  1. Creativity and fun have been taken right out of the game. Guys like Walter Hagen or Champagne Tony Lema would have no place in the game today, and we are the poorer for it. I remember watching Chi Chi Rodriguez hit a driver out of a fairway bunker on the 18th in a senior tournament – a big, low sweeping slice that ran probably 40 yards on its way to the middle of the green. That was the last truly creative shot I ever saw on television. The end of an era.
