Bernhard Langer had won at least one event in 17 consecutive years on the senior circuit, but had yet to win in 2024.

The 67-year-old German, who tore his Achilles tendon earlier in the year, had one last shot at the Charles Schwab Cup Championship and it came down to his final stroke.

Langer nailed a 30-footer on the 18th hole to extend his streak, besting Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus, whose records of 17 years of winning on the PGA Tour ended while they were in their 40s.

Bernhard, who had never finished within five shots of the winner at Phoenix Country Club, also extended his record of career wins to 47.

Langer holds the record for oldest winner on the PGA Tour Champions, which he has set six times, including at the Charles Schwab.

Believe it or not, this is actually the second time Langer has strung together 18 consecutive years of winning.

He won the British Masters in 1980 and won at least one event every year following until the German Masters in 1997.
