The intense clash between Phil Mickelson and VJ Singh in Augusta Nationals Champions locker room sent shock waves through the golf community. Everything started when Singh decided to go and snitch to officials that Mickelson wearing metal spikes was actually damaging the greens. The officials decided to inspect Phil’s shoes, but found no big issue with them, so they settled everything peacefully. Singh was not very happy and kept discussing the issue with other players in the locker room. But unfortunately, Migkelson overheard this conversation. He was pissed and went straight to sing. Things got pretty heated and honestly, Phil and VJ couldn’t stand each other. Thankfully, the situation eventually calmed down, allowing both players to return to the fairway and start playing. Ultimately, neither won the Masters that year as Tiger Woods claimed victory instead. At least someone was happy that day. If you think that was crazy, wait till you hear about Tiger Woods being very disrespectful. Number nine, Tiger Woods spitting on the green. Golf fans can sometimes become very overreactive, even to small acts that are definitely disgusting, but also pretty common. Tiger Woods, a legend like him, also failed to avoid such drama, which happened in the final round of the 2011 Dubai Desert Classic. Woods was facing quite the challenge, and out of frustration, or maybe unintentionally, he spit on the 12th green following a missed par putt. His crime was captured on camera and the criticism started falling in with many calling him arrogant and disgusting. In fact, the European tour event finded Woods for it, which many think is a bit too much for a player like him who is usually very calm. But in the end, Woods later apologized via Twitter, admitting it was his mistake and that he should have done better. Now, that was some crazy reaction, but what I’m about to show you next is even crazier. Number eight, Suzanne Person’s Soloulheim Cup controversy. Suzanne Person’s Soulheim Cup controversy during the 2015 Soloulheim Cup at Golf Club Street Leon Rot in Germany is a highly debated topic in the golf community. To give you a synopsis, the female golfer Person was part of the European team competing against the American golfer Allison Lee in a four-ball match. During the match, Lee missed a birdie putt and picked up her ball while thinking that the Europeans had conceded the now 18-in putt. But that’s where the drama actually began because Person later claimed that she and her team conceded nothing. The acknowledgement led to the US team losing the hole along with the match. Now, many would call it dirty play, but each side has its rights and none violated any rules. So, in the end, it was all a play of fate. This incident is now famous as Gimiggate and Person was also forced to apologize for her involvement in the controversy. If you think that was controversial, wait till you see the next one. Number seven, Rory Sabatini abandoning his partner. Rory Sabatini and Ben Crane are excellent golfers, but things got a bit grumpy at the 2005 Booze Allen Classic. The issue occurred due to slow play. Sabatini is known for his quick thinking and action, but unfortunately he was paired with Crane, who takes his time and plays slow to get the best hit possible. But as they were playing the final round at Congressional, Sabatini became quite frustrated with waiting for Crane. On the 17th hole, Sabatini’s ball went straight into a water hazard. But instead of being patient, he ignored Crane before he could take a second shot. He then went ahead to prepare his drop. And to be even more rude, he chipped onto the green, putt out, and then left for the 18th T once again without waiting for Crane to finish the hole. The entire crowd became very angry and even booed Sabatini. But how did it affect Crane? Well, for him, this rude attitude didn’t bother him. In fact, he knows his thing and will take all the time he has to play in future games as well. Now, that’s a man with true confidence. The next one is just comedy. Number six, female golfer hits the same woman twice. In this video clip, a female golfer in pink attire gets ready to make a T-shot in an amateur long drive competition, but instead of aiming for the hole, she aimed for the crowd and the ball hit one of the female spectators. Now, that was quite embarrassing, but the golfer didn’t feel much about it and didn’t even apologize to the spectator she struck with the ball. She then made a second attempt and once again she hit the ball directly into the crowd. But guess who was the victim this time? Number five, Rory Maroy sending spectators to the hospital. Well, the previous woman hit the same woman twice, but Rory Maroy is in his own league. He hit three spectators in one game. It all happened at the 2018 BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth when Maroy created quite the chaos around him. The first of his victims was on the sixth hole when his ball hit a woman’s hand. Well, some might say chest, but either way, that’s got to hurt. Then later on in the 17th hole, he once again made a hit steward right in the back. Now if that wasn’t enough, the real disaster occurred. It was now the 18th hole where once again Rory’s ball hit a woman straight on the head near the green. But this time, aside from the pain, the woman drew blood, making it quite a serious situation that led her to seek medical help. Maroy faced criticism for not warning the spectators, but it was obvious he didn’t mean to do that. Heck, he didn’t even think his ball would fly that far. Despite these incidents, Maroy finished the day tied for the lead. Now, that was quite painful, but still not as unfortunate as this next one. Number four, fan throws a hot dog at Tiger Woods. Tiger Woods was about to make a very important putt when he encountered something very bizarre. The incident happened during the final round of the fries.com opened in 2011 at Cordoval in Northern California. Out of nowhere, a 31-year-old spectator ran onto the seventh green while shouting tiger at the top of his lungs, trying to get his attention. He even had a hot dog in his hand, which he then tossed in Wood’s direction. Well, the man was pretty far away, and that hot dog also didn’t make it too far. The guy was then immediately detained and pinned to the green while Tiger maintained his composure and made the putt. Later, Woods even joked about the incident during an interview. The hot dog man must be very drunk to step on the field like that, but this was nowhere near as annoying as these pranksters. Number three, Airhorn versus golfers. Just look at these pranksters who like to tease these poor men who only want to enjoy playing golf. In these clips, you can see how these youngsters use the air horn as soon as the golfers try to make a T-shot. The loud noise makes them completely stunned, and they look around to find the source of the noise. And when they do find the pranksters, those scums laugh at them, further teasing them. Now, that’s just straight up disrespectful. Number two, fist fight on golf course. Golfers can get heated very quickly, but going all out for a fist fight is still way too much. like these guys in the video. It’s the Colorado Golf Course where these two men box each other after engaging in a heated argument. The man recording the video was also there to play golf with his friends, not knowing that he would get premium tickets to see a boxing match on a fairway. It’s believed that the reason for this fight to occur was that the group in the lead was slow playing compared to the other group. But in the end, the most hilarious part is how both men ready to knock down the other suddenly shake hands and end the dispute. What a random thing to happen, but still not as random as the next one. Number one, Jungle Bird interrupting golfers. Webb Simpson’s US Open interview in 2012 after winning his first major at the Olympic Cup was quite an event. Not because of a remarkable speech, but because of Birdman, aka Jungle Bird, who suddenly appeared in front of the camera and started making bird noises. This made everyone laugh, including Webb, who simply couldn’t process what had just happened. The Birdman was soon forced away from the camera angle, and Webb continued with his interview. But this wasn’t the end, as the Birdman struck again at the women’s British Open Golf, where he once again flapped his arms like wings and made those strange bird noises.
