This video features a golf irons loft test with Emma Carpenter, a former Division 1 college golfer. More specifically, this video features two golf irons at the same loft, but are built very differently. Emma tests a PING G430 8-iron and a PING Blueprint T 7-iron in a head-to-head test. While it’s not a perfect test, this golf irons loft test aims to show the difference between a muscleback forged iron and a forgiving, cavity-back game-improvement iron.

EDITOR’S NOTE – Each iron is at 33 degrees of loft. The 30 degrees labeled is incorrect.

  1. What balls are you hitting? Also, the G430 8I is 31.5( power loft), not 30. Also it's 31.5 (power loft)with the Blue Print T.

  2. Awesome that you did this. Once I got a simulator, I saw these exact same results. All this technology BS for irons is just that. It's funny reading golf forums and seeing so many people think tech in irons is so far advanced, lol. Im sure some are sponsored and have to say that…
