Kyle Phillips is a distinguished American golf course designer renowned for his ability to create courses that appear as though they’ve been part of the landscape for centuries. After earning a degree in landscape architecture from Kansas State University, he spent 16 years with Robert Trent Jones II, focusing on projects in Europe and the Caribbean. In 1997, Phillips founded his own firm, Kyle Phillips Golf Course Design, based in Granite Bay, California. His design philosophy emphasizes integrating natural features and strategic elements, drawing inspiration from classic links and heathland courses. Over his career, Phillips has designed or remodeled courses in more than 30 countries across five continents, including notable projects like Kingsbarns Golf Links in Scotland, Yas Links in Abu Dhabi, and The Grove near London. His work has earned acclaim for blending modern design with traditional aesthetics, enhancing the golfing experience worldwide.
