This fight is forsure top 3 ufc fights of all time, both these dudes are the definition of warriors
Some of the best moments of this fights happened between the rounds and they cut them. This is not it.
Both of these guys are studs! Kudos!!
I just had to be the 666th comment.
This is probably my favorite fight in UFC history. These guys left everything in the cage.
Everyone looks at the heart and toughness. Lawler has the best sprawles I have ever seen in my life.
It was definitely a pretty good fight. But "greatest fight ever"? Or whatever? I think that may be a bit of a stretch.
Had firas not kept on telling rory to calm down and back off when he was in control or rory had just ignored him ehen it came to that (like gsp used to do) we might have had rory as champion. Don't get me wrong Firas is decent at teaching technique (as long as you have the same build as him, otherwise he's worse than nothing) but he really is kinda shit at strategy and knowing when to pour on and when not to.
Rory was ahead of his time, those teeps to the body are something everyone in mma uses nowadays
Boring up until the end of the 4th round when they finally start fighting.
First 18 mins was like watching Paul vs Tyson. Boring! Definitely not the greatest fight ever. Not even top 20.
Greatest fight of all time without a doubt
Rory McDonald was never the same after this fight.
I find this fight rather boring.
Missing out the stare down at the end of the 4th round is criminal! Goosebumps!
Why take out the stare down? I'm just trying to think of reasons….
They implemented the wrong game plan against Robby. He is all hands leaving his lead leg all open. Even though Robby has great takedown defense Firas shouldve had Rory go for more takedowns or at least fake the takedowns more and throw more leg kicks. Hindsight is 20/20. They mostly stood in boxing range all night with Robby. Recipe for disaster as we all saw. Rory had his moments at th end of the 3rd and first half of the 4th when he had Robby hurt. This is definitely not the greatest fight of all time. One of the best in welterweight history for sure.
MARVELOUS
This is forever and ever the greatest fight in any combat sport ever. Regardless of what was in stakes, even if this fight was a co-main event, it would still be the greatest fight of all time. Thank you forever to this great warriors ππ½
MacDonald's face lights up but he sure can take a punch, and his jabs and kicks are really fast !
