SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – On Monday afternoon, the NCAA Division II Women’s Golf Committee announced that Augustana women’s golf qualified for the NCAA Central Regionals. This is set to begin on May 5 in Edmond, Oklahoma, at KickingBird Golf Course, hosted by Central Oklahoma. 

Fresh off a second-place finish in the NSIC Tournament Championship, the Vikings will shift its focus to the Central Regionals after it received the 10 seed. Minnesota State and Wayne State were among the teams from the NSIC to earn a bid. 

Augustana is ranked 65th in the country and 10th in the region with an average stroke count of 313.0 (adjusted) through 24 rounds of play. The Vikings have secured four wins and eight top 10 finishes in the 2024-25 season. 

Lanie Veenendall and Shannon McCormick are both ranked within the top 300 individual performers this season. Veenendall is nationally ranked 236th and 30th in the region, while McCormick is ranked 270th nationally and 34th in the region.
