  1. TRE is next week already! Looking forward to the shoe tubers videos for the next few weeks. I agree with the Mizuno props.

  2. Another great podcast. Love hearing about all the past and current greats. How about interviewing Steve Scott in a future episode. I loved watching him race back in the day.

  3. I commented somewhere recently, it is a great time to be a purchaser and user of footwear. While I am a couple of decades too old to be competitive, I can still enjoy the run and all the perks. Things are a little different over here in the UK (some shoes are priced out of the market with unrealistic exchange rates), and Asics do not sell via independent retailers on this side of the Atlantic. But it does not take away from the excitement of innovation. Skechers speed elite was such an underated shoe.

  4. I agree that Jake's attitude, swagger, and big mouth are great. But I wouldn't hold my breath for any record 10k or up.

  5. I was a competitive runner in the '90s and early aughts, retired due to arthritis, and 18 years later (a few months ago) started up again. The differences in shoes are just insane. I'll never be as fast as I was, but the shoes make running more fun now than it was then.
