For 2 decades I approached the last Saturday of November with anxiety & angst that I grew uncomfortably familiar with. And all the Michigan fans I know felt the same in that stretch. Never once did I hear a fan, alumni, media personality etc; from Michigan downplay the Ohio State game. Never. Not one time. There were no excuses. No downplay of the rivalry. This, to me, is what makes the Ohio State/Michigan rivalry special. It’s just different. It’s not the iron bowl. It’s not USC/ND. There is nothing in football that is as pure, as special & that sums up everything that makes college football the greatest sport on earth like this rivalry. The media driven attempt in Ohio to downplay this years loss to Michigan is embarrassing, shameful & honestly, as a Michigan fan that bleeds maize & blue & has been in front of the tv every single last Saturday in November since 1985, its disappointing. I know the real hardcore fans don’t feel this way. I know y’all feel just like Zach & Chris said on today’s show; that even a national title run this season will feel tainted bcuz of the L y’all took against us.
