Kai Trump and Donald Trump awkwardly answered questions from reporters
Trump’s granddaughter, Kai Trump, joined a small media conference for the President’s 2 am Air Force 1 news presser this morning, but she didn’t look completely at ease – with many online pointing out that she didn’t look too pleased that her grandfather introduced her to the media.
17-year-old Kai Madison Trump joined her grandfather while surrounded by cameras and news reporters, as Trump pointed to them all and said, “You know the fake news? This is the fake news.” This comes as Trump’s ‘real height’ has been detailed in a recently released medical report.
“How are you guys? Good morning,” she smiled nervously. “We’re just doing a little news conference. You wanna partake?” Trump asks, before telling reporters, “She’s a great athlete, actually, a great golfer. A great student.”

The teenager looked noticeably uncomfortable during the short conference, as Trump answered questions from reporters, including whether he has concerns about human rights abuses at the prison in El Salvador.

Trump dismissed any potential concerns and said, “We have some very bad people in that prison, people that should have never have been allowed into our country.”
The reporter asks, “But what about the human rights abuses?” to which Trump replies, “I don’t see that.”

Another reporter turns to Kai Trump and asks her what she thought of the UFC fight.
“That was awesome. It’s my first UFC fight and I really enjoyed it”, Kai said. The reporter then asked what she thought of the reaction, to which she responded, “It was really cool.”
President Trump then chimes in, saying to the reporter, “I didn’t think you’d notice” before turning to another reporter and saying, “Bryan would have noticed. Bryan, what did you think of the reaction?”
The awkward exchanges were captured on video and posted across social media, causing the clips to go viral.
Kai Madison Trump is the eldest daughter of Donald Trump Jr. and Vanessa Haydon, who married in 2005 before divorcing in 2018. Haydon was previously a model and even appeared in the Jack Nicholson movie Something’s Gotta Give in 2003. She’s now dating golfer Tiger Woods.
Kai first spoke publicly at a Republican Convention in July 2024, where she gave a speech in support of her Grandfather, President Trump.
The 17-year-old opened her speech by saying, “I’m speaking today to show the side of my grandpa that people don’t often see.”
Last November, she launched her own Youtube channel focusing on her golfing and general ‘day in the life’ posts. She currently has over 1million subscribers.
