Every Wednesday around 30 members from Bolton Golf Club all pay a small fee, over and above their membership, to play in a friendly competition.
All the fees go to Bolton Hospice.
Last year the group presented a cheque to the Hospice for £2,500 which was gratefully received.
Andrew said: “The wind was so strong and blowing into our faces so I thought about the advice from our professional Matt Galley, ‘When it’s breezy- take it easy ‘ so took a much bigger club than usual, a 3 wood and went down the shaft and feathered it in.
“One bounce and in it went.
“And if you believe that you will believe anything.”
Well done Andrew!
