Superb video. I am an eight handicapper who played baseball in college. The weight shift is instinctual in throwing and hitting, but for some reason, I have always struggled with the weight shift in golf. One of the aspects I rarely see covered in weight shift videos is how to handle your arms and hand package. For those of us who have not shifted our weight, we have compensated with movements from our arms and our hands. It would be nice to know how to handle arms and hands with this new weight shift technique. Thank you so much for your contribution to golf…. You are an excellent communicator.
Awesome video, thank you…I’m buying that board 😅😅😅
I do this pretty decently with irons. Where i struggle is with driver , shifting weight forward and still hitting up on the ball.
Great video!
Great concise and easy to understand instruction. Thanks!
It's difficult for me because as you say – it's a very subtle move. I can occasionally pull it off and it certainly does result in a very solid ball strike. Thank you.
The first move (shift) to the right is fairly small. So why not just keep the weight on the left the whole time, as that is where you start from ánd want to end at?
One thing that really was a light bulb moment for me was when I started my transfer by squashing my trail foot and then moving off it like a speed skater.
The drill is genius, can be done at home to build memory
I've been wandering from YouTube video to YouTube video trying to get this principal from my brain into my body, and this is far and away the most simple and illustrative video I've seen on the topic you sir are a godsend! Finally striking the ball well effortlessly and consistently!
This is simple move at the beginning really gave me the feeling I have been searching for. Will be going back to working on this. If you are looking for video ideas – would love to see how to make this work with the driver . You are one of the best on YT by far.
I need to work on this. I get my weight forward but not early enough. Thanks for the advice!
after you initiate downswing and your weight is ahead, does it feel like you should be pushing your lead foot forward on the ground and snapping your lead leg?
Always excellent tuition. Thank you. Manifesting you more zeros on your subs.
Is this movement able to be used for hybrid / wood / driver? Or this is only specific movement for iron?
I find that if I ensure, in the backswing, that my right hip rotates back and slightly towards the target, I automatically accomplish what you are advocating here.
when Matsuyama pauses in his backswing is that when he is putting most of his weight on his left foot ? thank you !
Super solid lesson dude.
And Good job being pro active on potential conflict and why.
Thank you.
Great lesson. Much improvement when i practised it
Brilliantly done, Jonathan. I’m sharing this with my buddies. LOVE IT!!!
This is one of the best explanations of weight shift I’ve ever seen. Thank you for this video. To those who critique you, I say to them if you’re that good you think you should be critiquing him. Maybe you should have your own YouTube channel.
Great video JM! Unfortunately, most people either have a bad grip or poor structure during and at the top of the backswing which doesn’t allow them to move efficiently as you so effectively outlined 😢 #dominoeffect
Too much talking boring
Excellent description and instruction. Very clearly explained, and maybe the best I have seen on YouTube! I have not been able to find the link for the specific weight shift board that you are using. Can you provide any further details please?
Finally I cans how the weight shift comes about,I have asked forever on how you shift now I SEE WHAT HAS TO TAKE PLACE.THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO.
Can you make the same kind of video for driver weight shift or is it the same? What are the differences?
Great video and nice progression. This has been a struggle for me and now have a better understanding of the sequence.
