Hey guys in today’s lesson video I will demonstrate how to use the ground correctly to create effortless speed and power in your golf swing! Follow these steps and remember if we want to clear our hips and maintain our spine angle we have to kick our trail leg back.

  1. I got slammed by a few people from your last video where I suggested something that was needed. This video is verification that you were understanding my point. Thanks
    😊

  2. Can you talk more about the grip and release? Your impact looks powerful and I can't seem to set my hands well through impact.

  3. Kudos to you for listening to the comments and putting up a few more metrics to silence the haters, my guess was you were swinging in the low 90s with a 7 iron as that is generally what is required to carry a 7 iron 190 and since you aren't hitting on a green you'll get a bunch of roll. Lastly, lows 90s on a TM is going to read mid 90s on a quad due to how the 2 measure swing speed differently for those who might read my comment. The only thing left they may harp on, and you can't please everyone, is what is the loft of that 7 iron as 1.49 smash with a 7 iron is a lot even with a very leaned shaft.

To your comment on how to fix the lighting, it's counter intuitive but the camera is going to try and make everything as bright as possible and with a very bright image from a projector it's struggling with making everything else bright without not making the screen bright/washed out. First thing you can do is lower the overall lighting in the studio so that it's dim for you in real life. Camera should boost the iso and/or exposure to brighten both up and it may not look as washed out. Hope that helps.

  4. Good illustration. As I said in a former comment, the sequencing of the body segments is key. By pushing back with the trail leg, you are keeping the shaft moving on plane while allowing the shoulders to stay closed to the hips until just a fraction before the release which is how you drive the power through the ball and get compression, as long as the arms keep falling behind the turn until the release is ready to happen. This is how the building acceleration of the club happens, by keeping the segments adding to the increasing speed around the curve of the arc while keeping the club on plane and retaining much of the wrist and trail arm angles to the latest possible moment. This is what puts the "less" in effortless. Cheers.
