Rory McIlroy’s daughter Poppy has brought the crowd to their feet after draining a 30-foot putt on the 9th green of Augusta during the Masters Par 3 tournament.

The four-year-old joined her father on the course for the traditional family day before the main event, alongside Shane Lowry and his family and stunned the crowd by gently rolling in the downhill putt.

Watched on by her dad, the heart-warming scene was posted on X (formerly Twitter) by the PGA and shows the pair of Irish golfers’ disbelieving reaction as the putt speeds up over the crest of a hill and makes a beeline straight for the hole before dropping to huge applause.

Poppy appeared slightly bemused by the attention, while Shane Lowry’s eight-year-old daughter, Iris, ran over to celebrate, lifting Poppy up in joy before she received a proud cuddle from her dad.
