It's funny when people say it's in Tennessee when no one rides on the Tennessee side as all the curves on on the North Carolina side and the TN d1ckhead cops are always waiting right at the state line to give you a careless, wreckless, or speeding ticket. Also everyone stops at the stores in NC that are at the start of the road.
On the way back from my son’s baseball tournament, my wife fell asleep. It wasn’t much of a detour but was out of the way, and I desperately wanted to drive across the Tail of the Dragon. She woke. We fought like hell. I drove it anyway. Promised myself to ride it on my bike one day. Any small section of that road isn’t too special, but to have so much beautiful smooth curvy road for that kind of distance is awesome. May never get to ride it on a motorcycle, but, looking back on it, it was worth the argument to drive it in a car.
Sadly i never made it when i owed my bikes , definitely on my bucket list. After having a R6 and a R1 , would definitely prefer the little brother but they dont make them new anymore unfortunately
Nice to hear.
East TN doesn’t count unless you’re from NE TN.
