Comparison and in depth review of the Ping golf irons available in 2025. This includes the Ping G440, Ping G730, Ping i530, Ping i230, Ping Blueprint S and Ping Blueprint T. Thomas Campbell discusses the static loft of these irons and finds out which iron goes longer, straighter, higher and is more forgiving or more workable.
You will find out ball speed, launch angle, spin rate, dispersion, and trajectory while comparing all the different iron models.
Testing was done with the same golf shaft will all iron models and the same golf ball the Titleist Pro V1x

Gotta try and see if they can dethrone my G410s interested in the i530.
Excellent demonstration of the differences. Including slower swing speed should be a defacto on any club review from anyone … good on you for doing so.
Keep the videos coming Thomas!
something changed with the settings on your mic with these last 2 videos. Your video you did with the cobra fit hosel sounded great. you gotta check your settings.
Thomas please get better audio, it makes you sound like a robot from a really bad 1950s film.
I am a big Ping fan. I love my i210s, they are not leaving my bag until the grooves wear out, or my body does whichever comes first! I know the i230s should be a direct replacement but in my hands spun a little less than my i210 – I prefer the extra spin.
Blueprint S is one of the best looking irons over the last 12 months that I could play (Wilson Staff CB would be my other choice for beauty).
For me G730 was the surprise of the test. Enough spin, more than the G440 and i530. Really good descent angle even with a slower swing speed. IMO it was a better club than the G440
Hi Thomas like your videos, both the pace and explanation and the no nonsense take you have, one thing, your mike is very hard, mechanic voice, and that makes it somewhat tedious to listen for longer times, it’s as if you are speaking like you have your phone in your pocket.
Would highly recommend the i230s. For a microslot iron like T100s that come in “retro” and “power spec,” they really fit a very wide range of handicaps
I just ordered some blueprint S’s but your video is making me worry they’re going to be too spinny still..
I’m going from p7MBs which I loved but would tend to dig a groove or two too much so I went with something with more bounce.
In the fitting, my spin was around 6500-6700 for my 7i. 93-95mph swing, -5 AOA, 17-18° launch and 49-50° descent. I figured the extra forgiveness versus the MBs wouldn’t hurt either as I occasionally catch the toe.
Not sure watching this with your swing speed is applicable.
