Today is Day one of my attempts to train like a tour pro for 30 days leading to my playing in the Legends Pro am at Mount Juliet in Ireland. I will be coached by Tom Atkinson and Lewis Johnson in the hope I can get my game razor sharp for the big day.

Good luck Andy work hard and get rid of that fade !
one length irons to 6 iron or 5 depending on speed.
Your decent Andy anyway so don’t be negative ,maybe playing in front of cameras and a crowd might make you nervous ,just try and enjoy it 👍
Andy is going to hate me for this but…
He needs to add in some fitness work specifically get a trainer to add some stretching (the right sort of stretching for a golf swing rather than general fitness work) before each round or practice session. Partly it is to protect the body but getting the body loose and warmed up will make it easier to commit to the shot rather than dollying around the course. Even 3-4 weeks of doing this most days will make a big difference.
Already loving the new series
I disagree. If you play and practice everyday you can improve no doubt. Only thing you can’t coach is nerves under real pressure. So I would at least throw in a weekly money match.
Good luck Andy on this pal will be good to follow this 👏👏👍 looking forward to the chipping 🙌
Good luck Andy
I've been a Track and Field / Cross Country coach for 35 years. The only thing I can't control / coach is "heart and desire." If you have the right mindset and put in the work you can do anything you want to. Get after it and good luck this season! ⛳
Best of luck Andy, I'm excited to see this series.
Well done Andy thanks for letting us enjoy this journey😎
Such a good video And. I could properly relate to your goals there.
It's not a battle of skills, but a battle of wills. *TM
Dollying? Im not familiar with the term in a golfing context. I am in the US, so that may be part if it. Good luck in your improvement journey. I am working to improve my game as well. I have years of bad habits to overcome.
Excellent start Andie. Will love tracking your progress.
I'm excited to be a part of your journey. My game is crap and I'd love to see what you do to improve yours.
6:30 great ad placement execution
Looking forward to Monday! Love the journey. 🏌🏻♂️
Hello Andy, this is an interesting challenge. You must enjoy the time out on the course with your friends. 😊😊😊
What a great idea for a series and good to see the summation at the end of what your going for first.
You need a swing / swing thought that you have 80% or more confidence will work. Then you can play with that knowing where the ball will go, not thinking I’ll draw this then fade an approach on next then have one going straight. The pro’s might be able to do that as they have worked for years on their game.
This is going to be so good to watch but I’m away most of May so it’ll be an overdose of videos when I’m back
Brilliant content – Andy what’s your handicap atm ?
What a great idea for a series with a purpose 👍 I’m working towards entering the Senior Open Qualifier in 2026 and this first episode has already thrown up areas I need to focus on. Well done Andy.
I also draw my training regimen from a professional golfer…John Daly.🤣
Good luck
Very interesting – i always thought the professionals preferred a fade as it was easier to control.
Other than aiming at the flag, what adjustment did you make, just standing more closed at address?
Looking forward to the rest of the series.
Looks like you don’t have a full set of clubs in your bag? What clubs are you playing?
I’m excited to watch. I really look forward to all of your content.
Our God indeed is a covenant keeping God. Has he said a thing and not perform it? I watch how things unfold in my life, from penury to $155,000 every month and I can only praise him and trust him more. Hallelujah🙌🏻❤️🇺🇸
As well as all the technical work, what about complementing this with a performance platform like DECADE so you improve the mental aspect and course management part of your game?
Enjoyed that pal, looking forward to watching the journey
Love this series…. Best of luck Andy
Hi Have you heard of King James V! Golf Club in Perth Scotland. It is an 18 hole course situated on an island in the city.
You can only access the course by using a railway bridge, you walk along the side of the track with trains passing you by. The other method is by boat, this is often used for deliveries. Think it might make an interesting video. I am not certain but it could be one of only two courses in the world situated on an island in a city.
I would echo the comment below regarding golf specific physical training, strength/speed and flexibility/mobility, go see a TPC certified Pro and get your physical handicap assessed, we often wonder why we do things well often it's our bodies.
Good luck, Andy. I'm looking forward to these videos and watching your improvement. Cheers. YNWA!!
Andy- all your videos are great. But the expression on Lewis' face and his two word reply when you asked him the likelihood of success in getting you ready for the tourney displayed something even better about you both: a wonderful sense of humor.
Best video yet.
