Oakland County Parks’ five golf courses are scheduled to open for play on Tuesday, April 1, weather permitting.

“Golfers are always eager for the opening day,” Chief Park Operations and Maintenance – North District Tom Hughes said in a press release. “Oakland County Parks takes pride in providing an excellent experience for guests and maintaining beautiful, scenic golf courses that keep play affordable and available to everyone looking to golf close to home or try different golf destinations.”

Glen Oaks, Lyon Oaks, Springfield Oaks and White Lake Oaks golf courses are 18-hole courses with clubhouses and pro shops. Lyon Oaks also has a driving range. Red Oaks Golf Course has a 9-hole executive course.

White Lake Oaks Golf Course has electric golf bikes, as an alternative to a larger golf cart. Golf bags are mounted in the center of the bike, which has wide wheels for a balanced and controlled ride, according to the press release.
