Paul Kimmage at the PGA Championship
In the calm before the US PGA storm, the fairways are quiet at Quail Hollow with the vast majority of the favourites for Major glory yet to arrive.
There’s no sign of Rory McIlroy, Shane Lowry or Séamus Power yet, but two of the hardest working men in the game are already surveying the challenge ahead – and they meet under the Charlotte rain to discuss what lies ahead.
On one side, the former PGA winner Pádraig Harrington, preparing for his 86th Major championship, and on the other, the Irish Independent’s Brian Keogh, as usual, one of the first journalists in the media centre. Paul Kimmage stood between them to capture their discussion on the very different challenges facing McIlroy, Lowry and Harrington, himself, this week.
