant? Well, DeMar doesn’t shoot a lot of DeMar can’t shoot. He presently doesn’t shoot. I am curious if he will become a willing shooter. It would be smart. But that’s a hope more than a guarantee. DeMar DeRozan is everything he’s done has worked for him. He just got a $74 million deal from Sacramento. Why would he start playing differently. Sabonis doesn’t stretch the floor De’Aaron Fox is coming off of a career year from beyond the. But that then does beg. The question was that outlier De’Aaron Fox’s last five seasons. Three point percentage 2932 30 3237. Guys get better. Guys get better. But if the Aron Fox goes backwards even a little bit 34.5 which again for him based on the other four years would be great. Now Keegan Murray and Malik Monk have to be out there to provide you shooting. We just said we’re worried about the defense, the weird spot. It’s a weird spot. Talent is talent. You talk about staggering all we want, but DeMar DeRozan just led the NBA in minutes. He likes to be out there. De’Aaron Fox was playing 36 minutes a night last season. Likes to be out there. But Sabonis his backup. Even so what are we talking about. This is a core that’s going to be out there on the court a lot together. Did the Kings get better I don’t know. They added more talent I don’t know if it works. Are we running to the window to bet the 25 to 1 for this team to win the West? I mean they brought DeMar DeRozan n right now. And there are nine teams with a better price to win the Western Conference. Are you sure they’re being disrespected. How many teams are you confidently telling me need to be slotted behind them. People shouting Lakers at the TV. Sure, Lakers were better than them last year. I me okay okay fine. Great. That’s eight in front of you. I guess a deal had to be done. I think it’s better than the bye deal because by would have cost more. Not a lot of confidence here on a Sunday for Sacramento. We’ll be right back. Nashville Help me. Welcome to the stage. The captain of Crushers GC and the 2024 U.S. open champion, Bryson de Cherbourg. Gosh, I’m trying to hold it in right now, the support has been overwhelming. Tickets for Nashville this week are nearly sold out. We are calling this The Bryson Effect. I mean, with how much support we have out here, and it’s just the start that’s that’s a testament to what live golf is. And what the Crushers are doing, what our team is doing and what we’re trying to do for Nashville and places all across the globe. So super excited for the future of Live! Oh Yeah. Certainly with not winning for three and a half years, he kind of naturally question if you if you can do it again, so I’m just proud of myself to, to be able to get through that and, play the way I did. Back right here. Game time. Decisions we have some quick picks. I’ll put these on the board quickly, because I do kind of want to get to a couple other fallouts from the DeRozan stuff, but just so. And we’re going to talk to Brady Conn in just a moment. So we’re going to expand. But I’m taking a shot 28 to 1 30 to 1 CT. Pan and Hayden Springer to win the John Deere. The other option for me that I was and it’s going to be vastly different right. Was to just play the favorite in Davis Thompson who’s at even money presently Thompson’s up two shots on Ryan Cole four shots on Pan and Springer. And then I think it’s 5 or 6 shots on everybody else at least. Right Clearly one can. And when you’re trying to figure out the what the score for Thompson looks like today is round prop is sitting 67.5. It’s just over. So the idea is he’s going to go up 3 or 4 under. Now. It could be better. It could be worse. But that puts you at 2425. So you then need to be willing or able to get to a golfer that you think can get to 24 or 25. And I do think pan and Springer both fit the description. All right, Springer, on the opening day of this tournament, when a preposterous 12 under now asking him to do that again would be a lot. But again asking him to go seven under might not be Pan went eight under on Friday and these guys are both second and third in strokes gained on this field. Thompson is one. Thompson’s the rightful favorit, but I didn’t think I was getting enough at even money. I was hoping for plus 150 plus 160. I didn’t get that. So I’m going to take a shot here. Springer Han big time bombs John Deere Classic. We’re going to talk to Brady Canada about this in a bit. We’re going to get to the baseball board. Joe Madden will join us in about a half hour’s time as well. But if I may just pick up the pieces on this DeMar DeRozan deal, one of the sneaky fallouts from this is actually Brandon Ingram. The Kings have been linked to buy for a bit. There’s also a Kuzma end to this. But we don’t have to. That’s less important when you go through the Brandon Ingram suitors that we’ve heard I think the Kings were the biggest. We know that Philly would have been interested if they struck out elsewhere. They didn’t strike out. They’re out Atlanta was talked about when it came to Dejounte Murray or Trae Young deals. Well Dejounte Murray is a Pelican. And so is Brandon Ingram I think it’s fair to say they’re out. The Cavs have been tossed around because of reported interest in Jared Alle. We don’t know how much Kenny Atkinson would potentially want Brandon Ingram. But we’re now hearing Kenny Atkinson doesn’t want to get rid of Jared Allen and hand up. But when Atkinson went to the Cavs over my head initially they have history from their time in Brooklyn. So I believe that he may not want to get rid of Jared Allen. That could remove Cleveland who’s left I mean really how many teams left are looking to bring in Brandon Ingram where they believe it could be a difference making piece for them. Take them up a level. They have a desire to get up a level like Brandon Ingram could go to the Wizards and help them win more games. That’s not what Washington is about. Detroit doesn’t have the space for him. Charlotte’s been linked hometown situation okay, maybe again, I’m not sure if the Hornets want to be giving up assets though, especially with the Cooper Flagg draft right around the corner. But the one team that is there are actually two. I think that are presently resonating for me. One is Golden State because I think the Warriors desperately do want to make a big move. I think they are considered the favorites for Lowry Markkanen, but they prefer Markkanen to be. They’d have to miss on marketing before they’d ever pivot to Ingram. I believe the other Western Conference team was involved in the DeMar DeRozan deal. That’s the San Antonio Spurs who are now accruing a billion assets and could easily slot him in. And if this team started let’s just say CP3 Vassell by Harrison Barnes and Victor Wembanyama. You have scoring. You’ve got some shooting. You might say, do I trust the defense? And then you remember the best defensive player in the on the world is Victor Wembanyama, who’s going to clean up everything. I don’t know if the Spurs are ready to push all in, but I don’t know if getting Brandon Ingram is pushing all in and then there will be some absolute irony when the San Antonio Spurs jump in front of the Sacramento Kings, when this is all said and done, if they do get Brandon Ingram, it’s something to keep tabs on. Miami also might desperately try and get involved, but also Miami likes to pretend to get involve. Good stuff. Fraidy Cat and next. Nashville. Help me welcome to the stage the captain of Crushers GC and the 2024 U.S. open champion, Bryson de Cherbourg. Gosh, I’m trying to hold it in right now, the support has been overwhelming. Tickets for Nashville this week are nearly sold out. We are calling this the Bryson Effect. Certainly with not winning for three and a half years, you kind of naturally question if you if you can do it again, so I’m just proud of myself to, to be able to get through that and, play the way I di. All right. Back right here. Game time decisions joined by Brady. Cat and Brady. Great to talk to you, as we get set up for the John Deere Classic. And yesterday, we talked what would that target score be at the top. And I know you said perhaps 2425 right now Davis Thompson is the leader at 21 under. Do you still feel that’s the same range of where that winning score will come today? I do for the most part Kevin. You know, he he went a little lower yesterday than I expected. I mean he shot a 62 which is the lowest round he’s ever shot in his career, you know I kind of thought 19 or 20 would be the overnight lead. He got to 21. I still think 25 is the target number, will it be 26? It’s possible. Sure If Davis Thompson, you know, grabs the bull by the horns and continues where he left off yesterday. Yeah, you know, he can shoot six under and kind of run away with this, I think he will come down to earth a little bit and, and shoot 3 or 4 under today, which is fine, but it might not be enough to win this going away. It’s I think if Davis Thompson shoots 3 or 4 under, which gets him to, you know, 25 ish, that he brings other people into play here and, and maybe even the 17 unders like CT pan and, and, Springer. Hayden. Springer. Springer is in a little bit better position now than I think he was. You know, this is a guy who’s ranked 236th in the world in the w gr and he breaks out on Thursday and shoots a 59 and kind of, you know, the world past in front of his eyes. And we saw him, you know, feel that a little bit especially on Friday. You know when he struggled down the stretch. Now he now he’s in a position where there’s not a lot of pressure on him at all. And he could go low. CT Pan is the one guy on the leaderboard here that has the experience of winning a PGA tour event, so you know, he’s been there and done that before. He has a 63 already on his card this week. So it’s possible that he could go there again. You know and after that I don’t I don’t really think Kevin the guys at 16 or 15, I mean, it’s going to take them to do something really miraculous. And hey, it’s not necessarily I guess, that miraculous because we’ve seen it happen. This week and that’s 62 and 61 and 59 and stuff like that. But I think if you’re if you’re further back than 17 under, it’s going to take an outlier like that. Yeah. I think it’s a great point. If you look at the lowest scores throughout this tournament, Thursday played seemingly the easiest. Springer put up the insane 59. There was a 61 and then Cole had a 62. You said that Friday was supposed to be the most difficult day. It proved to be. So 63 was the lowest we saw. And then on yesterday’s course we saw Davis Thompson have the 62 and then it was 63. I think it is reasonable to say 62 is the best you could expect someone to get to. And if which, and that’s probably unlikely. You probably will see a 63, though. And I think that’s where Davis Thomas to Brady’s point being just a tick above where we would have thought does start to eliminate some guys. Just take Carson Young at 15 under. If he shoots a 63 today, that’s going to get him to 23. It’s going to be a bad day for Davis Thompson to not be at 24. Right? Or at minimum a playoff. Right. So that’s kind of why I think the range is limited here. But it didn’t stop me. Brady from throwing a few on the board in Springer and Pan because we have seen them both go for those eight unders. And if they’re either able to get to that, that would be at 25. And I think they’re going to be in with a real shout. Then if they can shoot that type of round here today, totally agree with you Kevin, on all points. I think 25 is the number that you have to shoot for. You know, Davis Thompson, it’s the low round of his career, a 62. So how does he come off of that? It’s not likely that he’s going to do it again, I think he could have a relatively pedestrian round and shoot a 67, which, you know, a lot of times wins you a golf tournament on Sunday. And it just might, but if he shoots 67 and I think that’s realistic, then there’s then there’s going to be some drama because there’s a lot of guys that could shoot a 65, a 64 and catch him and possibly one outlier that is lurking with a 63 or 62 that all seems reasonable, Davis Thompson should win this golf tournament. We’ve talked about this before. You know, it’s a birdie fest and he’s got a two shot advantage. It’s a track meet and he’s starting 100 yards further than everybody else on the track. And it’s not likely that he’s going to drop the baton. It’s not likely that he’s going to make birdie or excuse me bogeys. So you know when you when you’ve got an edge like that in a, in a birdie fest, it’s a big advantage. His price is fair. He’s obviously been in tremendous form. He’s finished runner up a couple of times. Recently finished ninth in the US open. I just I have reservations about his ability to handle this moment. He slept on a 54 solo, 54 hole solo lead for the first time in his career. When I saw him in the press conference, he kept going back to the phrase that he just had to say. He just had to stay, what was it mentally present? Or, you know, he and he said it like four times. And meanwhile Kevin Cole or Erik Cole was very positive, like, yeah, I’m going to be nervous, but I’m going to enjoy it. I’m going to have fun. And, you know, we’re going to see if we can get this done. Aaron Riley is kind of the question that I’m not quite sure about because he seems like that steely guy that’s emotionless and, and, you know, he didn’t really lead on where his head might be at. Thompson seems nervous. Cole knows he’s going to be nervous, but he’s okay with it. And rise kind of like the robot, you know? I think it comes down to those three guys, and it ought to be really interesting today, I think. And who knows what’s going to happen after this. But I think after the first two holes, which are both birdie holes, I think the deficit will be one. Right now, Thompson has a one shot lead after the Or, excuse me, a two shot lead after the first two holes. I think it’ll be a one shot lead and we’ll see what happens from there to key in on Aaron Rye. If you look, so far over the course of this tournament, of the eight golfers that are T6 or better, all but one are top ten strokes gained tee to green. Yeah, except for Aaron Rye who is going forward on the putter. The thing that throws me off a little bit and this is my outsider perception. But the name that did jump off the page first Brady was Aaron Rye in that he seems relatively the most pedigree of this core guys that are up at the top. So I struggled kind of balancing someone who is, you know, trying to go so far on a putter, but also being maybe the best golfer of actually the bunch, where if Rye then today can start figuring some things out around the green or off the tee, maybe he could separate from the field. I think the thing that mainly stopped me from giving Aaron Rye true consideration is if he was in front, then I would trust he could play well enough to keep everybody off. I don’t know if I trust what I’ve seen from Rye to hunt down a lead. Brady. Yeah, I hear you. I, you know, last week though, he was the 36 hole and the 54 hole leader and he succumbed to that pressure on Sunday. And also we saw him come in with a hot putter. The putter regressed a bit on Sunday and he ended up finishing runner up. He’s in a different role here in the role of chaser. The putter question is huge though. I mean Aaron Rye leading the field gaining almost ten strokes on the field with a putter. This is new territory for that guy. We’ll talk some more golf on the other side. Nashville. Help me. Welcome to the stage. The captain of Crushers GC and the 2024 U.S. open champion, Bryson de Cherbourg. Las Vegas. Guys, I’m trying to hold it in right now, the support’s been overwhelming. Tickets for Nashville this week are nearly sold out. We are calling this the Bryson Effect. I mean, with how much support we have out here and it’s just the start that’s that’s a testament to what live golf is and what the Crushers are doing, what our team is doing and what we’re trying to do for Nashville and places all across the globe. So super excited for the future of Live! Oh Oh. Oh It was nice to at least walk down the last few holes or at least the last hole, knowing that it was pretty much done. It’s never safe. But, I’m very proud of everybody. And of course, Tyro. I mean, what, a week to get his first win in a few years and win by six in an absolutely dominant performance the way he did, it was absolutely incredible. So I couldn’t be happier for him. Certainly with not winning for three and a half years, you kind of naturally question if you if you can do it again, so I’m just proud of myself to, to be able to get through that and, play the way I di. All right, we’re back right here. It’s game time. Decisions. Kevin Walsh joined by Brady Cannon. We kind of set the stage for the John Deere. But we’ve got some big tournaments right around the corner with the Scottish Open. Then heading into the open Championship. And I know we touched on this a little bit yesterday, but I kind of can’t help myself because I do think Rory McIlroy is going to be this caliber of story, especially when last time we saw him was the meltdown at the US open. The next time we see him is going to be a tournament. He won at the Scottish Open and then the next week is going to be a major championship. One thing that’s just jumped off the page, Brady, I’ve been able to see a couple of Open Championship lines that are up right now, and Rory is at 7 to 1. Wow That is the most respect. I remember seeing on Rory with Scotty in the field in quite some time. I don’t feel like a lot of people are going to be willing to get to that number. On Rory McIlroy. Yeah, that’s a heck of a price. I didn’t know he was that low. I thought he was, and I haven’t looked, you know, in the last 48 hours or so. As far as what’s being dealt here in Las Vegas, but I would have guessed closer to nine or even ten. You’re right. Seven is a tremendous amount of respect, and that’s great. I like to see it. And I understand Rory probably does have a little bit more of an edge on Scotty. In Europe than he would on U.S. soil. Scotty has been okay in British Opens in the past, Rory is obviously one one in the past, and that’s more closer to home for him. So yeah, I think it makes sense to elevate Rory McIlroy a little bit more, when he’s on quote unquote home turf, even though it’s in Scotland and not Ireland. I can’t wait. This is really a fascinating couple of weeks. We have coming up like you mentioned, he’s the defending champion in the Scottish Open. Rory really has an affinity to play. Well, the week before a major. And by the way, that victory last year, was incredible. Robert McIntyre was 100 to 1. He was a triple digit shot to win that tournament and was about to do it. And then all of a sudden with like 2 or 3 holes left, Rory, admittedly by his own admission, hit a couple of the best golf shots of his life. I want to say it was a two iron that he smoked from like 250 yards or something like that into the green hold. You know, it was an incredible finish to win that golf tournament. In dramatic fashion and then goes into the British Open and, you know, did okay. I think he had a top ten finish last year at Royal Liverpool, the course where he had won his Open Championship before, Royal Troon, the last time we saw it was the, the most amazing duel down the stretch between Henrik Stenson and Phil Mickelson that I’ve ever seen. Hopefully we get something like that again. As far as you know, from a betting standpoint, I actually had Henrik Stenson in in 2016. That made it all the more thrilling. But you kind of want to have more guys in the mix because on that particular Sunday it was Stenson and Mickelson and the rest of the field was like eight shots clear there. There was nobody else that was going to catch him. So you don’t necessarily want to see that, but but the finish between those two was tremendous. If Rory defends I mean, what are the odds that he’s going to defend his title in Scotland, you know, I guess probably in the neighborhood of 7 to 1. You know, if he if he does it, boy, do we have a storyline going into the British Open for a guy that, you know, peeled out and scratched his tires, leaving the grounds at Pinehurst hasn’t won a major in ten years, and now wins the week before going into the British. I hope it happens, man. You know, just just for the narrative standpoint, I kind of doubt it will. It would be a little surprising if he was to defend his title. I typically don’t like betting on guys to go back to back, I have not handicapped, the golf tournament yet, but the Renaissance Club is now built up some history where we kind of have a little bit, of course, form to go on where they play the Scottish Open, which I think is probably been in the neighborhood of close to ten years in a row now. So, we’re going to have a loaded field and I think the handicap might be a little bit easier than you know, than it’s been in the past, because we do have some history on this track. The other thing I just wanted to quickly bring up, it’s obviously going to be Scottie and I fear the travelers or the US open travelers combination will have fully broken Scottie for me unless I get to make another Sunday live bet the US open. He didn’t cost me a lot. I know you ended up with some great numbers on him. He couldn’t kind of close the, you know, close the door on. He lost me a top 20. Bet. It was whatever. You and I both kind of talked a little bit about. The travelers were like, oh, wow, nobody wants to bet Scottie. And we’re getting a better price in at the US open at a not us open. And I thought about i. Thought about it. Hesitated, didn’t bet him, convinced myself he wouldn’t win. And then he just went and just won the stupid thing because of course he did. And it’s now we’re just again, it’s just I don’t know, he’s just going to win again. I mean, we’ve talked about it, but he has he has won more tournaments this year than he has finished outside of the top ten. I mean, it’s just remarkable. Probably outside the top five I would imagine, you know, I was thinking about it the other night and I, I think we spoke about this yesterday. I have made three plays, to win the open Championship, two a little bit more serious, and one a long bomb, I played Collin Morikawa, I played Tommy Fleetwood and then I took a long bomb on, Emiliano Grillo at 300 to 1. And I was thinking about Henrik Stenson, who won it and. And what kind of player he was and what it took to win it that year at Royal Troon. Henrik Stenson, a incredibly accurate off the tee, known for hitting a three wood right down the middle his entire career. Rarely used driver, great ball striker, elite ball striker. Good good scrambling game and not a great putter. Who does that sound like, Scottie Scheffler? Maybe you know, but I, I had to go with, with, Morikawa and Fleetwood because they certainly fit that bill as well. But, yeah, next couple of weeks are going to be great, Kev. It absolutely is. And I know Brady will be helping us out, the entire way. Brady we appreciate it. We’re taking a quick break. We’ll be right back with more game time decisions on Sportscenter. Nashville. Help me. Welcome to the stage. The captain of Crushers GC and the 2024 U.S. open champion, Bryson. December Gosh, I’m trying to hold it in right now, the support’s been overwhelming. Tickets for Nashville this week are nearly sold out. We are calling this The Bryson Effect. I mean, with how much support we have out here and it’s just the start. That’s that’s a testament to what live golf is and what the Crushers are doing, what our team is doing and what we’re trying to do for Nashville and places all across the globe. So super excited for the future of Live! Oh My d. Oh yeah. Oh Yeah, it was nice to at least walk down the last few holes, or at least the last hole, knowing that it was pretty much done. It’s never safe. But, very proud of everybody. And of course, Tyro, I mean, what a week to get his first win in a few years and win by six in an absolutely dominant performance the way he did, it was absolutely incredible. So I couldn’t be happier for him. Certainly with not winning for three and a half years, you kind of naturally question if you if you can do it again, so I’m just proud of myself to, to be able to get through that and, play the way I di. Back. Right here on Sports Grid. Because we I up a little bit of the summer league, before we move over, and we’ll talk to Dave Sharapan in a little bit. Yesterday, the Bronny James debut, did not go great for Bronny. Did not go great for the Lakers, they lost that game by 14 to the Sacramento Kings. Bronny, with just four points, didn’t hit any of his props. That were on the board. Dalton Connect also struggled quite a bit at three for 12. Blake Henson shined off the bench I will say. And it’s bizarre I don’t know if it matters, but the starting lineup is completely wrong. Kind of alluded to what I thought the lineup would be which was Blake Henson in and Sean East out. And that is a I don’t know like if they’re serious about winning the game very much. Just a quick, simple fix for the Lakers. Or also like putting the most important Shawn East does not matter to this team at all. Blake ends and they just gave a two. A two is an elite three point shooter I don’t it’s just weird to me. You also would think that they would want to give Bronny more on ball reps specifically in the half court instead of Shawn East being the lead point guard or then allowing Tommy Cous to lead the second unit. So that was a little odd. Like if you were going to go, if you were going back to Bronny today, I don’t think you touch the assist. He wasn’t necessarily hunting rebounds. You just go right back to the points. You’re getting better. You’re getting better odds on the ten plus plus 182. Yesterday was plus 108. It’s one of those interesting things. But do we think that Bronny’s minutes are going to drop day over day? You think Golden State’s going to crush them because they crushed Miami? I’d hear the argument I’m not going to be like, oh, well, Golden State’s like a gazillion times better. So I wouldn’t do that. Ronnie took nine shots, three threes, two free throws, didn’t make a three, didn’t make a free throw. Okay I’m not going to sit here and say Bronny was good. It’d be crazy. How am I supposed to do that? If the most unbiased man in the history of sports media, he wasn’t good, but there was volume. So if Bronny is going to get nine field goals, a trip to the line and three threes, I would take my chances on that. I also think there’s room for more in that. You should probably have the basketball a little bit more and not Sean East. That’s just I listen, I think I’m sick. I watched the whole game. I watched the whole game. So we’ll see if they make the shift. But here’s the other thing. You want to remove the Bronny stuff of it all. And again, why not to rag on Sean East, but Golden Connect didn’t have the ball a lot. I know it looked like connect. He ended up with 12 field goal attempts and nine free throws. Garbage time last 2.5 minutes. He took the ball every time. Just kept going to the cup putting up shots, which was good. It’s how he got himself to 12. Dalton connect was as bad as Bronny yesterday. The thing is with connect you’re getting a little bit better value to get to 20 plus plus 142. You’re not getting you’re not laying -260 in a summer league game for him to get to 15, though, you’re not doing it. So you have to get to 20. I don’t like the three threes because he was again more aggressive attacking the ten than worrying about shooting the three. So you can get plus 150 on 20 plus from connect. I don’t hate it. It probably would be the direction I’d want to go. But bizarrely where I’d really be interested is, again, if they do release a starting lineup and Sean East is removed for Blake Henson, it will put Bronny then in the primary point guard role, and then they can run, pick and pop with Henson and connect and Castleton and it’ll all just make a lot more sense. Then you can play Bronny for like four assists, which I think is a plus price. Let’s see if that’s the case here. Yeah you can get plus 120. I’d be far more interested in that. If there’s a bit of a lineup change. Carlisle Ware in the Miami Heat will start. Things off. Carlisle where yesterday wasn’t great again. Miami got absolutely smashed, but five blocks crazy in 24 minutes. Just, it’s one of those things, man. But, you know, Miami got the pick, right? There’s a slight chance Carlisle Ware starts. I wouldn’t bank on it. 100. But when we talk rookie of the year, if Carlisle Ware could get himself into that starting lineup, it would be big. You know who that’s true of as well Stefan Cassell. That was the one thing that did go right for me yesterday in the Summer league. Betting him to make a three. He made multiple threes look smooth. Went two of four from beyond the arc. Those numbers are not up right now on DK, which is where I bet it they are up on FanDuel. But -360 to make a three. That was -105 yesterday to make two. He’s plus 138. Couldn’t get there for that. I’d rather take points for Stefan Cassell who’s a very real rookie of the year challenger. If he can get into that starting lineup. That remains to be seen. We’re going to talk to the sig. We’re live with you here on Sports Gri
