Welcome to the big time Rory Mroy. 15 Rory after watching that ball trickle down. Oh no way. Mroy with three in a row and the third the most unlikely to get to 16 under. It would be appropriate if his 100th putt this week dropped for Burton. And it does. What a finish for Mroy. That is a bullet. Oh, look at this. Sensational. Rory Mroy is starting his season par three short 119 yardds. And I saw that slam dunk. Second career ace on the PGA Tour for Mackoy. Rory said, “All right, duck over everybody. Over the houses.” What a swing. This is the exact opposite direction of 14. So from 401, with that kind of a help, you can get it there. And he did. 401 on the green. You just heard a big roar from Rory. It’s 16. Watch this. No way. You think he doesn’t want to win, Dan? What a shot. That’s the most pumped up I’ve ever seen him. He’s got four majors and I’ve never seen a reaction like that. 52 yds looking straight down this flag. A little bump and run from this long rough. And what a shot here. What a shot. So Mroy makes eagle here. Not taking much time here, Cole. No, this is a perfect lie. Sitting up. Slight ups slope. Very doable. Textbook. Doable. Is it make? Yes. You kidding me? Very doable. [Applause] But this is not about power here. This is all about precision. How about that? That was precision. I’d say that’s what you’re looking for. Has to have a birdie to have a chance. When Tiger shot 62 years ago, he had a beautiful cut in there. Medieval threaded it in. just left of the hole. Oh, and Mroy is set up for an eagle. Best shot of the day right there. And look how pumped he is after all he’s been through in the last year. After all he’s been through today. How about that? Threads the needle, runs it through the bunker. I did not see that shot. No. Oh, comes out great. Got a chance. Look out. Backto back holds from off the green. How about those two shots? Third opportunity to win the tour championship in the FedEx Cup from 14 1/2 ft. He steps right in. And this time, the third time’s a charm and Rory Mroy wins the tour championship and the FedEx Cup. While we were away, Mroy at 14 from 152 and the man knows how to follow suit. That’s all I’ll say. Looking good. Looking great. Do you believe what we have seen today? Watch you try and throw it all the way over there. Done it. And he’s wants to bank around. Come on. But hacker terrifying this hole with him with the club. Sounded good on a pretty good line left of the hole. If it carries that bunker, it could be pretty good. Oh, it did. It just did. In an extraordinary PGA Tour season, it is Rory Mroy with his extraordinary talents that wins a third FedEx Cup title. Comes back from six shots back. Rory hit it so far at 18. He’s near somebody’s backyard. Wow. 356 yards. I was walking with him in the practice round. Oh, unbelievable shot. Got that lucky not to have an obstructed view there from powering it through the fairway. Clean. Wow. What a shot by I was not expecting that. So now this is kind of well back. He’s got to get it over this lip. See the flag sticks just on the right side here away from the the little creek. Who needs to be in the fairway? Oh, I think he raised his hands like it might end. It’s behind the flag stick and he’s got great eyesight. This guy’s like a hawk. Ball’s got plenty of steam on it. It’s running at the center of the green as we see it. for the win. It’s going to be just fine. In fact, this is going to be a heck of a shot. Wow. That was spectacular. He’s played one heck of a round considering where he was hitting it. Mhm. Incredible. Longest drive of the day. This is tattooed right at it. Oh, you’re not kidding. Look at this. We haven’t had We haven’t had an eagle at 15 all week. Rory’s in the bunker at the 12th is second from 144 again. Tried to chew off more than he could. He’s in that right bunker, but no problem going at this pin. And what a shot that was. Go in. Well, he’s going to make that. Play the banking. Yep. I like this choice. taking it up all the way and using that ridge there. This is very good. Very good. Oh, please. [Applause] You get an applause for that. I mean, my goodness, very few can take it over that line, Aaron. It’s unbelievable, Frank. That is crazy. That’s insane. Okay, then annihilated one here on Friday. Starts it on the same line. Look for this to carry over 300 and the rest 338 that’s crazy in the air. That’s got to be 190 ball speed. Oh yeah, getting so mother nature can only create pars. Such an advantage being able to hoist that one up high. Probably an apex around 140. 20 ft for an eagle. It’s looking good. It’s an eagle for Mroy. Yeah. I gave it a slicing club face. Oh, and that was a beautiful bounce. This could be handy right here. This is amazing. Here we go. Wow. He’s just had three two tapins to a from a foot for Bird and another one from there. Rory Maroy ready to go here. Got it past drive. Needs this slope and a little draw to bring it back down towards the whole location. Oh, there we go. Pretty precise shot to land it in the correct spot to chase it all the way back to this pin. See if we’ll have some chase. How good is that from Rory Maroy? Wow. [Music] Back live just in time to see Mroyy’s ball go in the hole. What a little pit shot that was. Beautiful. Nearest palms to him that he could shoot the ball through and get it to the green. Not the best angle with the hole cut on the left hand side, that’s for sure. What a shot, too. How do you do that? This is Mroy. What’s left for a third? Well, and Pete D didn’t just want to punish you for shortsighting. Oh, no punishment there. Okay, Lee. That’s what we talked about today. Number three player in the world getting it to just 123 yds to the pin. Wow. He’s leaving himself about 3 ft to get to two under par and join himself with Ludvig Oberg. Maroy at the eighth with his third. Trying to make this Maroy. How do you keep doing that? [Applause] We know he’s put the hard work in on that club right there. It’s paying off. Just a beautiful hold off wedge. You can see with that perfect balance, great tempo at the first for Maroy from the bunker. Well, that had to make him happy. That’s the way to get your third round started. Fairway at the ninth. Napoy on the way. That’s a gap wedge on the way. Just needs to control the spin. This is phenomenal looking. Oh, sure is. Almost hold it again. [Applause] Oh, what a golf shot. This could be. What could be is Don? Ow. Stop it back there. That should stun the forward momentum. What an amazing shot from Rory Mroy as that will come to a stop back there. 15. Maybe Rory can sling one in here. Just a clip of the love. This is physical. Looks so much like the Tiger hold shot of a generation ago. flights it down on a pretty good line here, guys. Oh, yes, it is. And and if he’s got those going and able to flight the wedges down, he’s pretty tough to beat. Sounded a little thin now turning towards the hole. This could be good if it gets there. Oh, it’s good. Yeah, Fax told me absolutely striped it in his warmup and he’s come out firing. He makes that. It really wakes up those guys back there coming to 2T. What a start. Mroy pays off. The closest shot at the second so far today. It is the birdie eagle start. Had that into the grain line. It did get cute beautifully. Did he need Did he need that? You’re just waiting for it. Looks like it tried to hook it off that bunker. He likes it. Let’s watch. How about hit it right over it. We talked earlier that bunker. Gary, it’s 311. Look at this. It’s 311 to go over it. He’s hit it where the people have to walk across the crosswalk. He’s got I don’t know 80 yards left. 90. That is outrageous. That’s outrageous. And it looked like he aimed to do that. Yeah. This is a draw on a very aggressive line. Is it ever? And it worked out to perfection. Make that three, Dan. Three golf balls on the green. What a shot from Mory Maroy. In the world, he could be in class to the fourth. Maroy at Spy Glass. Second shot. Just throwing a pitching wedge down there. Really good looking. It spins. Oh, it did. It’s been a little too much. Nice shot there. That’s whole location all the way back. Very narrow green, but the perfect angle if you’re ever going to get it. Just trying to hold that. Got to be just a little eight iron or something into there. Oh, brilliant shot. Mroy shot of the day here at six. Back with Mroy. His second shot to the 15th. That was a nine iron from 155. Went from the left. Oh, right over the top of it. Another good swing. And that ball never left the flag stick. Takes a huge swing. The ball pops out of there. And if it carries the front bunker, this could be great. Sure did. Little stop. Breaks right there, Terry. You cannot overstate how great that just was. That ball was some 4 in down there. Pitching wedge, baby. So much for left of the flag. Yeah. How about right at it? Was this off the cart path? Close. Well, played it from the grass. It looked like it might have played it from the path. Walking it up like he likes it. And he should. Little tap in birdie for Mroy. Can we give ourselves another opportunity here? Indeed, we can not going to have to worry too much about it. The twotime RBC Canadian Open champion Rory Maroy making a move. The lie is no problem at all. Knocked one in tight yesterday from the right side and he’s done it back to back. 15th holes have been good to him this week. It is a front right hole location. Kids not easy to get to knowing that hole location. He laid back to have a full yardage so he could get maximum spin and landed that perfectly. Just don’t want anything to do with the right side here. He seems to like it, Brendan. And as he should. Beautiful shot there. Maybe that’ll get Rory Maroy jump started. Good leave here. It’d be a little short, little right. So hard to control with spin when you swing it that hard. Looks good for weight. That’s incredible. He’s flown that wedge nearly 170 yards in the air and he’s got a perfectly whole high. Pretty good lie over there. Not a great angle. This one on a very aggressive line. Starts right at the hole. [Applause] Beauty. What a shot on this shot. Getting it in the fairway. Well, he is taking it down that left side up and over those pine trees. This could be really good. I’m going to tell you, you couldn’t stamp it out there any better than that. I mean, that is absolutely perfect. This thing is a mile in the air left of the pin. Might need to take a seat. Smartly played. Perfectly flagged high advantage. More put some pace behind it and it helps you play the next two differently with that one shot lead. And Maroy has got another players title. World number two with his second. and setting the table here for what could be a very special year for Mroy. [Applause]
