I play T-150s like Pete and my 4 iron carry is around 210-215. I just added a TSR2 7 wood for my 223-230 carry shots. I went to the range yesterday and my first shots didn't disappoint.
This editing & coaching is mind blowing! Can’t do anything but applaud what you’re doing Pete!
Any good recommendations for driving irons? Thinking of a Srixon
I love my 7 wood. Great to stop shots in to really long par 3’s. Dig a ball out the rough when sitting down, or firing in to a par 5 after a bombed drive. Most versatile club in my bag I think.
Hey Pete how was the visit to TPI? Yep, still jealous.
Peter Finch …the legend. I am terrible with my 3 wood but great with my 4 hybrid. Just got a cobra 2 hybrid this week. Hoping. It performs well.
Love your video Pete! Ohio here and I played a couple times last week and it was in the 30’s lol
Question- I’m team Titleist and my GT3 hits bombs, and my GT2 3 & 5 hit well too but the difference in distance is so so minimal that it had me very confused.
They were both going the same distance, but is cold 30degree weather the culprit?
Wondering if I should not look too much into it till more testing in the Spring.
Debating on swapping the shorter of the 2 for a driving iron. 5hdcp here and hybrids are just finicky for me. I have one but confidence level is actually higher with a utility iron.
Anyway, I cranked my 5 wood up to a 6 wood 20 degree loft which helped I guess. I say I guess cause it definitely went higher but still almost went as far as my 3 wood!
Top end of my bag between 5 iron and Driver is a very weird spot in my bag 🤦♂️
ever wondered why the 2 iron says ‘forget’ on the side of the hosel?
I seriously need this. I'm literally in a huge conundrum at the top end of my bag. I play off a 38 handicap myself and average probably about 110 for 18. Recently, I started to change up my swing to gain some more ball speed and right now, I'd say my average ball speed is in the 140's where before it was in the 110's a few weeks ago. I went to the driving range and chipping area of my local links course and did 2 things. 1 was to put a new club in my bag (65 C3I if anyone's wondering. Not exactly a miracle club for me as a high handicap golfer but if I'm faced with a chip around the green with next to no green, this club is literally god.)
2 was to practice my new faster swing on my clubs. What I found is all my clubs but 2, I could hit well. I hit my irons well and I hit my hybrids well. I have a 3 and 5 wood and those are the two clubs I couldn't hit to save my life. Like Pete said, I might need to look into a 7 wood which is on my radar but I play Links golf. Not the easiest conditions to play 7 wood. So for me, I love hybrids. I'm thinking a hybrid with a 7 wood in as backup. But I do like hitting irons. Never tried a driving iron but I might have to.
How many pros are even carrying 1 or 2 irons? Not many.
Can we hang out? That’s what everyone wants to know 😂
Absolutely AWESOME video mate….well done!
Love those side by side comparisons 🥰🥰
cough cough no you f..king didn't. Lol
The American flag on the back all year this year!!
LFG!
An outro that is just one more reminder that Pete would be my best friend #parasocialrelationships
Love all the content lately
Whichever I can hit best
My bag has 3, 5, & 7 woods and 5 & 6 hybrids and I only change that for hurricane winds. Then the 7 wood comes out and a 4 hybrid takes it's place because that 7 wood is a bit hard to hit low.
I always liked my long irons but the hybrids and woods are simply easier to hit well and they're far easier to hold a green with.
Thanks for this video, I'm actually thinking about switching my 4 hybrid for a 7 wood
Its kind of crazy because I have both a hybrid and a UT iron in the bag. I play windy courses often. I just dont have a 4 iron in the bag.
7 wood has saved my life….being a 💩 player and all that 😅😅
Shouldn't this say includes "This includes paid for presentation"? I'd hate to see the videos descending into what Good Good did when they first signed with Calloway. Just a thought 👌
Awesome vid Pete. I've been watching for 10 years and you've clearly levelled up since partnering with Titleist. Good move,
Great video. I have a 3 hybrid which I carry around 190yards, very good for me as I only hit driver 220. Problem is I can’t get that nice hybrid high shot it comes out like a bullet stinger every time which is useless on the links course I play, any thoughts on this please I think maybe I’m not hitting down enough? Thanks
Bought a cheap 5 wood 18 months ago (wilson d9) and it's an absolute weapon. Great off the tee if the driver is misbehaving and so easy to launch off the fairways. Been my go to club ever since.
