  1. Just a thought. Right now the majors and the Ryder cup, etc. are still really big deals. However, if more and more young players go to LIV, and thus can’t play in majors, etc….well, are the majors REALLY going to be with the best in the world, or the best that aren’t playing on LIV? The PGA really screwed this up.

  2. "Professional" golf exists because of the money. Palmer/Nicklaus et al played the game because it was their job. They did it to get paid. They worked hard in-hand w/ the media to grow the game so they'd get paid more. If $ wasn't the key factor, everybody would play amateur events. In our society, in every sport, "the best players are the highest paid." This debate is the exact same debate monahan had years ago; "would you rather get a $50M signing bonus or go play the Masters? Guess what, he was wrong then and he's wrong now.

  3. Question, what if the landscape changes and LIV becomes a bigger or similar name in 10 years? Would he have made the right decision looking back on it?

  4. Its a win win in my opinion. He gets good money, guarenteed TV time and creates awareness for joining LIV rather than the PGA. The other option was just being another potentially promising rookie among many on the PGA tour

  5. I don't see how you can give ranking points when you only play 3 rounds with no cut and music blaring out . Surely it would be unfair to pga tour players who have to fight harder for points . Its like the older players playing on tour and then playing exhibition money matches, just keep it like that

  6. I wish all the best to Tom. Scored a couple rounds for him now. Real down to earth lad, just sat and ate with his family in the food tent after with the public. I work for LIV too so it’s all good. I don’t know why Europeans glaze the PGA at all personally. It’s our sport, not theirs.

  7. How many really good young players have there been in the past that for one reason or another just didn’t make it on the pga tour 🤷‍♂️ so when someone comes along and offers a young man more money than Rory has won in his career if he signs now you’d be a fool not to take it. As for majors ask Colin Montgomery about how hard it is to win a major 🤷‍♂️
