A new entertainment venue providing visitors with a “cutting-edge golf haven” is planning to open in Nottingham soon. The Bunker, a mix between an indoor golf simulator and a bar, is hoping to open a Nottingham branch at 4 Longden Street, Sneinton.

The leisure facility will have “quality high tech” gaming equipment, providing five purpose-built bays for indoor golf, as well as interactive darts. The bays will include a hitting mat made of artificial grass, a TrackMan golf simulator, which provides detailed data on parameters such as ball speed, a PC, a projector and an impact screen.

This will create “a new and accessible indoor golfing experience for golf enthusiasts or just family entertainment,” the business said in a licensing document submitted to Nottingham City Council this month. The venue will open its doors in April according to a Facebook post made by the business, which already has a branch in Heanor, Derbyshire.

A licensing application has also been made for the business to supply alcohol on the premises. The venue will be open between 10am and midnight every day according to the document.

The Bunker’s Heanor branch has received great reviews from visitors. A Facebook review written by Cameron Alice reads: “Lovely staff, great atmosphere, great pint! Will continue coming back, made to feel very welcome always!”

Ashley Leary also wrote a review and said: “Fantastic space, plenty of room for mingling (seating or standing), great bar and there’s space for a band/singer. Can’t recommend enough if you’re looking for a venue.”

According to the business’ website, its prices for the Heanor venue start at £12.50 for an off-peak 55-minute session.
