Perhaps that should read Northern Ireland as if you include Rep of Ireland there are going to be a few more feature.
Sunningdale Old is just the nicest place to play golf. Everything about the place is exvellent.
There are 4 courses along the line including Royal Birkdale…
My personal opinion is that Royal Birkdale is not the best out of the 4…
I'll leave it there, other than to say, don't allow the open to cloud your judgement 🤷🙂
Well at least No. 1 was correct, Royal Portrush should easily be in the top 5, overall not bad. I agree however if its Britian and Ireland, not a single course from the Republic… really! 😊
Personally I prefer parkland courses !
All of these courses lack trees!
I have one question and one question only, of those who did the ratings, how many actually paid the full visitor green fee on each of the courses in that 100 ? The reason I ask is, it's very hard to accept these ratings if those who are part of the ratings panel are given free golf, it lacks credibility if you understand my point.
I’d like you to do a feature on the cost of playing these and if you actually can.
Sorry but not impressed. How many of these courses cost less than £200 a round ? Obscene prices.
I love sunningdale being from surrey aswell we have the best heathland courses played the new once in a tournament hit it to like 3 ft on the 5th my most memorable shot in golf
Change the title please.
Got your free shirts girls and boys?
Loved this feature of the top 10 courses. Being from Northern Ireland ive had the privilige of playing Royal County Down and Royal Portrush. Beautiful courses and scenery to go along with your walk. Have played the courses in beautiful blue skies and sunshine and also in dark grey wet and very windy conditions.
I live about 20 miles away from RCD, had the privilege of playing there twice.
Highly recommend The Shimna Cafe across the road for a pre round Ulster Fry
From Australia, a 5 marker, 2 golf trips to the UK 1987 & 2005. Played all the open courses but 2. And played 5 of these.
Played Royal Dornoch , both Turnberry courses (£25 for the day in 87) . Played St. Andrews twice (£16 each round. 78 , 80).
Played Carnoustie in 2005, 60 years old had 78, birdied the first and parred 18. Royal Birkdale in 87 became my favourite course in the world.
Replaced by Waterville in Ireland in 2005.
What would be the combined green fees to play all ten in the summer?
