Ricky will Howard they take him in the sixth round along they have Mason Rudolph there they have Skyler Thompson Braz what’s going on there given that we have not heard from Aaron Rogers right and the Steelers he hasn’t told them yes they’re still hoping and and they’re optimistic that he will uh he hasn’t told them no yet so on they go with their offseason program with Mason Rudolph and Skyler Thompson and Will Howard who they drafted uh in one of the later rounds so it gives these guys an opportunity to show what they can do. Aaron Rogers may show up at some point. If he does, it would be to be the starter. But if he doesn’t, I don’t honestly think the Steelers are all that stressed out about it. Mason Rudolph is somebody who’s been there who helped them get to the playoffs two years ago when he became the starter late in the season. Uh he’s wellliked in the locker room by the coaching staff. I I I everybody laughs, but I the Steelers actually feel like we can play good defense. We can run the ball. Mason Rudolph, you know, could be good enough. Uh, good enough. I don’t I don’t know if that’s what you want in the NFL. It’s like, okay, okay, I understand you could win with, I guess, a game manager or whatever. I don’t know. Swagu, what do you think of the way they handled How much How much better than how much better than Mason Rudolph was Aaron Rogers last year? That that’s that’s the question I would ask. Oh, Swagu, your thoughts. All right, first of all, let me say this. I don’t like optimistic Graciano. I like negative Graciano. I like the one that really is bunched because we know damn well the Pittsburgh Steelers ain’t winning nothing with Mason Rudolph, Skyler Thompson, and probably Aaron Rogers as well. Here’s the bigger issue. Where are you how are you positioning as the Pittsburgh Steelers to get a quarterback beyond Aaron Rogers, beyond Mason Rud? How are you positioning? The waffling has happened because you’ve had good enough play to always be picking 20th or lower tier and you can’t get these guys. make no moves up in the draft. I thought Shador Tom uh Shador Sanders would be the pick because of a young quarterback and maybe you hang your hat on him progressing and becoming the franchise guy. Then then that was gone. You look at the Pittsburgh Steelers and how they’ve been waffling and I for the life of me can’t understand what the quarterback situation future looks like. Here’s the other thing. I hope, okay, that they are like two famous people in a relationship that are going to come out to the world at a big event because that’s the only thing that can happen. Like, and if it’s going to be Aaron Rogers, we got to live with Aaron Rogers. And I know he didn’t have the greatest season, but there were signs that he would be better than what they have in the locker room right now. That is what this is about. This ain’t about Super Bowls. This ain’t about the Pittsburgh Steelers winning nothing or signing long-term deal with Aaron Rogers. This is a one-time thing where hopefully you could be a a solid team with Aaron Rogers at quarterback. The analogy. I’m sorry. Now I’m just thinking about Mike Tomlin and Aaron Rogers walking into the Met Gala tonight for Marcus’ hardline. I knew I knew he was going to catch you. The Metal was going to catch you. LeBron can’t go. LeBron can’t go this year. LeBron can’t go. I I like look uh if the Steelers aren’t getting Aaron Rogers, I do not understand their approach to this off seasonason at all. It makes no sense to me. But even if they are, to Gratziano’s point, Aaron Rogers was like a bottom 10 quarterback last year. So, it’s okay, right? It’s, you know, I think that there’s reason to believe they could get decent play out of him, but will it be enough to put them over the top in the AFC North? I’m skeptical of that. But, uh, yeah, I I if he’s not gonna be a Pittsburgh Steeler, then we’re going to look back at this off seasonason completely puzzled by how they handle things. Okay. So, so here’s my thing. And, and to your point, Mina, I know that these guys were in the building, but if you going to do this, why don’t you just let Justin Fields Why don’t you just try to keep Justin Fields? Maybe the money was a problem and obviously the Jets signed him to 20 million a year. But if you’re the Pittsburgh Steelers, you got you got solid to good quarterback play for him from him before you went to Russell Wilson. Maybe another year in this system, another year in the locker room or did you they completely give up on Justin Fields to go to what they have now? And that is what is going to piss these fans off. When that question arises, if you’re not having success throughout the season, I always say it, everybody cool when it’s May, April, and we ain’t got nothing to do and everybody is optimistic like Dan. But when we get to September and October, and you sitting there two and six, and your quarterback done through threw nine interceptions, watch how many people talk about why Justin Fields didn’t get kept or even Russell Wilson at that point. Yeah. Is this one of those situations where they know something that we don’t and that’s why it doesn’t make sense? They have to. Or or does it really just not make sense? That could be. All right. Exact. Oh. Oh. See, why do you always say that as we’re going to go to commercial? Okay. Anyway, Swagu. Yeah. Or they want a better draft pick next year. All right. Swag. Yeah. Okay. was asked about a potential trade for cornerback Jaylen Ramsay. Uh, okay. He certainly did not close the door on that possibility of that return. You know, there’s not too much of an update. He is a total stud and you look at obviously he’s continued to play at a really high level and so there are a lot of layers when you’re talking about a player of his caliber. All right? you know, with regards to the contract, the compensation uh that they would be looking for in exchange for receiving a player of his magnitude. And so, we’re never going to shy away from opportunities to increase the competitiveness of our roster or add great players as long as it fits within the framework of everything that uh that acquisition like that would entail. I mean, Mina, do you think Jaylen Ramsey returning to the Rams is a good fit? Yeah, it makes sense. It’s also an area of need for them. I mean, this was a defense where the four-man rush really came alive down the stretch, but there were still vulnerabilities on the back end, particularly at quarterback, and they didn’t address them in the draft or free agency. Jaylen Ramsey, maybe he’s getting up in the air, but let me tell you, he can still play. He was incredibly effective last year for Miami, playing on the outside. Uh, if he was to come back with the Rams, he could play outside. He could also play that star position that he played during the Super Bowl run. Uh, so this to me would make a ton of sense. And obviously, there’s a familiarity there as well. Okay, now on to something that really doesn’t make a ton of sense, but it did happen, so we have to show it to you. So, we have Vikings receiver Justin Jefferson. He’s down in Miami, okay, for the Miami Grand Prix. And he’s throwing the football around with McLaren driver Oscar Pastry down there in Miami. This is on Thursday. So, Pastry goes on to win his third consecutive race and he had promised Jefferson on Thursday that he would do the gritty if he won. Now, he qualified fourth, so he didn’t think he was gonna win. And Dwagon, what do you think about his gritty? Because I mean, he did make good. Nope. Nope. When your body can’t move that well, you drive cars. Okay, that stick to what you know, brother, cuz that is awful. Um, first, why didn’t he have Justin show him before this? Or if he did, he didn’t listen at all. Okay, congrats on winning the pre, but brother, don’t do that no more. He didn’t think he was going to win apparently because he qualified fourth. But I mean, don’t we have to give him some respect, Mina, for like, you know, making good on the promise? No. Uh, I say that as someone who should never be televised, by the way, doing any kind of dance, much less the gritty. So, the gritty is not that easy. I know it looks easy, but you know, you try it. Yeah. I would not try it on camera, that’s for sure. No, that will not be happening. Uh, still the year, but they told him, "Look, if you need the whole year to get ready, we have a guy that can start." And that’s why the Giants signed Russell Wilson, knowing they were going to try and address the long-term quarterback question uh in the draft, but not wanting to have whoever they took have the pressure of needing to start right away if he wasn’t ready. Yeah, we talk about that all the time, having the luxury of a veteran there at the start of the season. So, what do you think of the Giants plan, Swaggo?
