At this point, the Mavs won the trade on the court (AD impacts both ends of the court at an all-time great level, he fits what they are doing better, and he’s been healthier the past season and a half, etc.) and the Lakers won the trade off the court (media, merchandise, long term future of the franchise, etc.).
Mavs fans have every right to be livid! But acting like this is a worse trade than a DPOY for draft picks is insane.
Just because it’s arguably the most shocking trade ever doesn’t make it an imbalanced deal.
