Regardless of the reason we did lose…and I agree we shouldn't have…and although it's heartbreaking for Detroit, letting go of our two coordinators will not break this team… we'll be just fine…but I wonder how many others we are going to lose off our coaching staff? And did Ben feel pressured to leave by Campbell who was saying weeks ago how if Ben and Aaron didn't get a coaching opportunity it would have been in his mind "ridiculous"? Shouldn't it have been a choice all along? If, IF, both Ben and Aaron had wanted to stay, Campbell probably never should have even brought it up to the media and his coordinators… Detroit should have tried to retain both for at least one more year cause they failed…the goal from the start was a SB, wasn't it?! They failed to deliver… point blank…
Why would our players play as well for different coordinators if they think they are going to be gone soon too as the Lions team becomes a grooming place for more head coaching jobs? How will Detroit deal with this cancer to its culture?

I thought it was just me but as a diehard Lions fan, it felt like we throwed that game. It’s good to know I’m not crazy.
Let’s just call like we see it man. Those two coordinators sold us out for those job offers that was handed to them and that’s the reason why we’re not there to advance to the next round and you can blame that on the GM for allowing it to happen too because she should’ve made sure that they didn’t get those job offers so close to time for us to advance towards the championship to make it to the Super Bowl Air by car like you see it not that it was some bedding going on somebody paid them two guys off to do that, including the refs when Jared golf

I saw it and I can’t believe they didn’t do it. The whole game was set up by three refs man and it seems to be happening every time we get close to Super Bowl timing and they know that we’re about to win those games they shut us down.
Don't forget that coordinatirs can't interview for jobs while their team is in it..and now he gone
Wrong, wrong, wrong. Goff is the reason for the loss. The same reason the Rams moved on from him. He can not come through in the biggest games. He is not a first string QB in the NFL. He does not have the skill set to be first string. Ben Johnson has been carrying him with his play calling since he became the OC in Detroit. Goff does not check down properly on receivers. He telegraphs every pass from 100 miles away. He has horrible pocket awareness. His arm strength just absolutely sucks. He does not adjust well to being rattled. All of these fundamental football situations he is bad at.
What you saw last night was desperate play calling because Goff had checked out of the game early and could not be counted on to come through.
I agree that Gibbs was carrying the offense and doing all he could. But you can only go to that well so many times. When your general on the field checks out, the battle is not going to go well for that group.
Next season will prove my point. With Ben Johnson gone, Goff will be super exposed to his deficiencies in quarterbacking, and Detroit will have no choice but to move on from him. The best thing that could happen for Detroit now and their immediate future is to have Ben Johnson take Goff with him wherever he ends up.
Even if Detroit has to give up a draft pick to move him out because of his ridiculous contract. Goff is the king of the 5 yard conversions, and Johnson knew that was his strength.
Otherwise, he is a choke artist in all other aspects of quarterbacking.
And Campbell needs to stop the BS of its all my fault in the after game pressers. I called that he would do that by halftime because he thinks that makes him look like an upstanding coach.
He needs to be a head coach and call these guys out on their bull$hit. Not act like a defense lawyer at a hearing. That's old already. Move on and quickly fill these gaps because Detroit has a great team still for one or two more seasons, then key players will move on. Goff is not a key player he can catch a bus out of town tomorrow, and the Lions will be a better team. He is and has been the weakest link since arriving in Detroit.
Many QBs can fill his shoes with those players around them.
You're a good regular season team, unproven in the playoffs, simple as that.
Lions' defensive unit was incomplete with so many injuries. And, please stop saying let's call a spade a spade. It's pissing me off. You've said it twice now. It's not a good look especially when you follow it up with Aaron Glenn's name.
