  1. Played noodle for years when I started. Long n soft was my go to. Since I've gotten better n switched to the tp5x but Noodles are a great ball.

  2. You're a fake Yorkshireman! You left behind a ball that was only a few yards away…unless you could see that it was a Dunlop 65? 😁

  3. Mizuno RB566, great winter ball, and only £16 per doz. or Callaway Hex, 24 balls £34 both recognised brands and on Amazon, very good balls. Unfortunately few people buy from pro shops now, as online is so much better from a value point of view, in my area golf courses are losing their pro shops, as there isnt a living for PGA pros now. Fittings are done at specialist centres, apparel and balls on line, used equipment, golf clubs for cash and ebay, the PGA pros are squeezed out.

  4. Started playing golf a year ago and played about 100 rounds in 2024. (totally fell in love) I first played Pro V1 or TP5 but soon realized that would get expensive fast. Cause its a fact that you loose many balls as a beginner. So i switched to Noodle Long And Soft. Its my go to ball atm and at my current Hcp of 17 I dont think its the ball holding me back. So I will keep them (for a few holes 😅).

  5. Interesting 🤷 better then buying crap refurbished lake balls guys 👍👍👍 if your a high handicapper or beginner go for these 👍

  6. Amazon, in the States, currently lists Noodle Long & Soft for $27.99 for 24 pk. Quite the value!

  7. If it says Taylor Made on the box it isn't much of a secret.
TM just want a piece of the budget ball market as Titleist do with Pinnacle.

  8. Great review James, Personally I use cheaper golf balls (Kirkland, Pinnicle Rush, etc) on the holes I know are more susceptible to getting lost due to hazards and then I switch to the higher end balls on the holes where I can free wheel. Yes I know it's against the rules but the "Rules" don't put their bank card into the debit machine to go buy me a new dozen.

  9. I had no idea Taylormade made the noodle. Great review James and it doesn't look like a bad ball to use at all. Premium balls definitely carry a Premium price so not a bad alternative. God Bless brother

  10. great video James,
ive hit a few noodles’s at the range and always seemed okay but never knew they were by taylormade

  11. Taylormade Distance Balls are Everywhere here in Alabama USA. Wal-Mart Golf is big on budget balls. Go there

  12. I used to love playing the Noodle! While it is clear that TaylorMade makes it on amazon, the noodle is not included on TaylorMade's website. So it is indeed a brand they do not want to associate themselves with, and would rather you purchase the Distance+ for just a few bucks more.

  13. Titleist/Pinnacle/Cobra, Callaway/Spalding/Top Flight(sold to Dicks's?)/Ben Hogan, Taylormade/Dunlop?/Noodle/Adams, Srixon/XXIO/Cleveland/Dunlop?. Not sure if this is the most current information as these companies are bought and sold, then resold frequently. The point is that the big brands have lesser brands to try and capture a larger share of the overall market for the same reason that Titleist doesn't only make the Pro V1. Each ball in the line is trying to cover its own share of the market. If you are buying the AVX there is a reason why you are not buying the ProV1.

  14. Noodle balls have been on the market for years and years. TaylorMade kept the brand name because it is well recognized and appears to have sold in a great enough volume that it made Maxfli profit. If it had been more successful in the marketplace, TM might well have bought the name to kill it, to remove competition from TMs low end ball ranges.
Of course, if Maxfli had been more profitable overall, it would not have been sold to TaylorMade, so there's that.

  15. Noodle long and soft are one of my favorite balls, they get up in the air really easy, feel great, and they aren’t expensive.

  16. Great video!! I was introduced to Spalding SD Tour X a year ago and they are a super cheap, 3 piece urethane ball that I really enjoy for a budget ball. Just a suggestion for possible review. Thanks again

  17. Over here Noodle balls have been a round for quite awhile, other than Amazon you can get the at large retail stores like Walmart, a well as the sporting goods mega stores like Dicks or Golf Galaxy. Have you tried the Snell 2.0 ball it’s $22 a dozen two piece with urethan cover?

  18. I just buy Pro V 1’s used from a guy in town. I look at the details to make sure they are the latest and scuff free. Cheapest balls ever!

  19. Around here you can sometimes get noodle balls for $30 CAD for 30 balls. Great deal if you like a budget ball that doesn't suck out loud. Damn man that wedge looks SO GOOD!

  20. Honestly, i play golf with cheaper Callaway golf balls (Supersoft) and prefer them over the more expensive balls in their lineup

  21. Noodles have been around for as long as I can remember in Canada and always the cheapest on the shelf. They are very soft at i believe a 30 or 40 compression and it lives up to the name of long and soft like a noodle. These are the best for grip it and rip it scrambles, or for high handicappers to use daily

  22. I was just reading an article on my golf spy or golf digest and the person who wrote the article was saying to play a firmer ball in the winter. Which was the opposite of what I did last winter and the start of this winter. I usually play chrome tour or pro v1 but recently switched to the new TP5. This winter I started playing with the chrome soft and then the maxfli soft fli I think. What’s your thoughts?

  23. Would love to see a review of the Callaway supersoft Max. Website says its oversized and I randomly find a couple in our clubs range ball buckets and certainly notice that is true. Wonder what the difference is in performance, as it says its for slower swing speeds, but when I hit them (pretty high swing speed) they feel pure and I don't feel like I miss the middle of the face ever due to that size. Cheers James.

  24. Noodles are great balls…

I typically play the TP5, ProV1 or Chrome Soft…. But I find a lot of Noodles at a local course & play them from time to time & always play them very very well.

Last week I found one & the group I was with was laughing at it, I said they’re actually great balls. They kind of laughed then said, “tee it up, Mr. woods, let’s see what you can do with it…”

I slapped the ball 345 yds. straight down the narrow fairway WITH MY SMOKE MINI DRIVER! Eagled the hole. Shut them TF up really quick.

Played that ball the rest of the course & finished 4 under.

    🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

  25. Once I left my local golf course and traveled to the busy intersection near the highway intersection. I saw a golf ball in the middle of the interchange. I pulled over and picked it up. When I got got home I noticed it was a Taylormade XP model. I had never heard of it before and thought I had found a secret experimental model. I showed it to my friends on the next round and told them I was going to shoot the lowest score of the day with it. After I sliced it into the woods off the first tee, my friends laughed and told me that’s it was the Costco labeled Taylormade golf ball.
    So much for my theory.

  26. Hello, what they’re doing James is dipping into a lower priced market that many recreational golfers are in. Makes sense. Offer a premium ball for those that want it and a low budget ball that seemed to perform pretty well. Great business model!
