  1. Journilist dont give a shit, and they will lie and doe as they are told by thr government as anyway, your right.

  2. A journalist spends their life asking about and judging other people, without allowing insight in to theirs . Shallow profession.

  3. As the years go on you can see how much mvg is sick of the media. Every single interview it seems like he dont wanna be there, which is fair enough they ask the stupidest questions.

  4. I wasn’t really a Fan of MVG Before the Darts Final, But he’s grown on me and I now see him as actually a very Decent and Genuinely Nice Guy! He’s got Littlers back and it’s really nice to see him stick up for not just one of his ‘Competitors’ but a 17 Year old Lad with an Amazing Talent and SO much to bring to the sport, He’s got everyone talking about ‘The Darts’ 🎯 Well done Gentleman, and Much respect to MVG, Really changed me from Not really fussed for him to admiring the guy and what he says! If LL isn’t in a competition and MVG is, He’ll Now be my 2nd Favourite!! 💪🏼👍🏻

  5. Unfortunately it comes with the job. If he really wants to be a darts sensation that's what hes got to deal with. The reason journalists do it is because the fans will keep eating it up. So there you go

  6. Well said MVG! UK media is absolute trash…. They create so much pressure and tension on not just Luke but any UK sporting athletes, I genuine believe they have a profound effect on our ability to perform. Look at our football achievements… I think we would have been in far better places without them targeting several individuals just to claim a story… IMO.

  7. Well said, let the boy enjoy his darts and success , allow him to grow up at the right pace so he will learn to handle it , he has the potential to be a darts legend.

  8. MVG was a great player from the age of 17 and knows the pressure that fame brings at such a young age. He's one of the few people that has been through what Luke is now experiencing, so his opinions should be respected. How can anyone else know how Luke is feeling.

  9. To be fair he puts himself in them situations. He attends every event, getting pictures with every famous person he can. He brings the attention on himself it’s not like he’s a victim to the press. Don’t be so naive 🙄

  10. This is a Dutch sentiment. Michael van Gerwen and Max Verstappen are alike – they don't hesitate to tell journalists the raw deal.

  11. Well said M.
I just hope the gutter press do actually leave the lad alone otherwise it could really REALLY affect him – in all the wrong ways . Why oh why do morons have to interfere . 🎯

  12. MGV knows better than most how the media work and how the public love you one day then absolutely hate you the next day, this is the nature of professional sport and MGV he gone through it many times in his unbelievable career🥇🎯🏆🎯🏆🎯🏆

This is the "Catch 22" when it comes to fame,,,most celebrities at the start of their careers will do just about anything to get noticed and get interviews as they desperately want the public to notice them,BUT it makes me laugh when fame does actually come along many of them start complaining about lack of privacy and how the press and the public annoying them 🤷. Then once they are not winning anymore or as much, then those same media people that were constantly kissing his ass for interviews and content now totally ignored them and we all know how fast the public can turn from loving you to hating you,I'm not sure how the PDC goes about protecting or educating its players on how to deal with the trappings of fame but I would like to think a very successful company worth Hundreds of millions of dollars like match room sport does the right thing for its players for life after their sporting life

THAT IS THE NATURE OF THE BEAST!

Be careful what you wish for because you might just get it!!
