Rory McIlroy did not waste his time when it came to biting back.
The four-time major champion responded with a cheeky message after social media star Robby Berger botched their first-ever interaction.

The frontman for Bob Does Sports has become golfing royalty himself in recent years, having built nearly one million subscribers on YouTube.
Berger and his co-hosts are known for creating entertaining videos around various golf challenges that often feature celebrity guest appearances.
On Wednesday, he ran into four-time major champion McIlroy at a gas station in Florida, and hit him with a proposition.
“I saw him and immediately my brain just went to, ‘I’m going to get him on Bob Does Sports,'” Berger began, recalling the chance meeting.
“Never occurred to me that maybe this guy has no f***ing idea what Bob Does Sports is. He probably doesn’t have time to watch three clowns see how many donuts they can eat in nine holes.
“I just rolled down the window and said, ‘Hey Rory, would love to have you on the show sometime.'”
Unfortunately for Berger, despite being one of the most successful golf influencers out there, it turns out McIlroy has never heard of him or the channel.
And if that wasn’t tough enough news to take, his final words to the World No.3 might well have ended any future chance of him appearing on Bob Does Sports.
“I didn’t really know where to go from there… All I said was, ‘Thanks for all you do for YouTube Rory’. Meant to say golf, said YouTube,” Berger added.
“Bet your bottom dollar that you’ll never see Rory McIlroy on the show… That was a miserable interaction.”

Unsurprisingly, Berger’s recount of the awkward meeting quickly went viral, with nearly two million people watching the reel he shared on Instagram.
And even McIlroy himself took the time to leave a cheeky comment on the post.
“Can confirm that it was not your best,” the Northern Irishman wrote.
“The Porsche you were driving was nice. Looks like YouTube pays well…”
Perhaps all is not lost, then.
Maybe one day we’ll see McIlroy on the course alongside Berger and co.

And he wouldn’t be the first athlete to appear on Bob Does Sports.
Last year, the channel filmed with US soccer star Christian Pulisic, who joined them to go water skiing and play a round of golf.
Paige Spiranac, former NFL quarterback Johnny Manziel and PGA Tour star Keegan Bradley have also appeared in videos.
