Nothing will beat the 2014 Epon Personal 2 irons
I’m sure that these irons are phenomenal, but I’m not paying $1400+tax for these. No way. I’m so done with these manufacturers. I could buy 2 different sets of Takomos for less. The 301 Combo set does exactly what these do at more than half the price. Even if you really want a Japanese forging, go look at the Toura JCB-Cut irons for $900. I’m tired of the manufacturers trying to overprice this stuff. It’s getting old.

This is your first review where I find your rankings totally off even misleading. A 5 for distance and forgiveness? This is a ball strikers iron. Distance is mainly generated from the player. As for forgiveness saying this is a 5 would mean you can pretty much hit it all over the face and see little drop in ball spd. These are still good irons for the very capable player but your review is misleading.
Gabe,as you know, I have followed you for so long. The tone of your voice gives it all away. You sounded so happy with all the strikes and results. I know you give your honest opinions. For a low to mid handicap player these are a must try.

Looking to replace a set of TC 201’s. At the time, Mizuno really didn’t have anything I really liked. Like you, I played the MP 33’s, then 69’s, JPX 900 (wonderful leading edge design, 919. So Miura.
Now, I am really excited to purchase a set or two of the new Pro S 3’’s!
Also, I tried the new Srixon zip 7’s with a DG mid, very impressive. Very easy to hit, too.
So, it should be an expensive year!!

Gabe, Gene Sarazen only had one ace–it was a spectacular one late in his career–so plenty of time to get yours. Mizuno makes beautiful clubs. Pricing has a lot of us looking at used with their brand.
Gabe – funny that you mention getting out of trouble from that spot on #4: the tree you were under has a plaque on it memorializing someone who made an eagle from under that tree and “never let anyone forget it”. Great video!
Gabe had my Mizuno fitting this morning and after 2 hits, I decided to buy them. I still have my 923 JP tours thinking 925s coming out soon. Found out the S3 irons are the new 925 JPX tours. Can't wait for them to be shipped end of this month or beginning of February. Thanks for the video and review.
