currently third on the tour in total driving ludvig is an incredible driver of the golf ball what I love here is how far his Club head has traveled and how little his shoulders have turned it’s beautiful for timing it’s a shorter back swing but he still averages 120 Club speed now this hand shallowing move is what we all dream of the only way he’s able to do it is he keeps his shoulders closed all the way to the top and with his sequencing so good his shaft is already on plane at this point and from here all he has to do is watch the ball go down the middle of the Fairway

  1. What does it mean to say, “he keeps his shoulders, closed all the way to the top“? I understand keeping the shoulders closed as the hands drop, but “all the way to the top”? I’m not sure I understand that. Thanks.

  2. Like the head position at the top. I see a lot of pros drop the head well before reaching the top of backswing. His looks like it actually raises just a touch. He also moves away from the ball towards body side. Then moves back into the ball side on way down. All very slightly. All that's being taught these days is breaking the butt line and getting lower body massively open earlier. He's proof that this is not necessary at all. His swing looks completely more simple and repeatable. Balance training, strength training, and flex training is all that's required to keep this swing in power mode. Simple mechanics, simple swing, simple results. Equals success.

  3. The shaft actually steepened in the first part of his downswing, which happens a lot of the times when you drop your hands straight down in a line that would extend down to your feet, Hogan and Snead hands actually moved their hands more out to a spot between the feet and the ball, while the shaft shallowed.

  4. The first noticed this bloke about three years ago on the European tour. Effortless power and a silky smooth.swing … a world-class talent, for sure.

  5. Turn off the sound watch his knees and hips. Shoulders closed on the backswing has nothing to do with how his arms slot on plane coming down

  6. An elegant swing. And he got great training playing at Texas Tech in Lubbock. The wind is so strong and ground so hard out there it’s like playing a links course every day. Proud of him, WreCkEm! 🌵

  7. Only 1 way to shallow the club. These idiots all have 100 different wrong ways.
