Im not trying to shame Sterling, but man if he would have just been content with finishing 4th all would have been okay. But i also get it, its the 500.
Earnhardt knew how to do just about anything in a race car, but on that day, he was trying to do something he’d never done before. And it cost him his life. It was of the saddest times of my life, which I suppose is a tribute to the charmed life I’ve lead since I didn’t know the man and had no right to morn him when he had friends and family who loved him deeply, but it hurt me very badly.
I was screaming that the on the last 10 laps. I kept saying that he was going to wreck because this isn't how he races, and he's too distracted. Then it happened. That sucks. It still sucks.

I feel like this is the first race in Dales life where he wasn’t trying everything to win it himself. He was defending and it cost him
If Dale Earnhardt got caught up in that big one, then he would still be here to this day 😢

Michael had just a little bit of a better car than Juniors and Earnhart just barely had a car that could keep up with the two.
