History and Evolution

Bato de Luna’s story began with “Bahay na Bato,” a coastal rest house belonging to Dr. Edison and Dr. Purita Chan Noble. Mr. Kim initially decorated this house with his stone carvings, antique materials, and wood carvings. Opened to the public in 2014, it later evolved into “Kamay na Bato” (Stone Hand), incorporating an art gallery, murals, a souvenir shop, and a function hall. Finally, it transformed into the current Bato de Luna Art Gallery.

What to Expect

Visitors can expect a diverse collection of stone sculptures and murals. The gallery’s unique location and artistic style create a memorable experience. The gallery also includes a souvenir shop selling pebble-decorated pots and snacks. The entrance fee is a modest ₱50 per person (approximately US$1), with free admission for toddlers. Parking is free. The gallery is open daily from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM

Bato de Luna is situated in Nalvo Norte, Luna, La Union. It’s easily accessible by tricycle from nearby towns like San Juan. Visitors can combine their trip with visits to other attractions in the area, such as Namacpacan Church and Immuki Island.
