Hole Nos. 15 and 16 | Hallowed Grounds: The Story of Augusta National

For nearly a century, Nos. 15 and 16 at Augusta National have magically set the stage for golf’s most enduring and iconic moments. Tucked away beyond Amen Corner — this Par-5-Par-3 pairing is known for generating excitement and courageous play. And the close proximity of the holes result in a unique song-and-dance between the players and patrons, with roars created that echo throughout the course.

Since 1934, the Masters Tournament has been home to some of golf’s greatest moments. Amidst blooming azaleas, towering pines and flowering dogwoods, the first full week of April ushers in a stage unique to golf and to sport. Over four days and 72 holes, the smallest field in major championship golf competes for a chance to capture the Green Jacket and a place in Masters history.

  1. Without Verne Lundquist on the mic at 16 who does everyone think will be calling both the 15th and 16th holes at this year's Masters

  2. I saw video of Tiger talking with his friends about Augusta. He said that you ONLY get 1 jacket, no matter how many times you win!

  3. I’ve prayed several things a night before going to bed:
-The health of my family and growth of my children
-To become a better person as much as possible and be shown something new everyday
-And yes, the final being to be able to one day see Augusta and its beauty with my very own eyes.

I’m 40 so one can only hope and in my instance. Pray

  4. I’m going to witness this in 2025. I’ve watched this tournament on tv for 41 years and finally from the uk I’m going. I can’t wait it’s my holiday of a lifetime. This video brings back all the memories. Especially Jack winning.
