North Dakota’s newest world-class championship golf course, Hawktree Golf Club, has the golf world taking notice. Located just off Highway 1804 north of Bismarck, Hawktree’s architect Jim Engh has created a wonderful course that presents the player with a Scottish-links look but also a modern touch. Engh uses elevation changes, native prairie grasses, large greens and four tee boxes to give players of any age, gender or ability a chance to enjoy a great golf experience. This visually beautiful layout is also about wind and water. Wind is a common factor in high plains prairie golf and Burnt Creek is in play on eight holes. The tributary of the nearby Missouri River winds through the layout, and there are three lakes to contend with as well. Another distinctive characteristic of Hawktree is Engh’s use of black coal slag in the bunkers. Hawktree offers a world-class golfing experience at incredibly affordable prices.
Hawktree Golf Club has received many distinguished accolades, including
Best Course in North Dakota by Golf Digest 2001,

Rated #2 in Golf Digests 2000 list of The Best New Affordable Public Courses in America, and Rated #3 of “The 10 Best” in “Most Bang For Your Buck” by Travel & Leisure Golf 2002.
