Gerard being in 8 pfa team of the years isn’t talk about enough when the other greats are In 2 or 3s.. the comparison of Gerrard v Scholes is crazy they played roughly same amount of pl games during similar time period and Gerrard has way more goals and assists even though Scholes was in the better squads snd had better strikers snd players around him so dunno why people like to make it that’s even a close comparison when Gerrard could literally do everything Scholes could do but better all Scholes has over him is the titles that he didn’t win on his own he was in a great team. Gerrard won games and trophies almost single-handedly for Liverpool at times. The Lampard Gerrard debate was always closer for me but again Gerrard is miles better in my opinion Lampard played over a 100 times more then Gerrard got 10 more assists and a more goals but again being in way better squads and Lampard always felt more of an attack focused player to where as Stevie could do it all play the 10 the 8 or the 6 or out wide if needed or as a second striker don’t think Lampard had that versatility about him and don’t think he or Scholes would of been able to do what Gerrard done in his squads to where as Gerrard would of been able to do what they were doing and better. It is very opinion based but I do think Gerrard and KDB are the two best central midfielders in the prem era, it’s now about who’s the best 6 or holding midfield player in the prem to make that ultimate premier league fantasy dream 3 man midfield

Gary and Keane still talking like Man U have some sort of divine right to be challenging for the league. They're not a top team anymore and haven't been for a while now. A 0-0 draw against city is objectively a good result for them. Man u pundits really need to adjust their expectations now. They are essentially where Liverpool were around 2010/11.

The reason why I disagree with Roy Keane on this one is for 2 reason because think about it, firstly United could of actually won the game, we had chances the players didn’t finish… secondly there were times last season that we were open and trying to score and getting absolutes torn apart by teams and they were criticising then so it’s actually mad. You can’t please these guys I’m sure if United won this game 2-0 they’d still find something to moan about.

I think my favorite bit of punditry from the Cabbage Patch Pundit was before the match, discussing De Bruyne, when she said he's at his best when he does things 'off the cuff'.
That'll be the same De Bruyne who's spent the last 9 years being coached and trained within an inch of his life under Pep Guardiola, a master tactician, in a system where he'd have your b*lls off if you so much as move a step out of formation. But yeah, he just does things off the cuff whenever he likes.
