Thanks Rick, another good video! These new Ping Drivers look ALOT like their previous 'G' series model (g400 maybe?), with the blue colouring… Could we maybe see a comparison between the 2? Interesting to see if the new driver posts better numbers, on the same day, with the same guy swinging the club? (it should do with all the new tech by now, right? And for the price!!!)
Hi Rick, not sure if this has been asked already, but you’ve recently reviewed all the latest drivers individually. Could you do a short video comparing the best one from each brand against each other?
in over 30 years of golf I have often played with Ping drivers. They are drivers that never disappoint, but among the many models I have played with, I believe that only a few are truly iconic. In recent years the G400 has seemed amazing to me as the G425 (not a great sound, but unsurpassed performance) and finally the G430 10K. All the others have seemed to me to be substantially non-iconic drivers. Very high-performance, but not as good as the models I have indicated. basically, I believe that a super discounted G425 can give you the same satisfaction as a new G440
Every single driver brand and model Rick has tested in the last 2 years (possibly longer) has performed the same.
Looking at the comments, most have caught on to the driver release scam. My 2022 Cobra LTDx LS goes as far, looks as good, feels good.

Honestly, I'm a bit tired of listening to online guys yap on and on about how a Driver sounds, as if it means anything. Performance is ALL that matters, period. With that said, performance hasn't significantly changed in 15 years. There I said it. Humph.

I think of new driver releases lile new cars. 2024 vs 2025 car models usually aren't much different from year to year, but if you're in the market for a car that year your ears perk up. And similarly, most people dont buy a new car every year haha. I love my G430 Max10K so ill be using that until the turbulators fall off 😂 But still fun to see what's out there
Will the 440 10k max come out next year? That would be annoying AF….

just buy a driver with weight adjustments-end of driver fitting-even shaft doesn't make that much of a difference unless you swing 130+
Bought a new driver for the first time ever last year. Really wanted to like the ping driver but I didn't like it's feel. Went with the callaway ai smoke and never looked back.
Biggest scam in golf right now is the prices on drivers…same numbers, same looks, but higher prices for same numbers the last 5 years 😂
Does the reduced weight in the hosel sleeve mean that past Ping sleeves won’t fit in the 440s?

Hey Rick, hopefully you see this but I wanted to suggest that you could possibly review the Mbu Tr3 golf balls from Renegade Golf. Not sure how familiar you are with the brand but it’s a black owned golf brand out of Atlanta, GA. I think it would be really cool to maybe just check it online if not wanting to do a legit review.
If you don't have $500 to piss away and you don't care what the dbags at your golf club think about your bag then just play the last few models because you're not gaining yardage its all crap. When golf club companies get alien tech and produce new metals then I'll buy a new driver.

Cheapest looking driver ping have ever made
These new G440 remind me some of the G series with the blue. Personally I'm still using my G410 LST and love it!… it remains my fav' look with the red and head-cover. Loud tho'', sounds like a gunshot..

Im excited to look at paradym drivers from callaway. The best part of new driver releases is knowing you get get the 2 year old model for half price and essentially not miss a beat.
My Ping 410 LST went a tad longer than my replacement 425 LST (I cracked the crown on the 410). My ball speeds have decreased over the years (from low 160s to mid-150s) but using the same launch monitor Rick does I'm still carrying good drives 270-285. Got one out to 292 the other day, rolled out to 317. His club speed of 110 is about 6 MPH better than me so with this club he should be getting the longer ones out there much longer than 303-ish. I wasn't impressed with the 430 driver and it's not looking like this 440 is any better. Maybe dispersion, but I doubt it.
Here is what I don’t understand…no one complains when BMW releases a new M3 every year that is exactly the same and then like every 5ish years they make a more material change, but when Taylormade or Ping do it they lose their minds 😂
Rick, be great if we could see a visual of where you strike the ball on the face in these review shots, like what Rory/Grant did in their video. Keep up the great work
Can golf manufacturers give up on yearly releases and focus on making releases when they have considerable upgrades?
New ping fail: needs more turbolators, wings, and a spoiler off the back. So ugly to look down at.
For £575, not making the slightest distance improvement although dispersion is better with one, I can't see a reason to change drivers especially at the price. All the talk of the colour is only so that your mates know that you were daft enough to fork out that money for a ping 2025 model. Not for me thanks. Good to see you hitting it well though. 👏👏

Does looks effect the performance of the clubs? Nope, so what does it matter. Why do so many people take looks into performance when rating clubs (or anything actually)?
These videos mean fuck all, give them to some randoms down the driving range and see what the difference is for a normal golf player!

Hi Rick just a suggestion. Do you have the capability of showing data which includes face strike and smash factor after each shot? it doesn't have to be on the screen long perhaps 2 seconds and if the viewers were interested they could just pause and then proceed on with the video. I believe his would help viewers to determine the quality of strike versus dispersion and distance. Thanks and keep up the great work. ☮

Quick summary. Today’s driver is exactly the same as the one you have in your bag unless you’re on tour.
