  1. Has the Fever screwed up already ?? I wonder if management consults with players ?? Someone in the front office, doesn’t know shit from apple butter ! TEMI was better than SMITH !

  2. Temi knew she wouldn't get playing time with the Fever next season, so it's to her advantage. Remember, Kelly and Stephanie are looking for vets who can lead the team to many championships. Fever needs a big vet. I'm sad Temi left. I liked her too.

  3. Agree with you. Temi was a beautiful classy lady and great teammate. Guess the Fever choose younger classless Nalyssa over 32 year old Temi. Sad indeed

  4. So glad the Fever management kept Smith, such a talent….that belongs in the NFL. Supposedly the Fever is holding back for a big trade but no other team wants her because she is totally toxic on any team with maybe the exception of the Connecticut Scum.

  5. They might not have lost Temi. She is a free agent as of January. I honestly don't know why Golden State drafted a player they might lose when free agency starts. Unless they know they will make an offer she cannot refuse.

I know people are upset that Temi was drafted, but it made no sense to protect her when she was no longer going to be under contract come January. It's different with Kelsey. They are going to Core Kelsey Mitchell, and if KM wants to still leave, the Fever will be compensated for it. Fans use emotions in these decisions for the most part. But teams protect players that they will still have under contract. Teams do not want to lose a player for nothing. I have no problems with the decision not to protect Temi. It would have looked foolish if they had, and then she decided to sign somewhere else next month or stay in Europe to play.

  6. White said she wanted to stabilize the defense and then she traded Temi. That I dont understand unless CC and the powers to be have been working on a defensive agent to scoop up in a trade. Temi was just one tough hombre. She was not afraid to mix it up for CC. She was quick on the floor and was not afraid to get bruised up in order to get to the boards. She had CC's back from the get-go and regardless of her age, which was not a fault, she will be hard to replace in spirit or character.

I am unsure of White, we will see how quickly and strategically she gets rid of the toxic Smith. Smith is contagious- she just needs to be eradicated before any more damage is done. That locker room needs stability and support. These players need to know that they can count on being uplifted and supported, not constantly torn down, all of them – including CC. If that doesnt happen then I think CC just needs to go via trade, for her own good.

  7. Doesn't the Fever front office need to prove on its defense? First Celeste Taylor and now Temi. Words cannot describe how pissed off I am by this. Screw this organization right now but I'm still a CC and Fdver fan and will watch faithfully. Hopefully, the Fever can go on and succeed without Temi. DAMN YOU, FEVER!!! So freakin’ NaLyssa Smith is still here? 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮

  8. Temi couldn’t catch a pass at end of season. Yes fan favorite and good player, but as we waited for her to come back she wasn’t the same.

  9. I obviously do not understand how the process works. Temi was a gem in the locker room and on the court to be cherished and appreciated. NaLyssa should have been gone six months ago. There must be a reason I am unaware of for not protecting Temi. I would have been thrilled to see NaLyssa gone.

  10. Sad to see Temi go as she always had Clark's back and is a good defensive-minded center. The Fever must upgrade the forward and center positions.

  11. They likely protected a young Grace Berger. I loved Temi, but they won't be trading to get her back either. The Fever are moving forward. They are playing the long game.

  12. Kelly, Amber and Coach Steph. must have had good reason for for the decisions they are making and so let's see where they go from here.

  13. No way… that sucks.. it does sting.. I thought we sent Nalyssa packing already.. Temi was great… mistake for sure.. Grace Berger…? Get the fuck out of here.. I'm saddened too

  14. You're crazy — you all do understand that when only 6 players can be protected, SIX (or possibly more, if some not currently on the roster) were unprotected — not just Temi! Which 2 of the 8 outside of the Fantastic Four do you protect, why? Berger, Saxton, Wallace, Wheeler, Dantas, Fagbenle, Smith, or Samuelson? I'd say Smith, Berger, Fagbenle maybe. Temi is an asset, but unreliable (injuries and age) and also a potential $$ cap liability. Smith and Berger are both worth some good trades. Not sure anybidy is going to snatch up Saxton, Wallace, Wheeler ($$$), or Samuelson ($$$). The Fever will get draft picks and trades, and may be saying goodbye to some of these players in 2025. That's the reality in the league. Theyre building to win.

  15. I actually feel like this was a long term move with Kate Martin- know she is a huge leader, fantastic person, hard worker, a glue and culture changer so you draft her to the aces to be around a veteran team knowing the whole time you’re training her to lead and build the culture of the first expansion team in 15+ years. At a huge moment in the league. They need this to be successful. Kate Martin will absolutely be part of that. So happy for her.

Temi? Man, that hurts. But glad I get to still enjoy her game. I def will be watching.

  16. Why would any team hold onto any athlete who is either physically injured or always unhealthy throughout the season ?
Granted, she may have been good during the short time she could play — but no team, who,is wanting to improve ,to be a team in the Championships, and wanting to be far more successful victory wise — sorry, but can fully understand the, reasoning for the
    FEVER not protecting this athlete.
Strategies are what this team must focus on and any other team must also do the same for their own benefits for their season.
As sad and unfortunate such decisions are — they obviously had / have to be taken.
Whether they are agreed upon or not by those of the Public domain/society.
None of us are over seeing these teams teams, organizations.
Nor are any of us owners.

  17. Management would do well to realize that fans form loyalties first to players, only secondly to franchises. Haw many Fever fans became Fever fans by first being Caitlin fans? We loved Temi. Still do. Now management is on the hook and needs to redeem itself by going after Izzy Harrison.

  18. They cored Smith and Katie Lou. No other options out there that a team wouldn't jump on. I want to have faith, but holy shit this one is a bad start. There better be some hella good trade deals in the mix, or this season is cooked

  19. I don't think the Midwest bbteam commands the respect that they should. Megan Gustafson comes to mind. As does Ayoka Lee. Think outside the WNBA box😮

  20. They didn't protect Temi? She could actually run the floor with CC! AB better be training, eating right, and getting prepared to run!

  21. I knew they weren't going to protect her bcuz of her age & injuries. Nalyssa I believe is going to be traded. I really hope they give grace some playing time bcuz she can play & her defense is pretty good. Plus she has a midrange jumpshot. Sides just had her playing the bench

  22. Temi is is real tough and called the fake tough. Mean streets of London. They had to keep NS to trade and GB because Sides let her down
