The LIV Golf event in Hong Kong, recognized by the Major Sports Events Committee (MSEC) and awarded “M” Mark status, is taking place over the next three days at the Fanling Golf Course starting Friday, attracting fans and travelers alike.

Spectators from Shenzhen arrived early to queue for entry, with some mentioning that they visit Hong Kong annually and chose to attend on a Friday to avoid the weekend crowds.

Additionally, a mainland tourist, who is a member of a golf team at a university in the United States, expressed his support for last year’s US Open champion, Bryson DeChambeau.

Local residents also shared their enthusiasm, noting that the event is a major highlight in Hong Kong’s golfing calendar, attracting top international players and numerous tourists.

Furthermore, they hope that government policies will continue to support the emerging young golfers in the region.

Food enthusiasts can explore a unique culinary adventure at “Feast” in the tournament Fan Village. This event highlights Hong Kong’s vibrant international food scene, featuring everything from street food to gourmet dishes prepared by renowned chefs and iconic local eateries.

Central to the festivities are live cooking shows by top Hong Kong chefs, held at the Fan Village stage at 11am and 2pm daily. The first 50 attendees at each demonstration will enjoy a sample of the showcased dish.

The event boasts a lineup of distinguished chefs including Michelin-starred Ricardo Chaneton of Mono, known for his fusion of French techniques with Venezuelan flavors, and Sandy Keung, a self-taught chef known for her sustainable seafood at Table. Completing the lineup is Asher Goldstein of Francis, who offers Israeli dishes with Mediterranean and North African twists.
