I feel like with the new irons your gapage is better; you may not see the distance you want, but its less demanding to have to choke down a 6 or swing hard on a 7.
Weaker lofts on blades. Granted the gapping can be adjusted on any iron or wedge by adjusting lofts and lie.
Bro, I need some new iron so bad
I actually like the blade gapping better.
What are the lofts? Otherwise this video means 💩 🤷♂️
Are these stock yardages? Or did you hit them side by side? If not this video is a bit misleading
it's the traditional lofts
Does the 29° 7i go farther than the 36° blade?
Average pga tour 7 iron is 180😅 no way these are real yardages
u a lil slow and its ok
Consistent distance control
I hit a 9 iron 230+
Get something that gets your peak height higher with that 5i and 4i and you're chillin. As long as you can still hit some knockdowns you're right where you need to be with a few tweaks
Are the lofts the same? Also the gapping looks tighter.
First of all, are the lofts the same between the sets? Lot of vids online now have completely shattered the distance difference myth by actually comparing distances of clubs with equal lofts, as well as have revealed the lack of a difference in forgiveness. The main difference is feel. Also, you’re hitting into dense, moist air after a rain storm, the ball is not going to fly as far if you were comparing to numbers on a more clear day, especially on the longer shots. Blades for life!
Blades are weaker lofted, so yes, they go shorter. What you lack in distance you gain in control and shape (assuming the player has a good swing and technique)
S-3 and 241 combo set?
Are we trusting the numbers of the full swing?
How many shots taken with each club?
Blades PW-7, CB’s 6-4 works great for me. Gives you the control with your scoring clubs without sacrificing distance
Those 241's are gorgeous with that gold inlay
Only reason I see getting into a blade is if you have shot shaping ability. I can’t imagine I’d take more ability to shape a shot over a straighter ball … I like when I miss and it’s just a push or a little more draw.
I do a mixed set. Blades 8-GW and cavity’s 7-5 then I have my U505 driving iron 3 iron and a G430 4 hybrid
Compare loft vs loft otherwise the test means nothing.
spin control is everything with blades for me
All depends on what type of flight you’re looking for
Wow beautiful swing
