  1. Please let me tell you what you need to know…………..that is the best thing for me to be able to get the latest version of Patrick Roy.

  2. I think it is still too early but as a goalie I can say that he has a lot of talent and his technique is incredible. He played with an incredible confidence. It is still early to know if it is his peak or his standard. But for me I do believe that there is a great potential. He also has a fluidity in his movements that is underrated to be a top goalie in the nhl. So like I said he has potential but we need to see more of him to see what are his lows and highs.

  3. Also he has the best goals against for a NHL rookie ever, all time , after 2 games! Only 2 games but hey! Best ever!

  4. Dobes wants to be in the NHL more than anyone else, when you have that kind of incentive , anything is possble.

  5. Like Dobes confidence. Liked his comment that he sees the NHL game easier than the AHL. Let's not get ahead of ourselves with the comparisons.

  6. You dont watch anyvHabs games 😅
Dobes unorthodox style reminds me of Roy
    Tall and Lanky, Clutch

  7. There are more than 80 games in a regular season, and then comes the true test in the playoffs. Most difficult league to have real success in, in any sport. We shall see.

  8. Hughes? Dobes was drafted by Bergevin in 2020. Everybody who saw Dobes play in the preseason against Toronto knew he was really good and deserved another look, but Primeau was in the way. It was just a matter of time before he was called up because Primeau had issues. Dobes is an athletic style goalie and has been compared to his Czech countryman Dominik Hasek. He is nothing like Roy or Halak.

  9. He shutout cup champs the 1 pp goal against in a shootout win against best offensive team … and oh ya on the road …he will get a standing ovation by habs fans..

  10. Habs are just in a situation where shuffling things is an acceptable risk. If a top 10 team makes a trade or brings up a rookie to discover a gem, that’s a major win.
If they make playoffs consistently starting 2026-27, I’d say Kent Hughes did his job successfully. A 500 season this year would be a step in the right direction that fans can digest.

  11. S is completely crazy Leggo. He only played 2 games. Give him a break . I hope Dobes gets a real opportunity to prove himself. Dobes looks really good but he needs time to adjust to the NHL and his new environmemt. GHG

  12. Ghosts of Ken Dryden

Another 23 year old has come down from the mountain to lead Montreal out of the desert these long and lean years.

Dryden backstopped a Montreal dynasty with 6 cups ….4 straight.

This team can be a real darkhorse this year.

    This team is real.

  13. why people compare dobes to primeau? its like comparing a nhl player to a ahl player compare him to nhl goalies he proved hes in the conversation over montembault id say
