I wonder that one day some of the YT golfers will build their own golf courses like the Bryan Bros did and then compete amongst each other, like teams events and such. I think Good Good is working on building a course. Could Rick Shiels and Peter Finch build their own course and create some kind of YT competition amongst YouTube golfers? I just saw so much opportunity when they did their latest collab across the pond. IMO YT golf is the best golf there is right now.
59 versus 58 is ridiculous. There is no logic! lol. I get the thought behind the hole in one on par 3 and par 4, a par 4 feels like pure luck after a good drive where a par 3 feels more like "skill". But Im definitely taking the par 4! The scores and birdy/par/bogey combos to achieve a score is ALL dependent on the quality of the shots, not the results. For me I would absolutely rather play well, hit shots how I wanted and not quite make scores rather than play B or C level and squeak in putts and random chip in saves. Give me a quality round that doesn't bear fruit rather than iffy play that gets lucky.
What the hell happened to the video at 42:44?
What brands had a bigger hammering this week? Jaguar or Zenturuon?
Gret content as usual. However, I don't think the rules about having your own clubs is because of time. I think it has more to do with money than anything. If everyone could share, they would struggle to rent out their rental sets. Could even effect their golf club sales. I think a simple fix would have been for them to just pay for the right hand rentals, and then share the lefties out on the course. I doubt anyone would pay any attention, or even notice.
You should review your ping putter again. It's been better than you thought
Thank you ever so much for answering my question fellas. Ever so sorry, Guy (or is it Grant?), bit of a brain melt moment. Gonna go hide and be embarrassed now.
NY GOLFER…. New York itself just outside the city has lots of course…. Public courses in the city suck especially after COVID …after COVID plus is a lot of people discovered golf…after COVID the downside is ALOT OF PEOPLE DISCOVERED GOLF…. Slow pace would be an understatement….. just get use to teeing off before the sun comes up and get first tee times if u want any chance of getting a 2-3hr round in…. But golf is available…
These guy are obsessive over places making money
I'm fairly new to golf and to my view it does have a serious inclusion problem, and it's very much perception based i think.
I'm a beginner, I've been idly browsing the local clubs/courses to have a go at or try to join when i get good enough. But i'm not set on being a member, i just like the challenge of learning golf because it seems ruddy hard.
There is nothing more of a turn off than a club website with the 'Rules of Etiquette' 'Dress code' or stuff like this plastered right up up front for all to see.
It feels snooty and in some cases a bit creepy to care about the height of someone's socks or how tailored ones shorts may be. So long as people aren't dressed lewdly anything more than that seems like snobbery to me. I don't want a lesson in deportment and manners before taking up a leisure activity. So having one immediately makes the sport off-putting. Golf seems to assume everyone is going to be impolite and rules accordingly. Why not assume people will be polite and have a word with those that aren't. Much nicer for those who would be polite without rules, amtd those those surely are the ones you want to encourage.
If clubs need new members they need to bear in mind that rules only discourage people who obey rules. People who both want to play golf and don't give a damn about rules will turn up anyway and put effort into subversion of the rules. Who do clubs actually want?
The score flip at the end is one I can relate to. Playing in a board comp off 12 hcap, I shot -2 on front 9, then my arse fell out and I shot +12 on the back. I won the comp by 1 shot, but was gutted about what could have been! 😢
18:13 Luckily the 2 vs 2 vs 2 was described as the longest video, I can now skip it without regrets…
Full round coverage seems to be the trend now. I don’t actually second this development. It’s been good to consume more channels within the same time span we now get to see just one mega-long movie.
Club sharing is considered a pace down issue. But it shouldn’t have to be.
Snoutiness would make better sence. 😅
Snootiness is a phenomena between competitors in any sport. You end up in a pack of same skill level or results in your sports, but try to be polite with the lesser gamer as well. But it defenately shows on most people’s mannerism, that they don’t apreshiate the last third of the field the same as the better half.
As a low index player, I shot 98 on a golf break in Spain last week. We had played every day walking and carrying. And on our last round ending the trip and the whole season of 2024, honestly after three holes my swing and game just detoriorated. Wheels flew off and I lost all confidence in my ball striking.
The round turned into an absolute nightmare and it was grinding all the way thru since the third hole, where I skulled a wedge over the green from 70 yards, got under trees and into the perimeter fence. Could not get my club at the ball. Tried to chip anyway out from the horrible spot.
Hit a tree ending up even closer to the fence and had to take an unplayable… Really horrible decision to even try the first shot off the fence. Should have cancelled the shot – taken an unplayable right away and play another ball from the spot, I was trying to reach the green in the first place.
Then on the fourth tee shot I hit the dreadfull hozel rocket behind the trees and close to the next teeing area for the first time since, I don’t know how many years. Had to hit a flop-shot over the pine trees and magically saved a bogey on the par-3 though. By this time my selfconfidence had been dented really badly. I could not find the face of any of my clubs, and was in fear of another shank for the rest of the round.
Golf is so hard, and needs your full attention, when playing and trying to post a score. Fatique kicking in and you lose just a little of your concentration, there is very little you can do, but to try your best still and forget the previous shots, You have allready taken. It may or may not help, but at least you can say, I tried and did not quit.
Good video guys. You forgot to mention Wesley shot the course record 61 at the RSM. A notable achievement.
Makes no odds if they wear a hat in clubhouse, wear a football shirt on the course or does it, my experience is they also tend to be the ones visiting the trees on 14 holes but shoot an 80 – just saying
As a LH golfer I find that a lot of course do not have clubs to rent or if they do they are not in good shape. I find it hard that I have to send/ carry my clubs when I go on vacation or sometimes not be able to play a course I want to play. It has improved since I originally started playing 20yrs ago but still we are outcasts 😂
That junk probably has 80% margin on it. lol
NYC is a dump… unfortunately London is becoming one too.
Are you guys on a Christmas break?
…. haven't seen any content recently.
Here in America they wouldn't care if you shared golf clubs. Don't understand why they wouldn't want you to
